that ad in the middle was awesome :D
it was horrible!
Damn, I'm impressed. Extremely professional on every level. Great vibe, great content, killing it.
Great information. Very good and knowledgeable host. Thank you!
This was so good...
thanks, excellent practical example
RC, sorry for this stupid question. I am a volunteer amateur photographer for highschool events. How do you attach the flash bracket to a monopod? I have a canon 7d, a regular flash and a bracket. I know how to put all together on the flash bracket, what I need to learn is how to attach the flash bracket to the monopod. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the wonderful demo....... If you have covered Monopod heads also ....it could have been much better .......... Is Manfretto 498RC4 Ballhead a good option for Tamron 150-600mm lens ??? Mainly for BIRD PHOTOGRAPHY ???
Well, I'm confused. Wasn't this shown back in March?
WHAT IS THE NAME U USED FOR CANNON 400MM LENSE PLEASE....
Where can I get that Stud for the Monopod?
Which Gitzo monopod is that??
You could do standup comedy / photography
Do any of these double up as a taser in case someone tries to snatch my expensive gear from me?!!
Nope, but you can use it as a javelin or a club. I prefer the latter.
LOL nice face smack RC
... right?
If you can’t grow a mustache…don’t!
A bit of a bumbler.

To be honest: Monopod will basically help you help you with the weight. It is not for stabilization at all
Do your homework man.
You have to be a sucker to buy a 400mm Canon lense. If that is the 2.8 for $10.000 When you can buy a Panasonic FZ2500 for $1.000 that does the exact same thing with all the fstops. Same with Sony. I mean you would have to buy a whole different 400mm lense just to change to a 5.6 I think a lot of you photographers have an ego that if it doesn't say Canon or Apple I am not as good as the other people. I have been shooting for years for television stations, and for the Army. And now shoot freelance as a news stringer and event shooter. And not once have I ever wanted to own a canon nor did any television network because of the price. My personal decision was made when the Army had a contract with Canon Camera in 2004 and used them at the worlds largest training center. The NTC in Fort Irwin, CA. Our camera team were called vultures. Because we would film soldiers training on the ground from above in helicopters and at ground level. We would sneak up on them in humvees wearing night vision at about 2am. We hid everywhere up in ridges so the soldiers could not see us. The goal was to present an after action review (AAR) that helps point out mistakes soldiers make on the battlefield in real-time to their Commanding Officers. The Canon contract was cancelled after the first year in 2005 because they had digitization and dust seal issues. Footage was scrapped often and parts seemed to always be on order. Canon failed the Armys everyday proving ground as it's called.. Although some canon cameras are still floating around but very few mainly for stock photos. Video is done using Sony and Panasonic cameras. I am sure Canon wouldn't want people to know this story. . My motto is you can do better things with your photography money if you get off the Canon slave train.
I think most photographers that get paid well have to look the part too. Most expensive lenses purchased (from the store I'm at anyway) are wedding photographers and 'world travelers'. Some get re-imbursed others have used the lens before (rented etc). The tools matter but the photograher is the one calling the shots.. haha; the real eye.
You don't know what you are talking about- you said- " I mean you would have to buy a whole different 400mm lense just to change to a 5.6" WTF so stupid. I am quoting you because I know you are the type that will edit your post and claim you didn't say it. 2.8 is the max aperture but it will go much smaller usually to F/22. So you claiming you'd need another lens for 5.6 is untrue and it shows that you should stick to using a cellphone. You claim all this experience but don't know photography 101? To be clear there is no such thing as a modern Canon 400mm 2.8 lens that is only 2.8 F-stop and no other F stops- got it?
Yet you come on here and bash canon users and your jealousy makes you look petty. A $1,000 lens will never match- all things being equal- a pro level fixed lens. Even Sony's G class master lenses will not get you there. Sony makes a great product but you bashing those folks that use Canon (I use Nikon) people who work hard and make a living with photography don't deserve to have some numbnutz who doesn't even know basic photography claim they are stupid.
The photographer is what makes the shot- creativity, composition, etc etc but as I said, you take a great photographer and hand him the 400mm 2.8 fixed with pro glass and mechanics and they'll have sharper crisper photos. Lenses aren't just an accessory and this is also where you show us you don't know even basic photography you don't even understand it enough to know it is about how the glass treats the light, how it reduces distortion and provides a sharp photo.
And no one cares about your feeble ass sneaking up on troops stories in your REMF job. Seriously no one cares. Especially as someone who was a Marine in a high op tempo unit your training grabass is irrelevant.
Educate yourself- because you bashing people for their gear choices is just childish. What a douche..
Hilarious! After 2:45 I had to stop watching...Unbearable!
Then you missed the best part! 4:17
