- Was at Shelleys on this night on my Birthday and got talking to a guy the Toilets, turned out to be Mickey Lynas the late Amnesia promoter (R.I.P) . He said he would send me the video once it was made and he did! (I didn't think he really would)
I thought it was long lost but turned up the other week so decided to rip it :) I'm on it in a few places but there's usually someone dancing in the way.

Even in the early 2000's, I was out with mates dancing like this, no smart phones. More trance, bouncy house, happy hardcore then, but still a similar vibe! I remember going to the 'infamous' Wigan Pier night club quite a lot before it closed down.

The closer you get to a rave the more service stations started running out of chewing gum

I used to go here from around 1990 to 1994 or so. Only lived on Newstead, so we used to walk back home buzzing and ears ringing just in time to meet the milk man for a pint of orange in a glass bottle. I wonder what happened to Ziggi? Crazy guy. Lol
It don’t matter if you lived in the UK or Australia like me, so many peeps considered this the golden age of Raves. I didn’t start going to raves until 1995 and all I heard from the old schoolers was “ You should have been here in 91/92, this is lame, I’m done, I’m going to house nights from now on 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wonder if 'Britain's Naughtiest Boy' (seen at 29 minutes) now has an allotment and works in Halfords... such great times, thanks so much for sharing :)

I agree with most of what you say This was our only trip down to Shelleys and wish we had made the effort a year or so before to have seen Sasha in his prime . Even though we didnt appreciate the camera at the time its good now to see some footage 😁
@@deviousmeuk yeah that's a good point. I'm just having flashbacks to when I was at Kaos in Leeds and I turned round and headbutted a massive camera by mistake and cut my eye open.... didn't spoil the night though 🤣

@@deviousmeuk I went to that SOAK aswell. I enjoyed SOAK but thought KAOS was a better event, had so many good times at them. Was gutted when KAOS ended but now I look back and realise that it changed to SOAK at the right time. I'm so glad we were there to enjoy it all. I don't think I'll ever experience anything like those times ever again.

i was 10 years old at the time. Im glad this video exists as I didnt experience raves until I was 18/19. I had a great time but this looks even better even though the 80's and early 90's weren't an easy time for the average person These days everyone seems to be miserable and angry.

@@LondonSoundSystem I'm not sure mate. But from what I've heard over the years, is that a particular component of the MDMA compound eventually became obsolete and was replaced with something else. Resulting in lesser purity. The MDMA post 97 has for the most part been very "smacky". If only someone could re create the pills from the 90's. I bet people would pay triple or more.
