Austin what a privilege to have mom teach you how to rake. Busy, wonderful folks.❤
Yep she's a good Mom.......
Austin is so lucky to have a mom that includes her in all aspects of farming. 👏👏👏 She May run it one day 🚜🚜🚜
As hard as it is on you I feel for poor Austin she must have been horrified glad all is well
Tears me up when my animals are hurt.💔 Here's to a long patch of good luck!!
I am so thankful to you vet that could come and give the the immediate help you needed. Thank God he was there for you! May God bless him and the horses too!! Hope you can rest a little easier for a while now.. Tell Lawrence we miss seeing him. lol
I've got a feeling Austin will be the designated hay racker next year and you'll playing with the dogs and flipping hamburgers! Always a great show to watch!
Sorry your horses were injured, glad they are going to be OK! I’m not sure how long I’ve been following your channel, but I look forward to each new video. You have an amazing family and I think your kids are amazing and I think they are going to be amazing adults. Hard to believe Wes is only 14, he is very mature for his age! Austin is an amazing horsewoman, she seems to have inherited some really good genes! Such a hard working family, wish you the best always!
Rest In Peace Harmless Farmer
Meredith, according to the folks on @Farm on Route 66, if there is ever a bleed out on farm animals or even people, use Helichrysum oil to stop the bleeding. They keep it for their horses when they castrate them, if they bleed excessively and they also keep it in their vehicles in the event it is needed in an accident. It’s fairly expensive, but I would keep it for sure if I were a farmer. I’m so glad the horses will be alright! Love y’all!!
Raising smart farmers! God Bless those two for being such good caretakers on the farm.
So scary!! We feel your thankfulness for two horses on the mend! 😭 We have been there…sometimes with not an outcome as positive! Love the “He has a plan!” Yep!….that’s Dad! He always has a plan! 😉 Sooooo excited for your G2!! So happy for you all! Thank you for sharing your heart with all of us on this part of the world! Blessings to you all from your friends from Kansas!
Wow, lots of drama in this video! So glad Hank is going to be fine! Give Ben and Hank a little rest and the kids can learn something new! Gertie II looks beautiful!💙
Sending prayers all horses get along, and heal. Good to see Gerdy 2 parked like she belongs there😊
Never a dull moment on the farm !! God bless all farmers 🙏..
The scissors like tool is called a Hemostat, but in my college daze [1970-1975] we called them a ROACH clip to hold the end of a joint,so as to not burn our fingers when smoking a 420 joint FYI
I Graduated college in 1975, from the University of IOWA (Hawkeyes) with a Bachelor's degree in applied Propaganda, and a minor in MILITARY SCIENCE [ROTC] I now hold a MASTERS degree in Psychological WARFARE from the united states Army COMMAND and General Staff college, Fort Leavenworth Kansas 1993
Did you have a teacher there named Babb?
Wow, that horse issue must have been pretty scary! Thanks Mere
Use canned spray foam (expandable)to fill all holes in your gates to keep the bee's out. The foam will fill the holes and keeps the bee`s away.
that will possibly trap condensation inside and rust the gate out
Bees here in Arizona ate right through that foam? Had to use caulking to seal up the spaces.
I’ve used the foam with success. I guess it depends on how bad the hornets are. I did have some success with the bee traps. The best trap I’ve seen was on CZcams where farmer used chicken as bait on the back of a board hung upside down over a tub of soapy water.
Little Spitting image of Meredith learning to Hay Rake 👏😁❤
Hahaha if you can't understand Lawrence on the radio how'd you expect us to? 🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣😄
Wow….that’s a rough day. Prayers for your family and horses. ❤
Thank you so much for the prayers!
Great video Meredith hope the horses get better soon Lawrence looks very happy with his new combine
I'm so glad the horses are ok! I'm blessed with an easy keeper QH gelding who stays out of trouble. When Wesley said that Ben laid down while he was riding, the first thought that came to mind was that the saddle was irritating him.
If life is a roller-coaster you have it made , I thought it was a Bucking Bull . Love you guys
So happy to see the kids doing ranch work on horseback. Hank will be a natural!! 👍🏻🤠
I'm so thankful Hank is okay. My heart about stopped when you said he was hurt. ❤️❤️
So happy to see Austin in the tractor. She will love farming. Good vlog.
Horses fighting can get violent fast , glad to hear the boys will be ok 👌
Meredith.
Thank You for Taking all of us along to that great horse riding work outs it is good to see the kids work out. Thank You for sharing your family's farm life videos. Please Take Care of your self and your family. 😷👍😎🤓
So Happy that Gertie 2.0 has a new home
You have the most Beautiful eyes ever...Im so happy the Horses are ok.
Never a dull moment on the farm. 😊
You got that right David!
I think LB is going to enjoy operating that combine. I am 86 and still get the urge to climb back on one. 👍👍
A little trick from my past. Dangle a rope from the rafters that marks the center of the driver when pulling into a high barn. It can be adjusted so that it hang down to center on the drivers nose when pulling into a tight spot. Another can to added if a stop point is needed. Just an idea that works when a spotter is not available. A tennis ball can be added to make it easier to see in a light restricted area..
Gerdie deserves a new home of her own.
Heyyyy there ! 👋 You go Austin and follow your mama in her amazing farm wife steps ! Stepping into her shoes would be an honor! 😊You and Wes are so blessed with the folks you have...and they have 2 very terrific kids! Get well and speedy recovery to our Hank and Ben ....get along guys ! You've got it made ! Prayers for y'all ! OHHHH MERE🥴 There's ALWAYS so much going on at Bernard Farm ! We're all pulling for a break for you ! Sorry life gets so crazy...it seems like when it rains it pours ! 😔 hang in there ! We all love y'all ❤!
Thank the Lord your horses are doing good. Thank you for sharing your life. Blessings
Thanks so much for watching! xx
I’m so sorry about the horses. I’m so thankful that the vet got there and fixed him up. Poor fella. I know that had to be scary and nerve racking. That sure looked like a fire ant bed. If so I would definitely be treating those beds. They are evil and spread so quickly. Sure don’t want them around new baby calves. I really enjoy y’all teaching the kids what y’all are doing and how to do it. They’re so smart and definitely always there to help. Y’all are doing fantastic, raising the beautiful, handsome and smart kids. I personally believe that home schooling is so much better than public schools. Glad y’all got Gerdy (spelling 🤷🏻♀️) 2.0 in. I’m so happy for y’all that you were able to get her. Such a blessing. Your whole family is amazing and I appreciate you sharing with us so much. 💕
hey y’all i like how your fields are surrounded by the woods.
A BIG, BIG! Video! Chucked full of life on the Bernard homestead. The GOOD, The BAD, and The UGLY ! Life goes on. YEA! G-2 Gerty! Nice! Love and prayers. God bless.
Thanks for watching our real, Don! 😊
Hopefully horse's will be ok soon, Have a Great Weekend 👍
so glad Hank and the horses are O.K. prayers for all. stay safe.
Wow that is one heck of a bean crop. May all your bins bust this harvest!! 👌👊
Thanks so much! 🥰
Tell Lawerence ,Siri doesn’t understand my country slang either🤣🤣🤣🤣
Meredith is a doll!
Kind of looks like Hank may be a little mad still. Good Idea keeping them together, you just have to wait and see.
Love that dad, watching out for Austin
Us dads always have to look out for our little girls. It's what we do. 😎
Bonny's Hop skips and lil jumps with her 2 back legs crack me up.
It`s good that the Horses are doing better you made me Tear up Meredith when you said you was Crying at the Table lol
He will like the new combine when he learns how it works.
I've only lost one horse in my 64 years . We had bought a bigger place for all of our horses and apparently he either stepped in a hole or one of the other horses kicked him , but he had a compound fracture on his left rear leg , and it was my 9 year old sons , who is 40 now with 3 kids of his own . Talking about making a grown man cry , would never want me , or anyone else to hafta go through that again 😪 . Glad ol Hank is gonna be alright 🙏❤🚜🇺🇲
Glad y’all are members of Farm Bureau
Glad to see Austin learning to tractor ropes 😊
So glad Hank the Tank is okay! I've been going back and watching your first videos again. Love seeing where you started and think that I need to start capturing our lives better whether video or photos. Keep it up! ❤👍
That is one thing on the farm. There is some traumatic things to deal with but so many wonderful things that outweigh them. Love your show Merideth.
Thanks so much for watching, David!
Glad the horses are ok now! Wow 😳
LB will have to get a six row corn planter to match that six row corn header. Might well go head and figure on widening the gates might think about a grain cart in next budget year keep that big machine rolling
Some of those gates look like 10 footers . Watching the tractor go thru them.
You all be safe during this storm that is coming near you!! I am praying for your safety.
I'm happy you have a newer combine.
Haven’t replied for a while. Always love your videos and wanted to thank you all for sharing your lives. I lighten up 💥 ever time you post! Love ❤️ you all from Harrison Ohio 😊
Thanks so much, Dennis! So glad you enjoy the videos.
To see that young lady deal whith. Huge horse. It dose my heart. Good!!
Sorry you had such a hard time with the horses. It looks like you were able to handle it well.Take care!
Meredith.
Lady you are one beautiful farm lady with a heart of Gold. Thank You for the walk along farming video's i.e. just like Ms. Sandi Brock with her sheep farming. Please Take of Yourself and your family. Be Careful around all farm equipment all of the time. 👍😁😎
The ladder can hit corn with a 6 row head. The good news is, they make a power ladder kit, very handy.
Sorry to hear the, boys, horses didn't get along. That happens sometimes, hopefully they can get acquainted over the stall wall and be more civil in the future. Glad to see G2 going under the shed. Hope LB and Wesley can get the brake to loosen up. Great to see Austin in the tractor. Maybe in the bigger field she can get in the driver's seat and get some hands-on experience. I agree with LB about Wesley needs to learn sometime. He already does quite a bit, but there is always more to learn. Stay safe and well.
Yesss... You probably need to look for a Saddle that fits properly...and a Saddle Pad that keeps the horse's back cool...Promotes more Air Flow... Also keeping your Tac clean will help.... Not saying you don't by any means 🤠...Soooo glad everything turned out as well as it did !!!! 🤠🙏❤️🐎
the 'saddle sores' on Wes' horse may have started out as the 'something uncomfortable' that caused the horse to lay down while the kids were riding however long ago that was.
Y'all are good people and definitely deserve it and God bless y'all and keep doing great work y'all rock ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸🥰
You remind me of my aunt . Though she is different than yall you share so much in common. I'm so happy you have Lawrence providing for you and vice versa big hugs thanks for sharing your life.
Intelligent, incredible fortitude, huge heart, merideth, you are a rock star
Passing the raking torch to Austin is awesome, if mom can give up Rita
Hey Meredith, I was always taught that you can't put a odd number of horses together. Never 3,5,7,9, and so on, Especially 3 Geldings.. 2,4,6,8, and so on you can put together. And the same goes for Mares too. I know you see Brood Mares all out in the same Pasture, If there raised together your good, But don't bring an outside Mare in to the fold. Yeah they might know each other over the fence, But I think Pete was showing his dominance and he Thinks he is the boss and that is how the Fight got started. Now my Grandfather taught that to me when I was at a young age and Now that I'm 63 and still have horses, I still practice that same lesson. Yeah LB might say Bull, lol... but it works for me and has for 40 + years.
Enjoyed your video, Thanks for sharing.
Here is a tip to put the combine in the barn. Pull the combine up to the barn and get it centered where you want it. Then hang a tennis ball on a string from a rafter so it is lined up with the steering column and fouches the windshield. Then when you pull in just line up with the ball with the steering wheel column ,then swing the ball out of the way and pull in.
Really enjoyed this one. I love seeing the young ones (not kids anymore) learning and growing. You and Lawrence are incredible people, and he reminds me of my dad teaching me. My dad is 85 now, so I don't know how much longer I'll have him and mom (86). Thank you for sharing. I'd love to meet y'all in person sometime! God bless and love to all from Ohio!
Austin is going to be a great farmer.
Can't wait to see that big girl in action, and will it get through the gates.
Hope the horse give better soon love the family.
I hope the horses heal quickly.
Thanks Will!
Wow the horses not getting along there. That will take time I hope for them to get along. Austin you love driving the tractor. What have both you kids out there. Your mama and daddy are so proud. God-bless you all and keep safe
just imagine trying to fit Marc's combine in that barn. Sandy would laugh herself silly lol
And that one is on the small side for new combines.
there will always be something.... keep calm and carry on....
All I can say is I’m praying for The Whole Benard family and friends that have come to help them get fixed what needed to be done and hopefully they will have a better harvest than years past with no break downs also for them horse’s to get better and the kids will remember how to do stuff if parents can’t. Amen 🙏
Girl you clean up well
I hope the horses get well soon. You guys need a indoor shop / machine storage building
When will you come to Lexington, Ky ? Its beautiful here ! You are really becoming a farmer instead of a model , We need a calendar of women farmers !!
i pray your horses get well soon
LADY IS MY FAVORITE DOG YOU GOT ON THE FARM!
While Austin can't ride she can be your side kick. She has the farmers/ranchers heart.
On those lighter hay fields if you rake on a 45 degree angle. You can see where you have been better and you will keep the side to side bale fill more even .
It’s Friday 🎉. Have an awesome weekend 🍁
Thanks Donna! Hope you have a great weekend too!
Can,y wait to see gerdy 2 at work
My friends seems like u have a lot going on 😊 glad the horses r doing okay.. been there I know the feeling.. keep up the good work 👍👋👋😊
Man at Gleaner is cool!!!!
It's come full circle. I remember when you were being taught to run machinery. Nothing like teaching your kids to take over for ya. You've come a long way since i started watching.

Busy Lady!!!! Good job handling everything!!!!!
I noticed a couple episodes back the kiddos had a lariat strapped to there saddles. Do they rope any. Does Lawrence know any rope tricks.
Congratulations on the new Girde.
Praise God that Hank is okay. God is Sovereign over everything Meredith.
Love everything y’all do and bring us into y’all’s life.
Hi Meredith, put some spray foam in those gate openings and holes
Couldn't help but notice the @BirdsEye pack. I grow peas for BirdsEye for freezing. Great company to be involved with over here in the UK..Another great video Meredith.
Every time I'd drive by a combine for sale, I'd think of you guys! Glad you finally upgraded!
