    Best player on the Celtics. Ball should go through him more

    The tech he got was ridiculous, but to his credit he adjusted to it, and started playing much more physically, especially on offense, taking advantage of the refs tight whistle. Boston never has trouble playing when there are a lot of calls on both teams, they are good at adjusting defensively - but they can be stubborn when the shooting fouls are not showing up. Suns only have 3 players who weigh more than Brown, and I think Nurkic is the only guy who is definitely stronger, JB really put the shoulders into them for the whole game. Great effort, the few games have been tremendous for Jaylen.

    Love JB always have,man put up 41pts & 14 rebounds vs Denver and so called "Celtics fans" called him selfish player when in all reality if he doesn't have that monster game we lose by 20 vs Denver. Thankfully JB uses all thar b.s. as motivation to get better. Real Celtics fans know hes the man,only thing he needs to work on is free throws. Otherwise everything else there..

    this man is a juggernaut. he can hit you from the 3 he can hit you from the midrange and he can drive into the basket. he can also handle the ball and bully his way. this man has the whole damn package. this is legit generational talent right here yeah i said and i stand by that. those free throws lowkey make me sad too talented of a ball player to struggle with that aspect. however after learning from some person with good ass neurologist info said it must have something to do with his brain or mechanics so hopefully someone helps him with that bc hes too talented to miss free throws

      i agree i do think it’s mental tho when it comes to his free throws because there’s no way he’s lethal in the mid range area then struggles from the line. should be at least an 80% free throw shooter

    Last year was a down year for JB, especially in the playoffs. I wonder if it’s because of contract year and he’s got money in his mind when he was playing. This year, it seems that he has gotten back to who he is, or even better. Remember in that 2022 Finals, there were a few games where he played better than Jayson Tatum

    JB work on your freethrows man

    • @schuylersavage276
      @schuylersavage276 Před 3 měsíci +7

      He does work on them of course, I think he’s just got a certian type of brain, processing and nervous system that allows him to do difficult tasks exceptionally well in chaos, but also fail more simple tasks when things aren’t moving. I also think it ties in to what was said about him being too smart when he first got to the draft. I’m not saying you have to be dumb to make FTs! But I’m saying sometimes what accompanies the type of unique Intelligence they say JB has can be an extremely active brain that processes almost TOO fast. I think this is why he is really best at difficult almost insane shots like all of his hanging fadeaways. I think because there is so much happening in those moments. So many things his subconscious and conscious brain has to try and factor in, it doesn’t leave any room for over thinking. But when he’s at the FT line, I think it’s clear that it’s too simple. His brain runs too much. And it’s hard for him to just get to his muscle memory. I’m actually surprised he’s over 70 perfect cuz you’d think at times that he was like 55 percent or so. And on top of all of this it’s crazy that he’s a pretty dang good 3 point shooter, especially when he gets into his bag and gets a rhythm goin

      @@schuylersavage276Brilliant observations. I think you are spot on. The one thing I’d add is that this works on a spectrum. So, all players exhibit similar attributes, just to varying degrees. JB is though, on the farther end of the spectrum and explains why he also tends to have difficulty with basic ball handling for example. Seems to be built into his psyche.

      @@schuylersavage276 That's not too bad of a breakdown. I think the main issue is the fact that he uses a lot of his legs on his jump shots, but the fact that he was taught not to jump at the free-throw line is killing him. He doesn't have a high release compared to other players, he gets height on his jump shots from elevating off the ground. His free throws either hit the front of the rim or the back of the rim. If he creates more arc at the line they will drop in more consistently. It's hard to switch subtle motions like that tho.

    • @Mitch_Feral
      @Mitch_Feral Před 3 měsíci +2

      @@jmlclarke99 I keep hoping Pierce will reach out about it - he had a late in career stance change for his free throws, and he started putting his right foot slightly behind the stripe, like he was about to gather for a jumper. And when he shot, he actually had some forward movement built in. I think that was to mimic his catch and shoot three point form, which was impeccable. With Brown, I wonder if he doesnt need to build a bit of swaying back into his release, to start the arc of his free throws a little more favorably.

    brown needs to work on his FT and tatum is the only guy that can shoot 39% and averaging
    last 3 years tatum in crunch time
    2021-22 season 37.2% Ranks 37th out of 47
    2022-23 season 35.1% Ranks 50th out of 57
    2023-24 season 31.9% Ranks 28 out of 29
    this season: 5-21 fg (24%) game-tying or go-ahead fg in 4th quarter or OT
    and still gets mvp chants !
