Excellent interview as always. I did not know Wendy got her Master's from Temple's Department of Africology and African American Studies (then it was called the African American Studies Department). I've been teaching Hip-Hop and Black Culture in that department since 2011.

Cash Money’s deal was pretty much the same as No Limit’s
They didn’t own everything. They had the masters and half of the publishing while No Limit had an 85/15 pressing and distribution deal (later became 80/20 cause P sold 5% of the company for $250k) and they owned everything from the masters, publishing, & royalties.
She used the word people of color when she meant black, those terms are not interchangeable.
This is what we used to call Blue eyes soul sister back in the day somebody that could mean go and deal within the community her brothers and sisters and be accepted and respected because they done the same

I'm sorry but there are so many inconsistences with her statements.
1. She claims she can't remember Master P's deal from 95' with Priority BUT remembers all the details of the liquor company she ran 5 years prior.
2. If she was such a great business woman why couldn't she flip 500k! When others become successful EVERYONE wants to say "I'm the reason"...
3. "Priority didn't believe in wrap" ??? This statement is sooo asinine, Priority literally signed Ruthless Records in 1987, Rap-a-lot in 1987, and Lynch Mob in 1991 to a distribution deal. They were DEEP in Hip Hop/Rap.
