Kachra saf ceremony by couples looks some thing special custom of german marriages . I love it.indian marriages should adopt this.I think in indian hindu marriages also have this same custom cleaning the yard through broom.
Kachra saaf ceremony nahi hai yeh. In German tradition a day before wedding celebration, relatives and friends break ceramic potteries because it is believe that sound of ceramic breakage will send the negative energy away.
Moreover in this tradition, all the relatives and friends tries to scatter the broken ceramic over all and the wedding couple have to clean it as soon as possible. In this way, a team work is very important and thus seen whether the couple are fit with each other or not :)

Why are they throwing the dishes
It is German tradition called as Polterabend. It is a belief in this tradition that breaking ceramic items creates noise which removes negative energy. Moreover, through this tradition it is seen how well the groom and bride coordinate with each other (clearing the broken ceramic).
