Backstage Security... what were they thinking? Can any other turn one minion even compete with this? Maybe Deck Swabbie if you are looking to tier fast. Taking 1 damage knowing you will win or tie the first two turns 90% of the time seems too good.
Excited to give this balance patch a go, a lot of the weaker tribes look like they will be more viable now which is great. The trigore buff is surprising, that thing is honestly going to be a complete nightmare especially paired with the bird buff. Beasts def needed some love but this looks like it might have been too much, but we'll have to see.
Ahh! You are right thank you! I will update it. They update there website so poorly. Almost the ENTIRE last patch all the cards were from the previous patch with nothing having been updated. I try to keep my personal database updated, but sometimes these sneak through, and it drives me nuts. If you go look up Kurtrus the hero for example it STILL shows his previous hero power, and that was changed on 06/27/2023. I look at the cards all day long so sometimes my eyes just glaze over, and go yup that is the right minion.
When you consider other cards. Like Abomination a tier 5 needing a minion to die to get 1/1 and Trigore just needs a beast to be damaged. It doesn't even make sense

The only interact I can think of is rylak being able to consistently give your board reborn? The death rattle guy can do that but much slower, and usually with KT or the kill a guy get a copy

Correct me if I'm wrong, murky says "control" and not "for each friendly murloc" which is how they'd usually word it. I think the buff increased based on the amount of murlocs in hand aswell? that makes murky seem a bit more exciting to me
Hmm that could be a valid interpretation. I must be honest I have yet to use Murky, but I sense a for science moment coming up! I would think "control" referring to the number of active murlocs on my board, but it could be interpreted as in my hind as well. Time to run a test.

17:19 I mean it’s specifically not a targeting spell, and non targeting spells notoriously go off regardless if they “work”. It’s for each pirate you control, which means it should work if you control zero, since that’s still a number of pirates you control.
Love your videos, i would just like to say though, for the first time im watching this on mobile, you can read the old version just fine but its hard to see the new one, might be better to increase the size of the new ones, even if it means shrinking the old
Next patch I will expand the page more to make the card that is loaded from their site more readable.. The old card art I can resize at will. I always try to keep the page itself I am displaying a decent enough size to keep the text on the site itself visible when possible, but realistically nobody is reading the webpage.
I would call Quillboar far from unplayable. They are just balanced now. I STILL saw some crazy Quilboar boards last night. Less people trying to build them mean more Tier 6 Quilboar in the pool!
The "they either make cards unplayable or too strong" has never been so true. Wtf were they thinking with Trigore??? That is completely obliterating games on duos, probably on regular BG as well, I just haven't played it that much. I mean, it's good that beasts will be back into play, but that thing is just far too strong with how many taunts beasts can get.

Sadly this is what happens when games become ''competitive'' or develop esports. Just look at any game that was fun 5-10 years ago, they we're mostly fun because everything was broken but due to balance everything gets nerfed into oblivion and choice becomes an illusion.
Putricide is still very different compared to a lot of other hero powers. He still has far more variety of options, and I feel like he is underplayed due to most people just not realizing his potential at times.
We still have a dead tribe in the pool every time we have murlocs in the game. And it's not good, lol. Imagine a hypothetical scenario, that you have a hero power, that lets you, and only you, roll only murlocs, and occasional Brans. Your enemies will mop the floor with you before you reach t5. And you can start playing murlocs, like for real, only on t5. See the problem? You can START playing them on t5, game starts at t1, everyone starts playing at t1, and you with your Murlocs start on t5. Not only you need to be lucky af, you also need time to stabilise. They are dead. And each roll you have is spoiled with their useless bodies.
Murloc pivot can still be quite viable in certain circumstances. You shouldn't be locking into any tribe on T1-T3 anyway, you can lean on a certain tribe but you shouldn't be committing fully until T4-T5.
Murlocs still have an okay scam build, mostly for dous, but there's a bit of wonkiness between battlecry murlocs and handbuff murlocs that is only really bridged by primalfin
I think it is all peaks, and valleys. Tribes go up in the power scale, and they go down. Every tribe has been the undisputed ruler of a meta at sometime. Murlocs tend to be very decisive when they are strong because they tend to be NUTTY strong with Stats/poison/venom/and at one point Windfurry/Divine Shield/Resettable divine shields!! Wait.. one day they will be back, and on that day... we will all miss these days.
As of last night I was under the impression someone forgot to put them back in. Someone forgot to click a box. They will probably hot fix it very soon.
In all honesty, I don't think this balance patch did what it needed to. I still foresee dragons being very overpowered, as well as bests. Beasts now seem like they will be really broken, just like dragons. Everything else is just going to be pathetic compared to them. Maybe quilboar will still be good, but that's about it.

I feel like they're intentionally avoiding printing that type of a card. It lets the start of turn effects be stronger as a baseline.

Oof! I had not even though about Reno. At Tier 4 if you have any beasts this is S Tier + with Reno!

The 4/5 demon change nerfed another demon. The tier 2 that negates out of combat damage and gains hp

It’s harder to play and know how to play but yeah, your mmr is probably too low. They get more common around 7k from my experience.
Its very common to see people running two. They scale so fast with the fact they buff themselves.

It just always steals 1 less card than before, I don’t think it does anything different with Peggy other than triggering it one less time
So now beasts are tier 1. Seems like a disproportionate buff tbh.
