  • This video covers the oil change procedure on a 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo.
    Torque:
Engine Oil Drain Plug - 21ft lbs
Oil filter housing - 19ft lbs
Engine oil: Panamera Turbo, Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Porsche C40, alternatively: VW 511 00 SAE 0W-40 (For all temperature ranges)
    SAE 5W-40 (For the temperature range above -13 °F / -25 °C.)
Too much or too little engine oil will damage the
engine. Too much engine oil can result in blue smoke
formation and cause damage to the emission control
    system in the long term.
e Do not allow the oil level to drop below the minimum
    mark.
e Only add engine oil to the maximum mark. In the
event of overfilling, correct this at the earliest
opportunity. Visit an authorized Porsche dealer.
    Porsche recommends an authorized Porsche
dealer, as they have trained technicians and the
    necessary parts and tools.
Make sure to note the following points:
    - Use only engine oils approved by Porsche. Observe
    the service intervals.
    - Oils approved by Porsche can be mixed.
    - Do not use oil additives.
    - If you suspect an engine leak, have the engine
    checked immediately.Visit an authorized Porsche
dealer. Porsche recommends an authorized Porsche

it takes 2, the tech and the boss. I work on cars like this guy, but always gets yelled at by my boss because using a torque wrench on a drain plug is a waste of time, I still make good time, but I could always be faster according to my boss. Also, all the "old timers" in the shop will make fun of me, not that I care, but it's annoying hearing the same smart ass remarks over and over. This seems like a good place to work, that doesn't get you in trouble for doing proper work.

I've watched every single video and thanks to you I feel like you given me and idea around the work that is done as a Tech. And just the care you put in those cars man is awesome, Replacing valve steams? Greasing squeaky door knobs? Checking Tires for nail as courtesy, i'm sorry I find that amazing because they don't do that at dodge...chevy..Ford...Maybe BMW, Audi and Mercedes? But it's not common to see a Tech go above and beyond like that lol. Just watching you has given me so many tips that will make me a much more efficient and smooth technician.     Very useful video. I was pleased to learn;
    1) Approved oils can be mixed. I'm one quart short of a change on my 2015 Panamera S e-Hybrid and it's 5 days (Amazon) to get another quart of Mobile 1 ESP or I can drive over to NAPA and get a quart of Liqui Moly 4200. No one sells ESP in Honolulu.
    2) The oil filter housing will drain into the oil pan, not down a drain tube or all over the engine block and components, onto the floor randomly.
