One of my best moment was i had like 20+ ship protect a planet then i got invaded by a fleet of maybe 50-80 ship. I try hard to defend with ships blowing up left and right i was down to like a few ships left then my reinforcement finally arrive from half across the galaxy. I was like woooo hooo then start circle and surround the invaders. Still one of my most memorable moments in the game.
Dang. Those times were the best.
I found out too late that I couldn't zerg rush in this game. Imagine a fleet of about 50 cobalt light cruisers being raped by all manner of Vasari warships to this music. I cried a little.
I remember when this song was in every third CZcams video
pirate:"we got this, it's just 1 ship" *full fleet suddenly appears* Pirate:"sweet baby jesus, i just shit myself"

These space battles around by the constant mouse moving, should set your camera to a flag ship and let it track, sit back and watch the action. All the spinning around and moving basically just ruins it, can't tell whats going on.
Always a great moment, when the fleet arrives.
Damn, this video brings back the memories, one of my favorite RTS Game. Anyway, the background music in this case is very fits with the video.
My favourite thing to do in this game, when a colossal battle is unfolding, is too put cinematic mode on, and zoom in on a fighter or a piece of wreckage, watching from a different perspective

This game really is amazing. I'm an RTS fan but this is by far the greatest RTS i've ever played. Just my opinion, I think Supreme Commander (1) is spectacular but it has to be played on a really good PC to utilize its full potential. Sins ran on my old Dell ancient 2001 PC and that's impressive considering it was as fast as you could throw a cinder block. I got a new laptop, not even a gaming laptop, and it works beautifully. This game deserves a lot more attention than it gets.

this fleet coordinated jump were the more beatiful of the game. and the mega battle, the only thing that the IA was to lame, if i jump with 2 capital ship and they have none, i would flee, no mather if they have 20 battlecruiser, or the pirates, that where to OP, like this video, my most feared enemy was always the pirates.

i remember one of my early games, its was a custom map, 7 star systems, nearly 500 planets each, me against 9 insane AIs, after a monstrous battle that took a collective 40+hours(over a 3 month period if i remember correctly) i had captured my home system, and when i attempted to launch attacks to beat the rest, boy that was unbelievable, it was a stalemate for the rest of the play through,then the game updated and i couldn't play anymore, that was very sad
I love how all the ships just appeared in a wall of doom.

on this game you can change your start up credits, crystal and metal by just going to the game files.
Probably because the system is in a group blue gas clouds and it is quite realistic that stars usually located in whats left of the supernova just like our Sun except our Solar system is not covered by gas cloud.
i once had a bigger fleet, it was the religous guys, and that fleet was GIGANTIC, but i can't show you cause my computer that had the game on it stuffed up, their where multiple systems in it. this fleet was tiny compared to mine, my whole pop was just ships, it would take ages for my entire fleet to move, i was constantly building new ships to

This is the Sins of a Solar Empire equivalent... of a Zerg Rush.
and the most resources i had at once was about 2m credites, 3m metal, and about 3.5m crystal. thats is a massive amount. ive had over 300 ships in one fleet before you just gotta figure out what the best options for a fleet there are. Cobalt light frigates are one of the best choices due to when the upgrades of all the military ships are done they in numbers are a force to be reckoned with.

i know u soase fans are into MASSIVE battles, but if your also into small scale highly detailed fully 3d space battles then nexus: the Jupiter incident is the game for you, epic story line and amazing modding capabilities, and this game was 6 years ago, now they are attempting to launch nexus 2: the gods awaken on kickstarter so if ur interested then support em guys, cheers
It only shows avaliable slots (thus, zero when you have your fleet, and goes up as the battle goes downhill), if you need to know how many you have you haven't got enough. And they are capital ship-capacity and small ship capacity, not max fleet cap and fleet points, because capital ships are limited.

You should try 50 or so planets in one starsystem and 200 in another, then take over the first one, build up, and try to take on the second starsystem (medium bots or its no fun, 4 bots on two teams should make things interesting). But beware, you need some horseys in your computer to take advantage of the really epic scales on this game (I haven't reached any star, planet, asteroidbelt etc limit yet, and I've been at ten stars, 1000 planets, took a week to finnish that game XD ).

Things to make it tons more epic:
1: use volumetric effects and explosions mod
2: use cinematic mode
3: control+shift+Z
4: stop managing the abilities and let them auto-cast
Otherwise it's a decent vid. I've had more epic battles though

that's cool but i prefer to attack a mix of carriers and heavy cruisers and a few anti-structure frigates. The carriers act as the main striking force against star bases, structures, and small fleets. The heavy cruisers are good for screening against a larger force and the anti-struct. frigates are good for hit and run tactics.
Thats the way the game works. ships dies and you build more, points come back, and you use them again... -.-

@masterhidsert1043 how did you get that fleet? i see your max fleet cap is 0 and your fleet point is also at 0. however once your ships start to die your fleet points start to rise... Cheat engine or trainer?
