What can you say about a superlative perfomance? The speed! The handling! The pin-point passing! The defence! The backing-up! The Wallaroos tried their damndest, but there was no stopping the Black Ferns! WONDERFUL!!
A boys team would thrash them women.
I would say that the Wallaroos put on a fantastic exhibition of bad tackling.
Impeding on the line too fast.
Creating holes in their defenses and Not supporting their forwards.
Hopefully they will look back and work on these little things in the near future. Condolences for their loss. More than what I give to their male counterparts
@Robin-tp5pr 100% agree. The highlight reel doesn't show the amount of handling errors from the BFs. I was a bit disappointed that they weren't more accurate in that area. I also think that both half backs need to work on their servicing from the ruck. Passes from the ruck were either slow, too high, or fast and missed their target completely. Particularly in the 2nd half. France and England will punish the ferns severely if they can't get their pass catch game on point.
@@Shirleybirl13 I didn't see the whole game. The highlight video here is terrific, but it sounds like there are gaping holes in the Black Ferns play outside of this video!

So true. One of the Wallaroo front rowers, every tackle she made she would make no effort to roll at all and just lay on the ground with outstretched arms as if to show the ref she was trying to roll. Um... no. But she didn't get pinged for it, not even once - so fair play to her I guess.

*I can't for the life of me fathom what Rosie Kelly brings to the Black Ferns!!! She lacks the distribution vision and decision making, has poor defence, poor offence, and is not potent enough to threaten oppositions with her runs. Iritana Hohaia has consistently demonstrated inconsistencies in her performance with poor and slow ball distribution that costed valuable hard fought possessions and opportunities to secure tries. Glaringly, the absence of her half backing in one of the breakdowns within the 22m line costed the whole team. She needs more exposure outside of the Black Ferns for these skills to develop to the standard of a national team like that of the Black Ferns. New debutants Viliko and Sae showed excellent skills. However, Santos Taumata's toughness was missed badly, although Krystal Murray, Liana Mikaele-Tu'u and Co-Captain Kennedy Simon held that fort with flying colours, aided by the returned veteran Charmaine Smith and the ever agile Maia. Considering her size, Simon was just simply, AWESOME!!!! While Vahakolo scored two tries, personally I have no confidence in her isolated ability with a high ball when it comes to teams of note, like that of England and France. Being part of the back three, she should build up on her coordination ability with Renee Holmes and Mererangi Paul in the last line of defence. I am glad of the formidable staunchness of the midfielders, Brunt and DuPlessis!!! Their punching power runs and defence busting as well as their defence, are incomparable over time!!! Get these two to the combination level of Maa Nonu and Conrad Smith, and the backbone of the blackline would be deadly to oppositions.*
@@DarkMoonWayfarer I agree, Marino-Tauhinu and Bayler are solid for the inside flyhalf, particularly the latter age-wise!!! Hazel Tubic's showed her woeful skills in the final of the World Cup last year, and within a very short time she came in after Fluhler, became a liability to the team with her aimless weak positional kicks!!! She needs to either improve her positional kicking or trust her team mates to do the hard yards of running the ball and recycling from breakdown phases. Frankly, I was not impressed with her performance in the World Cup at all! The Wingers are fine with the depths we have!!! I'm confident with Mererangi Paul in that position, and now Martha Mataele has come through. And we have Kelsey Teneti and Tenika Willison as well as the awesome break through youngsters like Angelica Mekemeke-Vahai, etc.... The Taranaki Winger Louise Blyde was another budding strong winger, so the depth in the outside backs is pretty good!!!
@@DarkMoonWayfarer You're right about Pip Love being sorely missed, but the depth of loosehead props is pretty competitive presently. The same goes with Joanah Ngan Woon. I haven't heard why she was not selected this time around. The old timers seemed to have been filtering back in, it seems. While they're in good form, the old culture of class should be left outside the door on their way back in, I reckon. Smith was good fitting into the new vibrant environment. Blackwell is again showing great performance and still have the potential to get back into the Black Ferns. BUT, that culture of class rankings MUST not ever be revived inside the team again if they are to progress further into a global formidable team.

That's a bit rough. What you have to understand is that the Black Ferns are full time contracted rugby players. The Wallaroos aren't. They have day jobs. They are a talented side and I have no doubt that if Rugby Australia chucked some resources at the Wallaroos to support the team to be a professional side, that they would be much stronger.

That's becuase the ladies can't kick all that skillfully. Mind you that womens grubber kick leading to the third try, was well placed and well timed, if a little odd looking.
The All Blacks kicking game is woeful. That game against France in pool play of the current RWC, where they got sucked into a kicking dual, absolutely shone a light on how poor their kicking game is. The ABs are MUCH better at running rugby.
The black ferns are just do dominant. Yes England are big but slow and the French are the same. The black ferns are slightly smaller across the park but much faster and they are smarter. They will be world champions for a while.
You should watch some rugby, England had the lighter pack in all 6 six 2021 world cup games they played, including against New Zealand. And so slow that they have the fastest recycle rate of any international team consistently averaging under 3 seconds a ruck.
england has big girls for their mauls...French the same but more lighter than england...the blk ferns size is so they can run with the ball all the time

For context, the first choice props both played centre up to U20's, the hooker plays stand off for the armed forces, and all the 2nd rows play 6 and 8 at club level.
