      I couldn't agree more! I love the look of the Slim, and combine that with the handling and you're really on to something. This bike is probably my favourite style-wise of the whole Harley Line up.

    After 5 years out of the saddle (2003 Road King) I realized riding was important part of my life. Cruiser this time, and after 3 months of videos, dealerships, and comparing the different softails, rode this Slim home yesterday! I’m 6’4”, 260 lbs, and it cruises without a care! Keeping it simple this time! Be safe brothers!

      Same here! Also 5'10" looking at getting this bike. The missus is 5'3" so she's getting a Low Rider. Mid-controls and all. I was dead-set on getting a sport tourer(same money- but with TONS of features not available here), but now that the missus wants to ride, I might as well get a cruiser to go with what the missus can fit onto. I can live without heated grips and riding modes but CC will definitely be added. We're gonna look badass.

    • @SykesHDUK
      @SykesHDUK  Před 4 lety +1

      Hey bud,
      You definitely could, it's the same frame as the Street Bob, but you're talking about quite a considerable amount of work there, I think you'd end up with a bill of a few grand before you'd finish! But I do agree it would look cool with that chopper style - "no speedo" look! Have a chat with your local dealer and see what they have to say!
      I hope that helps

      @@SykesHDUK How is it easier to replace a tube than plug a tubeless tyre at the side of the road? Do you carry a bike lift, tyre levers, tube and tools to remove the wheel? Also tubeless are much safer if you get a puncture taking longer to go flat. Thanks for the reply although it is difficult to find out if these rims are tubeless as nothing is mentioned in Harley literature and dealers are unsure.

    • @bytestream
      @bytestream Před 4 lety +2

      2018+ M8 spoked rims are tubed. My 2019 Slim is tubed. The tire is tubeless compatible. You can convert the rim to tubeless, few vids on youtube how to do it. The giveaway tube indicator is the threaded nut on the valve stem.

    • @splodge5714
      @splodge5714 Před 4 lety +2

      Hey Johnny,
      I know what you mean, and we do get a lot of people asking why Harley don't do a 114 as a stock option, you could always go for a Stage III and have a big bore kit put on, but it might even be worth trying a Stage II first and seeing if that gives you the extra power you're looking for, I'd say that for most riders a Stage II would give you more power than you would ever need on a bike that you're running on the road.
      Let us know if you do decide to go for a Slim!

    Wheels need to be all chrome not just the spokes. Chrome engine casing, Chrome oil tank. My preference is the sealed bean hi/lo head light 8" dia. (in glass) not plastic crap. Buckhorn handlebars. Drop that rear fender to mount the light & license plate eliminating that plastic junk, providing that rear fender is still made of steel. You need (correct spoke wheel balance weights) instead of car weights. Those come off.
