- Day 1 of the All-American Classic on Truman Lake in Missouri. After coming off a top 15 finish from last year, I was confident going into this event...until the lake rose 14 FEET in the matter of days!
Brother, I really enjoyed your video today I understand your frustrations and emotions out there they were real. You trusted the process getting your 5 bag kept it together and started getting the bigger ones. Damn, I want to try one of these fishing kayaks, but every video I watch. It looks like 50 lbs of crap stuffed in a half pound bag. They look like the Beverly hillbillies meets water world. It looks so crowded and uncomfortable on there, I can’t imagine.
I've seen videos here on youtube of guys dumping fishing kayaks in current and all their shit tumbles toward the Missouri River. Most of them seemingly have very little secondary buoyancy. Once it tips past the primary buoyancy it just goes over. Not great for paddling or any real current in a river. assuming you want to take your stuff home dry and intact.
Try it out, I bet you’d enjoy it if you like fishing and spending time on the water. You can go out there with 1 rod if you wanted to. When you get into tournaments, it can be a little more complex(obviously) just like the bass boats. This kayak doesn’t have as much storage as others, which is why I use a couple different accessories to help with that. It’s not uncomfortable at all and can easily spend 10 hours multiple days in a row on one.

Great job on a very tough fishing lake. I really enjoyed the last few minutes. 😂 Glad to see I’m not the only one with a love for wasps. I don’t even want to know what I look like on camera when those things start buzzing me. lol Thanks for sharing the ups and downs of your day. I was right there with you. Thanks man! It was a tough bite for almost everybody. Those last few minutes were miserable lol! Glad I can showcase what we all go through out there, some major, some not. Just good to show. I appreciate you taking the time to watch!
