Just switched over to using Dtecs OX and definitely finding it more comfortable to use.
Skip to 3mins if you want to see the fishing/chopping practise and skip to 5.45 to see me get demolished lol

Hi, it seems like it's a quite solid Defensive setup and nice backhand chops control. I'm kinda interested in this Blade VKM, do you find this blade combined with your rubbers has very stable control on the Chops and also for counter attacks and blocks? thanks

It's quite long ago now I played but I would say the blade is very versatile, it felt like the middle ground, good at everything but not best. The Donic defplay in my recent videos was definitely better for control and the Joo Se hyuk blade was better for attacking but the worse for control. Cannot go wrong with this specific blade imo

@@ndragon88 I also have Defplay senso, so between both blades VKM and Defplay , which one you think is better for more speed attack, though both blades are Defensive blades. What control do you mean, what is your playing style, Chopping?

@joll1e I don't play anymore but it was chopping backhand, no chopping fh. I would say both are good, VKM definitely had the better FH capability

Nick, what rubber do you use on FH please? I have Victas KMD and still looking for the suitable rubber for FH. I am close to table player.

I like soft rubbers and I was using stigma mantra S. You would probably prefer something harder for closer to table. Maybe the M or H version

@@gudangpupuk706 yeah tbh it's actually better for close to table. OX especially. In my level of play I didn't have to drop back and chop as much as I did close to table funny business which often won me points

Nick, are you still using the dtecs OX for chopping? How do you find it? Are the chops heavy? How's the control? I'm thinking of giving the dtecs a go as it's one I've not tried yet.

@@eczavyr2899 tell that to Markus Grothe lol. I understand your point though, but think of Dtecs as a safe chopping LP since it's not too much friction similar to Dornenglanz in which Gustaf Ericson chops with OX too....

So sorry I didn't reply to you, I think I was having operation at the time. I'm back playing TT and literally just now started to chop again and using Dtecs OX. It's quite safe and noob friendly tbh. Did you end up trying it?

@@callumlove9936 JSH used D.TecS with a 1.5mm sponge (almost entirely a different rubber to the OX version we can see Nick using here) for only a brief period of time, and only in an attempt to confuse the Chinese players. he went back to P1-R, which he has used for the majority of his career. I believe now he's using P3A.

D Tecs on OX is good at close table block. Chopping is not consistent. Mid distance chop can fly over the table. More than you can get it to the table. Of course this rubber needs lots of practice to feel its rubber. D tecs is never like some other LP.
