.22 hornet is a pretty hot round, over 3000 fps.

Watching the reveal today hearing them say it's a more close range gun and seeing how animals react to the round makes me feel like they kinda missed the mark with the hornet to soon to tell but sure it'll get buff eventually if needed.i hope

The first rifle my dad owned was a .22 hornet and the first thing he shot was a springbuck at 110 yards (100 meters) here in South Africa
On EW’s live stream they said that there will be no more “common” fur variations. I believe that’s why it said red brown for the whitetail deer instead of common
I wonder if they'll add a duck species or two to this map after the waterfowl rework. I know they said on stream that this wasn't meant to be Rougarou Bayou 2.0, but it would be a shame not to at least have one duck species on this map eventually.
I believe they said today on the facebook stream that they are adding them as a free addon once the rework with fur, feathers, and animal movement is complete

I’m skeptical. They never added paradise ducks to Te Awaroa and its been out for a year at this point
If they wanted a Rougarou Bayou-type map they would've added a Florida or Louisiana-based map
The 22 hornet is sadly ridiculously underpowered in game. Class 1 to 2 was a GIANT mistake. It should be class 1 to 3. The fact that it can't ethnically take lynx and bobcat when that is the bread and butter of this round is a travesty

All weapons are ridiculously underpowered in this game, sadly. Tell me why I can't get a full pass through on a whitetail with a 300 magnum smh.
They all are look a the 6.5 and the .270 well underpowered

Even without tru size alligators they are still so cool and definitely one of my favorites for the lodge

gotta have a treble hook and drag line to recover your gator...else wise, you have to wait 3 days for it to float back up.
COTW hunter has some kind of telekinetic power... the ducks you shoot magically float towards you to.

Hey Guys, does anybody noticed that the bushes and trees in the Hirschfelden map do not make you hidden. That makes almost impossible to hunt in there now, and it's my favorite map.

This is so cool. I was born in Mississippi but have lived in the north my whole life, and I’ve always wanted to hunt there!
Those poses are so freaking cool. I wish they would do an an update for poses for animals that were already in the game

I believe TK and Jaxxy talked about the gators and said if they dive and and die, they aren’t retrievable. Similar to how a gator will sink when it dies in real life is how they described it. So all the more reason to better place your shots
I REALLY REALLY hope they add an feature that you can hunt racoons with a hound, as that is probably one of the only way people seriously hunt them
We hunt them with an E-caller in my area

Hey Flinter, thanks as always for the entertainment and showing us round the new map .
The hogs are definitely not just the same as the feral pigs, they actually look very realistic imo. Im quite excited to play the new map . There will no doubt be a few early glitches but tbh the developers tend to try and sort things quick which I like . I must say I love that they have went all in all the animal movements , the way the bear was running was perfect, I’m positive that’s slight different than on the other ramps with them .
I’m hoping the gators disappearing is just a small glitch which can be sorted , would hate to have gators on the map but you can’t kill them in the water .
Irl there’s a spot on the top of the gators head and just back a wee bit that you have to hit to kill. They are very tough to shoot irl . You have to be pretty much perfect with shot placement.
Most people rope gators before killing them irl hunts but I can’t see them bringing the ability to rope them into the game.
When it comes to gators irl the best way to shoot them is in the head there is a small quarter size soft to hit the brain and in irl you can get closer to make the shot easier. The way you normally hear it done is with either a item called a bang stick or a .22 from a boat.

I cant get outta medved. Been on it for weeks. Finally worked my herds up and i’m gettn some good big animal spawns now. Just got a new pb reindeer and a new pb brown bear. Got a mythical lynx that was chasing a female lynx in circles. Never seen that before. Been playin this game off and on for years and i still see new stuff.
This map looks so good. The species look so good. The new gun looks so good. I can't wait to play this next week.

Im having a bit of trouble with cotw at the moment. It won't sign me into the hunt thing so I cant use the ghillie suit and on maps after Yukon I can't tp.

7mm is an amazing gun. I had no idea it was a console exclusive.
So the PC version was called the “7mm Regent Magnum” it was very simple, just wood stock and normal barrel. The empress is engraved and much fancier looking 😁

They definitely nerfed the HELL out of the .22 Hornet. All of those Raccoons should have never moved after the first round. If you can ethically take raccoons in real life with a .22lr then the same should go for a video game.

Can someone tell me if this game runs better on pc than it does on xbox1? I’ve been playing for over a year on Xbox and it seems like there are constant glitches. Loss of sound and slow motion seem to be the ones that are plaguing me lately.

Hey Flinter idk if you know but since raccoons are a class 1 animal you actually don’t have to hit a vital organ for them. So if a level 5 is sprinting away from you then a texas heart shot is always an option XD

From watching swamp people, .22 in between the eyes is where you shoot the gator

Being born n raised in rural Florida, this map feels a lot like home!
Also wild hogs and feral pigs are two separate species one of the easiest differences to notice (irl) is that the fur of a wild hog is much stiffer
Puma vs mountain lion is just different names for the same species
Yeah and cougar is the same as mountain lion too

The first alligator you shot when it made double hunting pressure was because the gaters will cause hunting pressure to other gaters and other animals like hogs and deer
Will this release at the same time on console as PC or will it be delayed like the others?
Irl yeah you would normally shoot gators on the top of the head with a smaller caliber like .22 or .17
