i miss mine... the stock engine was a POS, the rotostart flogged out. now i think of it, a proper double lip seal would probably work wonders as it only had an o-ring. o-rings are for static or sliding, not rotating! and a lot of its issue was the stock glowplug... whatever... never had it run for more than a minute at a time... basically take off, stall, fall over. rinse and repeat. rather frustrating. by the time i figured out that bit, had stuffed an osmax (30, iirc?) in there, and ran a few litres of fuel through it... utterly destroyed the chassis too :) kept the pullstart... that took a beating... but was definitely better than a drill, flat batteries, blah blah... got obsessed with the os fs 26 at one stage, but never shoved that in there, had it in a POS HSP. spent a long time figuring out a good gear shift, and hunting down gears, clutchbells, etc... looks like you have a fairly close ratio, i found on a car it needed to be almost a 2:1 step between hi and lo, for decent acceleration without melting clutches, along with a worthwhile top speed.. then again, i had the surpass rather than the C(x) engine... with a big bore 30 piston and sleeve :) also spent a long time, and a silly amount of money on the C(x) cam... crank (CX=pullstart)... pretty well much every part from the C(x) except the case itself... never actually ran it with the car cam in it besides a few bench runs? how life gets in the way of fun... and then stuffed it all in a box and forgot about it.... or more like, an old saucepan that then kicked around in various random locations gathering dust and iron filings and dead beetles... surprisingly, the tyres still look pretty good... sigh... almost got me tempted but yeah... finish the projects im already doing first! really do need to get my CNC mill back together and working again... that was about where i left off, starting making engine mounts etc for a new bike, and yeah... windows... dead PC... the joy of modern life, having to relearn software, everything you buy is obsolete before you even unbox it.... grrr! at a certain point you sort of give up and just watch the grass grow instead... cus you have to fix the mower, lol... at least my machining abilities have improved somewhat since then...
Hope you like my video channel and thanks for the reply, if you watch the videos of it running the gearing is pretty good with wheelie in first and good top speed in second, but sold it to a mate of mine in Italy 🇮🇹 The Cx engine is very collectible I sold all mine bar one, and just starting on another OTO or ZR racing 1/8 nitro, I sold my Mk 1 to a friend in Canada and again missed it so building a MK2 this build will be on CZcams soon, I not had many problems with nitro bikes but then again I been running them most of my life, subscribe if you like and keep the faith and start on that bike again 👍🏻
If you had only mentioned it once I wouldn't have bothered you, but you said you made the USD forks twice so I have to ask LOL. Any way you could briefly explain the materials used and type of machining done to make the forks? I dug my TT FM1e and Nuova Faor SF501 nitro out after 15 yrs in storage and always hated the forks on both...
few ways to loose abit of weight on these TTN's is chop off the front of the frame (the bits at the front with the slots in) remove the chain protector off the swingarm and drill holes in the bearing carriers that hold the layshaft, doesnt save loads but it all adds up and they aren't needed :)
Hi sir. I recently buy this rc bike. But I like to change the engine. Can I buy 18cxp nitro engine. The engine can fit perfectly? Please help me sir. Thank you.
Oh, I did enjoy this video about your model motorcycle. You've been very busy on this one, and it shows.
