- Josh O'Connor sits down with Variety the morning after his Emmy-win to discuss why this may be his last 'The Crown' interview ever, what it was like winning without his cast mates in attendance, and who he bet on to win the Best Actor in a Drama Series award.

Josh O'Connor should forever be praised and never forgotten 🙌
If you love him but haven't yet, you MUST see him in last year's National Theatre film of Romeo & Juliet (w Jessie Buckley, PBS)! Beyond breathtaking & heartbreaking❤️💔 Not only massively brilliant but always humble & appreciative.
a well deserved Emmy! I loved all the other nominees but he was simply the best.
He's so brilliant. I've been following him since his work on God's Own Country (one of my favourite films) and to see him gain commercial success and still remain so kind and humble is phenomenal.
The best rising actor of the current lot out there. Everyone else is all hype or riding on their looks.
What's not to love about this charming beautiful man!
The boy from The Durrells!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
He was Fantastic in the Durrells
He's seems like such a sweet dude. Been a fan of him since 'god's own country' around 2017 and when he was cast in the crown I said damn his time for the awards is coming. So happy for him!
What a talented actor!
HE'S SO LOVELY!!!!!
He is the real deal. A tremendous talent. Bravo Josh!!!
Extremely well deserved Emmy.
Go see God’s Own Country. This man is exceptionally talented and an extraordinarily transformative actor.
Thought I'd cry less watching it a second time after saw him in Romeo& Juliet, but my heart still exploded.... probably bc I'm a mom of a no also exceptional young gay man, movie wrecked me! They were both beyond incredible!
@@joanneweiss3864 I've watched it just about a dozen times and it still moved me to tears. I think it touched a lot of people of all sexual orientations because it's essentially a story about the redemptive power of love and how it can transform an essentially broken person into someone who will try to be a more sensitive, more loving person and also open up to allow someone to love them. Johnny could have been a straight man, a straight or gay woman, a bisexual, a nonbinary, an asexual, etc and the plot would still work. At least that's how I see it. Also, thank you for being such an awesome mom who views gay love as any other love and is touched by it!
Still sad God’s Own Country didn’t get more recognition. Incredible film!
Such a great film, yes highly recommend
