      Awesome if ever the sound gets shitty it isn’t you it’s the other persons phone. Best way to hear them as clearly as possible is pop in an earplug. One is always good enough for me.
      One thing about them that stays true is the other Roberson will ALWAYS hear you very clearly

    Hey bro nice real-world-application-no-BS review. Also have one. Really handy for calls. Im a military doctor so its really useful in the OR and conferences. Tried to use it on the gun range. I was afraid the boom mic might get busted due to loud gunshots but it didn’t lost its quality. Definitely a great buy.

    Man this is the truth. I used to rock the blue parrot 450 than got the 550. Problem with those is they squeeze the shit out of your head. Bought these last week and man game changer. Feels like your wearing nothing. Now it is true it does hurt but just take them off and readjust and your good. There a bit pricey, but if your gonna be wearing a headset for 14 hours I think the money is worth it.

    Just got a pair at Love’s Truck stop. Used a Blue Parrot 550xt, and got headaches. Sound quality of the parrot is legit but man on hot days/cold days, snowy days it sucks. Local Tanker driver. Fell in love with the shokz. Can hear and the quality is legit!! Obviously not as loud as a blue parrot but it definitely is loud. Thanks for the review, you are the reason l bought it. Stay safe out there !!

  • @BadAssDude69
    @BadAssDude69 Před rokem +5

    I'm comparing the Shokz and the BlueParrott 450. The Shokz seems more minimalist (lighter - easier to forget you're wearing it though you may need to shift it sometimes as it does SLIGHTLY clamp onto your head). However, it's battery life is lower. I also feel like sometimes I struggle to hear who I am listening to at full volume - while dealing the noise of my truck while driving (I work for FedEx Freight). I often will put an ear plug in one ear to help hear who I am speaking to though that defeats the purpose of the Shokz. Even with the ear plug in, I feel I can hear better with the BlueParrott 450 without the BlueParrott even being at max volume. Usually, the Shokz battery would last during my linehaul runs (usually around a 12 hour day), however, sometimes it would die if I used it heavily enough. The BlueParrott has yet to die before completing my day. Multiple people have said the Shokz headset microphone does sound better than my Galaxy Buds Pro that I used in the past. However, once again, they notice the BlueParrott sounds even better - noticably so. The Shokz wrap around the back of your head rather than the top of your head so that may be a pro or a con depending on your situation but I feel the Shokz layout is a minor annoyance when I tilt my head back or lean back on my sit in a certain way - though this is, once again, is of minor significance. I feel the Shokz might be easier to wear longer and it is more secure to the head - it would be the preference if putting your body in different orientations than merely keeping your head upright or if used while "being athletic."
    ULTIMATELY, I am returning the Shokz because, with the BlueParrott 450, I don't struggle to hear who I'm speaking to in a noisy environment, the battery will likely always last even on the longest of days and the microphone setup is better so the people I speak to hear me more clearly. The BlueParrott 450 makes communication more effortless so I can delegate more focus to driving.

    The in call quality is my complaint. I not too fond of the vibration in front of my ear.
    I'm compensating by putting only one next to my ear.
    Now to me the call quality could be smoother.

      It depends on the quality of the earphones the person that you are speaking to are using. Most of the time other people are using speaker phones so you can hear what they’re saying but you might miss some of the words. My voice sounded faint and i could barely hear my conversation because I constantly had to keep adjusting the headset for the conducting part to stay in place and be able to hear a bit better. I’m not sure if it was because of the shape of my head or it was just simply the headset. On a positive note it was very comfortable to wear I could barely tell it was there.

      What are you talking about good luck with the cords and those earplugs that don’t wrap around your head??? 😂😂 I use an in ear Bluetooth headset. By law you know you can’t have both ears covered while driving so I don’t get your point on that.
      Mine didn’t come with earplugs It might be a newer model. I purchased my headset last mont so it might be the newer ones that don’t come with earplugs but thats my point. Even AfterShockz knows that they aren’t meant for noisy environments and if you are going to use an earplug then it defeats the purpose of the headset which is to have both ears open. At that point just use an over the ear or in ear Bluetooth headset.
      I’m not trying to discredit you or say it’s a bad headset its just simply not meant for noisy environments in my experience.
