That's like a schoolyard bully saying he wants to take on UFC fighters. Even if you get accepted into the UFC, you're just gonna get your teeth pushed in, so what's the point?

I feel like once you reach the next rank tiers of colors, you shouldn't be able to be demoted in the tiers below.
To compliment that, there should be a lot more seasonal resets to constantly readjust to and reconfirm a player's actual skill level.
(IMO I think Apex Legends has an interesting way of doing their ranked ladder, that's where I got some inspiration from.)
I'm fine with rematching much better players (even if they had their saves deleted or are just smurfing) or against a character I don't know much about and getting demoted like 3+ times.
But then having to grind back points so you could get to a point where you can learn something is counter intuitive, a chore, and really messes up the system.
It's not even a ranking system anymore, it's an RPG experience bar.
If you want to get good, this is weird that you're trying to grind for wins.
It's like killing 1000 zombies and thinking you're ready to kill a Boss Dragon.
That will never work. You need to figure out how the Boss Dragon operates, not the zombies.
That's why for a while we've been saying rank doesn't mater/is a joke.
If they did it right, it could have been another decent tool for us to properly get better from.
"I want to fight stronger opponents." Okay here is the main question you have to ask yourself can you consistently beat the people at your level. If yes then rank up normally. If not you don't need to be ranked up anyway. Idc if you know more about Tekken than the next player. If they can beat you when they think a 50/50 is a chance a move will reach or not then it is what it is. Lab, win, get beat repeat.
I don't agree with save scumming, but I'll bring up a slightly kind of similar topic.

Just because you get demoted doesnt me you are bad…and tbh, we do have spammers and such..but is that really an excuse for losing..lol…and we arent forced to rematch anyone…i only wish they would show the gamertag before accepting..i really dont give af about their location lmao…every fighting game shows gamertag..why is tekken being so difficult..you can look at tekken at many different angles..i try to be as positive as i can in the toxic world of tekken..

You can get matched up with stronger players without cheating. It's called "Quick Match"
It's hit and miss to be honest, just like ranked.
There's the Smurfs, then there's the players at the right rank, and lastly there's the 10 people you absolutely smoked so you could get back the ranks from the Smurf rematches.
Sometimes I feel like the Tekken Ranking System is an RPG experience. XD
@じん In quick match you get matched up with anyone. Also you will find good players that don't play ranked fearing they'll lose it to some weird Lili doing her stuff. You also find people who usually smurf or just play offline and have a Quick match for fun every now and then. Last but not least, you get constantly matched up with players one division higher which is exactly the level of stronger player you can learn something from. For example I'm purple and I get matched up with Blue-Emperor all the time.
I confirm. I play ONLY quick match. Got 500 wins and never played ranked at all. I have met everything, except the Highest (Tekken Omega or whatever it was).
Its cool to be able to play with people much higher then you, you learn a lot just from 3 rounds :)
@@goshu7009 true but that's not saying that quick match is without its flaws. People there usually look for a good game and will usually one n' done you if they deem you unworthy of their time be it because they find you too strong, too weak or too cheesy. I remember one day everyone one n' done me in quick match only to make me go ranked and play a really cool death match against a Fahkumram of all characters 😅
@@Goteiii Sure. It happened to me many times. I play with some guy who is high rank - he beat me easy - no rematch.
I personally always give rematch. Only to laggers - i dont.
Even to cheater, who i am 100% sure they cheat - i give rematch and try to beat them.
For me - the game is fun as it is, i dont care if i win or lose. Just having fun =)

It’s the main reason why I don’t play this game anymore since 2020. The fact that these cheaters can save scum for their precious ranks is dumb and the fact Murray and Namco won’t do anything about it is a slap and eff you in the face from them.

Actually no, it's just a low rank thing.
If you're not playing a grappler, sometimes even if you ARE playing a grappler, when you get tossed by a throw, we all go, "Oh right. Throws exists. Maybe I should use them."
Then we will immediately use it as our next attack or it will be 50% of the next moves we throw.

Reminds me of thing with low ranked StarCraft 2 with the Terran Race.
When it's a Terran mirror match and a player does a random map scan ability, about 90% of the time, the player who was scanned will also use their scan right back because they now remember that it exists and they might as well use it right then.
Throw spammers always piss me off and then I start responding with cheese tactics of my own. Characters like bryan I can just snake edge under their throws, but with Jin the only cheese you can give back is just throws of your own

Shiiiiiiitttttt Jin and Mishima players never cease to amaze me with their execution. Likeeeee rank doesn’t matter in some cases but uhhh. I’ve seen orange and red rank jins that have phenomenal execution… it’s literally a requirement to know that when you are playing Jin or the others. Like I don’t take rank seriously because of lagging and aggressive opponents that don’t study the frames. It was fun in the beginning but not now. I’m getting my desired rank then just doing labbing and Lobby sessions only..

Do to this fact I always keep my rank Lower than my skill level. I'm a causal player. For example my skill level is Yaksa - Empereur. But I keep my rank at Rulers because I'll stop playing for a while than come back. Because of this I don't play ranked battle that much.

1 Due to saving on the client side, all low ranks are full of experienced players. Literally ALL wounds. Newbies literally have to fight their way through the hordes of "trolls" who simply live in low ranks. There is simply no other option but to save. + altF4 users, +cheaters, +real connection problems.
2 Absolutely everyone uses savescum. In general, everyone. Season 4 had 2 or 3 months of disconnect issues. And where are all these crowds of "honest" players with poor connection statistics? Even you have it good.
Now Tekken has such a period that one can only rejoice that at least someone comes into the game. Because the vast majority of beginners, after a week of playing, simply delete it and forget it like a bad dream.
