âCooking when pissedâ and âLetâs .... the Shit Out Of This...â are two of Edâs best running gags.
"I want to see you sh*t in this bin" đđđ
I came here for that
Ed Byrne always has at least one solid gold gag in each episode.
Yes, he deserves his spot, but he still sometimes gives of the âHi, Iâm Daraâs charity caseâ vibe...
@@automatedwoodworker Well, he shouldn't. He's definitely in what I consider a perfect line-up.
"I want to see you shit in this bin" should have been enough to keep mock the week on air for at least 20 years longer
That had me wheezing đ, his delivery is amazing đ
I don't get why this is supposed to be funny.
His Paris joke at 10:50 is also excellent
I think weâd all watch âCooking When Pissed with Ed Byrneâ.
And of course my favourite show on television, "I'll Sell these Antiques if it Fuckin Kills Me"
Of course it didn't star Ed Byrne, but does anyone else remember "Get Stuffed"?
don't forget decorating the shit out of a house
8:08
He's only gone and described the late Keith Floyd...
Still love the co-joined Elevator Company jokes.
I like the co joke between hugh and angela in episode 11 of series 19
Those are on another level
Ed's "random things with stuff" joke lives rent free in my head
Same. Along with "Russel Crowe is punching people randomly in The Face" "My Dad Pictures presents Your Man, he was in that thing..."
"They're getting away what do we do Patient Man?!!"
"We wait" *heroic pose
Nobody makes Dara laugh like Ed Byrne, you can tell they are IRL mates.
Probably because they're both nerds.
I think Ed was best man at Dara's wedding
@@petermortimer6303 I think they once said on the show that they were each best man at the other's wedding.
@@EightThreeEight And Irish.
@@aemelnick it was the part where no one else was letting Ed get on the mic. And when he was finally able to, Dara was going to move to the next topic.
âEd, Ed, Iâm sorry.â
âFuck you. Best Man at his wedding, so I was.â
It lives in my head rent free
2:36 And to think, if Hugh hadn't done the gentlemanly thing, we might not have had this tremendous moment.
If there were a romantic novel that had that line, it'd be the first one I will ever read.
@@j.vanderknaap9446 "that does fulfill the criteria"đ
This man is better than Frankie Boyle. Fight me.
Ed Byrne and Frankie Boyle's styles of comedy have basically nothing in common. Why even compare them?
Absolutely right.
I completely agree, I dislike a lot of Frankieâs jokes.
@@StarPichu12 Frankie is probs in my top 10 favourite comedians but the fanboys piss me off too, especially when they moan about him being "pushed out" by the "BBC's lefty agenda" when literally the opposite happened, or when they complain about more women being on the show despite both Frankie and Andy saying they wanted to be replaced by a woman when they left
100% agree
"Random Things with Stuff" ranks up there as one of my favorite things Ed has ever said on this show!!
Ed Byrne is so underrated
Ed Byrne is my favorite comedian on MTW
Favourite comedian of all time over here
@@spencerblake5713 Amen to that!
âI want to see you shit in this binâ is like a Sean Lock level joke but to really feel it land you need all the other previous jokes and puns because it so comes out of left field.
That's why it's so funny.
18:40 the delivery makes this hilarious.
The best part of Ed, consistency
...not to mention originality
"I want you to shit into this bin".
Game over.
I met Ed about 8 years ago in Edinburgh during the festival. I worked in security at the time and my friend and I were walking to our next shift when I saw him at York Place.
I told him that I love his work and was glad to meet him, he was so humble. I tried to explain to my friend that he was a famous comedian over here (he is Polish and not a stand up comedy fan so had no clue lol) and Ed said "I'm hardly famous" I told him that my friend is just a philistine. đ
Ed's truly one of my faves, glad the adage about never meeting your heroes was wrong in his case. đđŽó §ó ąó łó Łó Žó żđźđȘđ§Ą
That story rings true for me with a lot of comedians, it must be said. I work in Edinburgh and have met quite a few of what I would call 'famous' comedians - and they've rarely been anything other than friendly, humble and grateful for the recognition. I think it must be something about making people laugh that keeps your ego in check compared to other performers.
I love Ed Byrne. Dangerous combo being both damn gorgeous and hilarious. Would love to have a conversation with him where we just throw jokes at each other. Imagine all these guys played cards against humanity. Would be the best.
Now that would be a great tv show!
I properly lost it at his Paris joke đđ
My favourite has to be his "WHAT WAS THAT?!" in reaction to the buzzer during his Amsterdam joke lmaoooo.
Ed's delivery is just impeccable!!!
23:30 is my favorite joke on MtW of all time!
I'd watch a fitness program called "feel the Byrne".
8:07 Cooking while pissed.
a very underrated comedian I think he is amazing
Lalaland, POland. Genius
Never seen Romesh laugh so hard... đđđ
I love him, found him with his alanis morrisette bit
I love how he just runs to the back to highlight the unlikely
Well 2:40 is my favorit. Totally out of the blue. âș
it's the silence that suddenly drops in that makes it. caught me off guard too
The time travel exam question is one of my favorites. Simple genius.
Ed really doesn't get enough credit, I want you to shit in this bin đđ
Ed Byrne is a genius!
Cooking when pissed should be an actual show!
The coffee shops of Amsterdam! Ahhhhh, ................ Buzz, WHAT WAS THAT đ
Ed Byrne looks like the perfect riddler đ€Ł
I'm from America. We took foreign in High School!
Adam Sloan really???
Absolute genius very very funny - always a joy to watch
Ed Byrne is such a cutie pie
Always makes me laugh, love Ed Byrne!
Priceless, Ed, everytime!
âComing this summer - âRandom Things⊠with Stuffâ
I'd watch that.
Cooking while pissed !!!
I would watch the whole series if he made it đ€Łđđ
Absolutely hilarious!!đ€Łđđ
Took me a while but i think Ed is top notch
Ed's recipes sound better than Gordon Ramsey's
He basically came in and saved the show a lot
Two things:
1. Did the show ever need saving?
2. Ed didn't "come in"; he's been doing this show since Series 3.
Excellent job Ed!!! Loving u!!!
Wall to wall fanny.
The coffee shops of Amsterdam, Ahhhhh
Buzz
WHAT WAS THAT đđ
Um... Ed's "Cooking While Pissed" idea is brilliant. I suggested trying 'deep fried soup' in another MTW video's Comment section, but I'd like to cover my luscious Limey arse by issuing the following safety warning:
Do not under any circumstances pour soup or water into a chip-pan full of boiling fat. The water/soup will EXPLODE, covering you in blazing oil and setting fire to your kitchen.
So go round to your mate's house and get him to deep fry some soup while you watch the telly.
Remember to shut the kitchen door.
COOKING
WHILE
PISSED!
Great upload
I would totally watch âRandom things with stuffâ.
Genius
Probably still one of my faves. "I Thor!.. I thor a puddytat"
6:50 and 10:50 are 2 of the funniest things I will ever fucking see on television
23:09 though đ
The part when he points out the âUnlikelyâ part of the topic after he says that joke makes it even better
at 13:39 I thought, ' if his wife let him leave the house wearing that, she must be really pissed off with him ".
Ed Byrne is so hot lmao
right !!!
Ed Byrne is like if vector from dispicable me became a comedian
As this video went on I realized the reason Ed Byrne kept his hair long for so many years. Now the world knows that about 49 years ago then actor Nigel Havers was very precocious indeed. đ
Thank you. Ed is second only to Frankie on MTW. I can't bare to watch the show now because I can't stand any of the others so a compilation of Ed is pure gold
Recently saw a comical and insightful interview with Ed Bryne discussing his career highlights. You guys should check it out here: czcams.com/video/EfFEiaMY31s/video.html
Dara fiddles while Ed Byrnes
"You can do this, just barricade the doors and windows, don't answer any questions, and in four weeks, you'll be Prime Minister."
Funny at the time, but it could have been true now.
And now...
Those are great. I'd actually written the same LibDem conference conference joke myself years ago.
YES
I so want to watch Random Things With Stuff
can someone explain the Sod's Law exchange between the Eds?
Sod's Law in the UK means if something can go wrong it probably will. Sod is another term which is sometimes used to mean turf, so Ed Byrne's joke was a play on words, so too was Ed Gamble's garden joke. But Ed G got a bigger laugh. Which Ed B pretended to be offended by. So Ed G repeated Ed B's joke for a bigger laugh to make it look like he was a more popular comedian than Ed B. 2 well liked comedians just having a bit of banter.
@@architectofechoes4 what a comprehensive, sincerely helpful explanation :D thanks echoes!
@@kell1reilly2 No problem.
@@architectofechoes4 So is Sods law the same as murphys law?
@@Smiley5z Good question, yes it is but I had to Google it.
I genuibely would watch cantina band a star wars story it could be like a movie version of glee but aliens
Did I say that last bit out loud
I think he stole âCooking while Pissedâ from nigella lawson
Ed Byrne: Coffee - Really s#it cocaine. :))))))
Can anyone explain the Scottish widow joke, I don't get it? Lol!!
I like him
What was this joke? 11:12 and why was it so funny to the audience and the cast?
Coffee shops are/ were cafés that sold marijuana in Amsterdam.
What does he say at 6:57?
Dara O'Brien's Go 8-bit. It's a tv show hosted by Dara
He has an excellent point about Storage Wars on the history channel. Damn annoying
Budweieser or any of other American brand for when you sought of fancy a beer
Edit ... Sort.
(Not "sought") ... You're welcome.
Very Sorry Landie and the next two Ed Byrne's witticisms?
He looked so weird with short hair!
Farming Simulator
Who is the black woman in the red at 19:00?
She's from here czcams.com/video/Us06D8J2MiA/video.html
I think her name's Sophie
Iâm in the US. What does âDara goes âeight-bitâ mean?
It was a game show here that Dara did where the contestants go against each other in video games.
The first time I heard the "Go 8-bit" line I had a mouthful of Bourbon & Coke...it wasn't pretty. There's nothing quite like laughing and choking and thinking you might just die this time.
Shit in a bin
Who's that at 6:01 jeez
That is the very beautiful (and funny) Ellie Taylor. She appeared on MTW quite a few times.
The amsterdam coffee shop bit. Where is it?
Found it. 11:11
In the Netherlands.
He cracks Darar (sp? Fuck knows. Stupid name) more consistently up that anyone else.
Stupid name, eh ?
Said El-Kwako ...
Dara, you pepega
Or daragh
Dara Ă Briain
7:45 -- I generally like Ed but, the "Lala-Land" joke? It would have been cleverer for him to say it was a prequel named "Tra-Land"
It was a joke about the teletubbies. "Tra" is not a teletubby. Tinky-Winky, Dipsy, Laa Laa and Po are the names of the teletubbies, and Poland happens to be the name of a real country, making it a double joke. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teletubbies
@@briansammond7801 My mind-brain is pretty much TELETUBBIES free, so I had assumed he was just referencing Poland as his quote-unquote punchline. The suggestion I made was in reference to "tra-la-la" -- (noun) a set of nonsensical syllables used while humming a refrain.
I don't get it, in one of eds stand up shows he says he doesn't like jokes about fat people, yet in Mock the Week he makes multiple fat gags himself and laughs at other peoples, makes no sense what so ever
Maybe he changed his mind?
