Thanks for the info, I found a very slightly used one locally. Might grab it for my first field monitor. Cheers!
Best review yet...concise and to the point!
Thanks duder! Very much appreciated. Sharing really helps support the channel! 😁We have a bunch more stuff in the works for product reviews and tutorials and things for film making! Thanks for watching!
Nice review
Thanks duder!
*was the whole video recorded with the t5i?*
Amazing detailed video btw, loved that it’s straight to the point!
Hey duder, thanks a bunch! Check out and follow us on instagram as well and we'll follow you back! Yep, I believe so. Aside from the opening shot in the car which was probably on the iPhone 8Plus. All shot on Canon T5i. I am definitely going to be upgrading my camera soon. Though it's been fun to learn and it's really all about LIGHT! I've been using the same camera and even same lenses for the most part and it's pretty amazing what you can get when you use enough light. I finally agree with people when they say it's not ALL about the fancy gear. It's definitely a great camera to sort of get you learning manual settings and such. Thanks for watching! Stay in touch. -Andrew
Curious your experience. Just bought this monitor and work ok when shooting still but starts to flicker and lose signal when shooting video on a Sony a6000.
Definitely haven’t had that issue. I would first check the cable. Make sure it’s plugged in all the way and switch out cable if need be. If you’re still getting the flickering I’d exchange or return it! But definitely haven’t had any flickering issues! That stinks! Let us know what you find out!
@@friffyfilms194 Yeah I swapped out the cable and it still had an issue so I sent it back. Will look at a replacement. Thanks for the help!
Awesome review! I have a question for you, maybe you will be able to help me out. I just purchased this field monitor and I too have a Canon t5i, I am having difficulties displaying the camera's built-in monitor and the field monitor simultaneously. Is this even a possibility? If anyone can help me out it would be GREATLY appreciated
Are you talking about how it doesn’t display full screen? Unfortunately no. I don’t think so. I think in the T5i’s firmware that is just how it displays unfortunately.
Can you playback footage on the monitor after you shoot it ?
Yep! Can hear sounds out of speaker as well. Although speaker isn’t great, but it has a headphone jack!
Hi, Is possible to do audio monitoring with headphones? How Is the quality? Thanks!
Antonio Emmanuello Yes it has a headphone jack! The audio will sound as good as your headphones are! (Well and microphones) The internal speaker isn’t that loud, but with decent headphones it’s fine! Really depends on your headphones quality.
How long does it run on the 550 batteries?
Eh, like 45 mins ish? Maybe a little longer closer to an hour
Does anyone know how to switch from AV to HDMI? On the monitor
Darn, I thought I had responded to this. I’m sure you figured it out by now? It typically automatically switches if you take cable out and plug back in. Or you simply go into the settings and switch output modes.
Brad Whitford Hey did you figure that out?
Does it have false colors?
Yes at 3:30 I quickly go through them. At the time of shooting this video I wasn’t really sure what they were called, as I never really had a reason to use them. Looks like it goes through Red, Green, Blue, and then mono (or black and white)
What do you use the false color setting to check?
Bake oven knob!
Junk stopped working Menu doesn't work!
Aw damn. Mine is still going strong! I wonder why that is. Can you return it?
