I wish society would go back to this style. It's hard seeing grandparents fend for themselves.
I live in a multigenerational home and it's nice for the most part. We all have our lil cubbyholes to spend time alone in, but we still get to come together a lot. We do need to make an effort to eat at the table together though, we all go off our different ways...

Wow! that nursery is POPPING, you can tell how much the grind is turning up simply based on the enthusiasm levels everyone is exhibiting.
That tip of having enough seed ordered for the next year is a game changing tip, works with potting soil and amendments too. Even finances if you can afford to buffer that seasonal debt starting out.
Seeing your dad flick the mass of seeds on the vacuum seeder at the perfect moment is one of those tricks I can only aspire to.

I think they will do a lot to keep her from getting too sucked in to the social media as she ages and try and keep a good head on her shoulders by showing her life without a screen in between. I'm sure they will keep her active in the family circle too, which helps.

Could you build a similar unit to function nearly the same for 4 x 4 or 5 x 5 to position 16 or 20 seeds? Use a square of 2 inch insulation foam, drill smaller diameter holes than your seeds on the center of each cell. Bolt a back of 3/4 plywood having hash tag of grooves between the cell locations and fit a connection for a shop vacuum. A fexible hose could provide suction when a foot pedal is toggled. The unit could be face up loose in a plastic tub, the operator would spread the seeds across the foam then activate the foot pedal and tilt the unit to remove the surplus into the tub. Then flip the unit for mounting the cells at which time the operator would toggle the vacuum off.
A seed size dimple may be required on the foam surface to locate the seed. Multiple foam faces would provide various species seed sizes.

I would imagine that with all of the issues facing the world today including anticipated food shortages your farm market should do very well this year. With all of the veggies that you grow are you looking at ways you might be able to send some of the harvest to those affected by the war in Ukraine? I doubt there will be much of a harvest for them this year & the refugee crisis will be putting a strain on food supplies in many places where the refugees are gathered praying for an end to the war. It's amazing to watch this whole process & makes me appreciate those who produce our fruits & veggies so much more. Thank you for sharing.
