    BTW, just noticed your channel name! I am also a Tesla owner. 2021 Model 3 LR but I just hit a deer with it a few weeks ago. Repairs are at least 5-6 months out right now which is why I bought the Volvo. Clearly you are a man with an impeccable taste in vehicles 😀

    Nice video. I got the same car in June 2020. S60 T6 Momentum. So far so good. I also installed a dash a cam and it’s getting the power from rear cigarette lighter. But something is wrong with the lighter. Power goes on and off. Front lighter doesn’t have that problem. I’ll show it to dealer.

    Thanks for the reply, what I want to do is to disable the lane departure function so, like the stop/start mode I do not have to switch it off every time I start the car.
    I dont suppose it makes any difference but the car is a V60 D4R

    • @mctesla3304
      @mctesla3304  Před 2 lety +1

      It probably does make a difference. Once mine is turned off, each time I start the car on it stays off until I turn it back on. I’ll bet every car is different. Good luck

      Great question. I haven’t had that car for over a year but as I remember, I was able to change a few colors but not remembering which color options were available. Sorry about that not being able to fully respond with accurate information.

      I appreciate your really fast reply... i have tested today an S60 with futuristic minimal style there two half circle chaped meter, and it looks not so good for me... might not take the car :) on this link i show you what i mean, your red circle meters are pretty nice and little conventional. czcams.com/video/0LrBRaaokPU/video.html

    4 days into xc60 ownership, wish I had your video on day 1. I am coming from a superb Mercedes’ based system and find the sensus and steering buttons poor by comparison. I would like the display in the instrument cluster on all the time but mine isn’t. The right hand side buttons do not allow me to navigate apple car play which is so frustrating, i ha e to use the big screen.

  • @vaughanmiles8699

    interesting video and I have now disabled the stop start but how do you disable the lane departure ???

    • @mctesla3304
      @mctesla3304  Před 2 lety

      This should be a little bit easier. It should be right on the main control screen “vehicle functions” (swipe the main screen to one side). It’s called LANE KEEPING AID. Touch the icon till the green bar turns off next to the icon. Now it’s Off. Let me know if this worked for you.

      Wow! That’s a beautiful car. I’m one of those guys that plays around with all the buttons and figure things out. I’m not sure how the 2023 is set up. I would think you can go in through the settings to find that fix. Sorry I couldn’t help.

      To change the settings for Road Sign Information:
      Tap the tab on the upper edge of the display (you will see Settings or Owner's Manual)
      Select Settings
      Select My Car
      Select Intellisafe
      Select Road Sign Information
      You can now change the settings for:
      Activating/Deactivating RSI
      The button is green when the feature is active
      It is grayed out when it has been deactivated

    • @mctesla3304
      @mctesla3304  Před 4 lety

      Samuel Shewbart so the car prefers premium but my fleet provider says not to. It runs awesome on 87 octane. 92 would likely be better if I was allowed to use it with my fleet provider. They pay the bills so I follow what they say. lol. They said that they spoke with Volvo and it’s safe to use 85 octane. No knocking or other ill effects. So I’m using 87.

      McTesla3 thanks so much that’s great to know! A lot of luxury cars have been knocked off my shopping list because I don’t want to spend the extra money on premium. I’m glad you don’t have to in the Volvo!
