I'm only 12 years old and I got my beginner scuba diving license and went diving with 10 sharks that were around 7ft black tips. I used to be scared of them, but when I got down into the ocean the reef, the fish, and the wildlife was so beautiful and calming that I wasn't scared anymore. Face your fears the results are worth it!

Becareful out there kiddo! Your very brave, never forget that these are wild animals. Sometimes they can be unpredictable and do things for absolutely no reason. Always be alert. Complacency is how accidents happen. Wishing you many safe dives ahead!

@@fishwatcher whats your point? I never said it wasn't.. school shootings have nothing to do with diving. Just because your more likely to die in car accident then you are while diving doesn't mean that you shouldn't use caution while diving. An intelligent person avoids complacency regardless of there experience or how long they've been diving and they prepare for the unexpected.
That is something most of us don't learn until much later in life. Good advice.

Maybe there is a psychopath shark floating around or some jealous ex of the shark that's being hugged.
They aren't dangerous in the sense that they prey on humans, but they can still lash out and attack if they're hungry (despite them not considering us prey), or if they're having a bad day and you pester them.

ok sharks is one of the most dangerous living creature on earth!! ok let me tell you one thing...sharks can sense people they can tell that people are scared,nervous,afraid,angry,shy why? because when people see's how scary the sharks looks and the sharks knows that they are scared because people just run away from the shark and they also even make loud noises (splash,screaming) thats how sharks feels!! sharks are sensitive and i know because of the way people treat them..they get scared and try too bite them...sharks loves people who are calm, not scared, BRAVE and respectful to them cause if you show all animals,wild animals, sea animals or any animals that you really love them then treat them with care and DO NOT FEAR!! or else they will feel the same way!!

There are different shark species that are not dangerous to humans, such as reef sharks, blue sharks. Try this with a tiger shark, a mako, hammer-head and a great white - totally different story
I know. Everyone in the comments is like " aaaah so cute. Why do we fear sharks?" I think this interaction would end up with her being a " quick human snack" if another shark species were to come " seek her out".
People have interacted with Tiger Sharks and Hammerheads amicably. Not sure about the great white, though I have seen videos of Whites surfacing and people gently pushing them back into the water, despite its teeth being deployed, the shark does not attempt to bite them. The Mako Shark is difficult to encounter due to its sheer speed and ecologically vulnerable status, but I have seen one video of one seemingly being playful and non-aggressive towards a diver.

You want to see a really cool relationship between a tiger shark (I believe she is either tiger or great white) named Emma and a diver by the name of John Abernathy. He’s on the Dodo channel with her too. She literally acts like a puppy dog, only with him. She recognizes him every time no matter how many people are down there with him…. She just goes directly to him. Check it out, it’s very amazing!
