I would really recommend Ghostrunner especially if you're a "crank the game's engine to 11" kind of person. Some people just adore seeing how far they can test a game and I think this is a pretty stellar option for them. Not to mention the gameplay is wonderful as is the visuals.
Good video
Will you take a look to foxhole ?
Bricky! Frostpunk 2 has been announced!
Fpp is First Person Platformer
I am such an OG with GeForce now that I don't have to pay for it anymore because I have Founders Edition
I have a Nvidia 630 feel my pain
Ok actually the sponsorship was actually relevant and informative - I didn’t know that was possible
Actually one of the first sponsors I’ve seen that actually tells you what they’re selling instead of ‘me use thing, thing good.’
i played cyberpunk with this in the free version. and the best thing is cyberpunk was the gog version whats mean its mine!!!
when i have a better pc i can play it myself without geforce now.
@@HendSelp so true
I'm impossible. If I'm advertise to, seemingly at random, I'll make it a point to go out of my way to not use the product or service just on principle alone. Hilariously odd 😂😂😏
For months I would wake up drenched in sweat with the lines "Amida Station compromised" flashing in my head over and over again. Thanks for re-kickstarting my ptsd. Also im glad this game is getting the love it deserves.
Played this game because a friend recommended it to me, and I was incredibly surprised how fucking good and fun it was. Great gameplay and doesn't overstay it's welcome. Super hyped for the sequel.
Wait there's a sequel thank you for giving me this information
@@TheMiner19 still in development but yeah its coming
wait until you play titanfall 2
@@letmetellyouabouttheconsti139 i have, its awesome
@Raven *it’s welcum
As a Polish I am so happy that you discover and love more and more of our games, while also bringing more attetion for those awesome games. Thank you
i think the only polish studio i know that has tarnished the polish polished games is CDPR
@@jacktheripper5112 pretty sure CDPR WAS Polish games until everyone decided to try and forget they existed. Interested to see what happens next.
@@brilobox2 Cyberpunk 2077 by no means was a bad game though, it just wanted to be too much and they weren't given enough time, the game is great though if you look past the bugs and the missing content, its just sad to see this massive cyberpunk themed game turn into a laughing stock even though its not that bad
@@jacktheripper5112 While it feels terrible to hear about praised company from my country sinking in public eye like that, as a gamer I am happy that something like that did happened because tons of devs suddenly went like "oh shit, we can't push this beta build just yet or we end up like CDPR". If only EA and Nintendo fan(atic)s would wake up already that would be great for everyone.
Polska Gurom
Feels good to have beaten a game and then have bricky talk about it. Feels like I'm one step ahead already. But fr this game is super worth
If you havent play through it without slowmotion, its fucking amazing
My first thoughts when I saw this were "3D Katana Zero"
Well, Katana Zero is one of my favorite games of all time, so sign me the fuck up-
It is exactly a 3d katana zero haha
Can't wait for the sequel
I love Katana zero, I wonder if the sequel will be called Katana One, maybe Katana? Probably not but it’d be sick.
@@IIiiiLiiOiiIii there is a sequel w h a t
Ngl I think Katana Zero doesn’t get enough attention compared to Ghostrunner. Anyone who likes Ghostrunner would love K0
I actually watched a speedrun for this game about a month ago and it’s quite the experience, it looks like what you would expect a ghost runner to look like. They also finish a bunch of sections too fast for the audio to finish
I really want a game to expect that and just have the character get mad because "excuse me I was TRYING to tell you something!"
Little known thing about ghostrunner:
Most people don't realise that the game has one of the most mechanically deep movement systems ever.
Your dash, slide and jump can all be cancelled into each other. Learning to use that knowledge is insanely fun, and mastering the movement allows you to move at absolutely ludicrous speeds and skip whole sections of levels.
Ghostrunner's movement is absolutely, far more "bonkers than titanfall's movement is", and I say that with 800 hours in tf2, the game just doesn't teach you it
After you've beaten the game, try going into the starting area and slide hopping, then dash sliding, then dash slide jumping etc
Great job Bricky, excellent review!
I'm so glad someone said this! I started slide hopping and dash sliding from the start because the movement reminded me of Apex Legends so that was natural for me but like a third the way through my run I found out about the dash slide jump and was like wtf I don't even need to use half this shit in the air I can just slide jump 100 feet over to the next platform lol. It made it SO much more fun haha
u might enjoy ultrakill
There's also ledge boosts like in Celeste which can be combined with slide boosts to get insane speed and distance
@@SuperXrayDoc It's insane, and the way that learning a new piece of tech completely changes the way you see and approach the game.
Corpse boosts, wallride chains, grapple cancels, it's amazing.
Hell, when the 2nd boss (Hel) hits you with her Katana, with nearly frame-perfect timing it's possible to USE THE MOMENTUM FROM THE HIT TO FUCKING YEET YOURSELF OUT OF THE ARENA AND TO THE EXIT like holy fuck what a videogame
The only thing this game did wrong was fail to teach casual players about this stuff. This game needs to be talked about the same way we talk about titanfall, mirror's edge and doom
You can also be a dumbass like me & get the game on switch. The controls are upside down & backwards.
I felt every single moment of Bricky going "THAT GUY!" referring to Tom
Anyone whos beaten the game or played that part will know
I feel like these "one shot dead" games always have great soundtracks, like Hotline Miami. Holy fuck, I never beat that game, but the soundtrack itself kept me going.
I honestly would consider this game to be more like a 3d katana zero
Because in bothe games you use a sword, die in on3 hit and respawn instantly
They even bothe have a very neon theme
Hotline Miami was great. The ending was awesome.
But never touch Hotline Miami 2. It's really bad.
@@chairmankurihara8658 I think Hotline Miami 2 was pretty solid. I liked the plot of both games
Katana ZERO for sure. Neon cyberpunk, katanas, speedrun accessibility, and very similar music themes.
@@brokenbiscuit3609 I did like the plot of Hotline Miami 2 but the levels felt like they were for made for guns only.
"I haven't seen any speedruns for this game"
My friend, you are in for an absolute treat on the level of titanfall 2 speedruns
I wanna see him review katana zero or dead cells. Especially katana zero since ghostrunner reminds of it.
0:32 can we just appreciate how close he comes to hide the pain harrold? holy fuck its uncanny
that panam bit reminded me, as buggy as Cyberpunk actually is, they really knocked it outta the park with the story and characters imo
it really is an amazing game. I never had any bad bugs besides one at the end which made me replay only 10 mins
cyberpunk is actually a good game, just not as good as it should have been
@@bleeem there is no should have been. It is what it is. When you say should have been it pisses on all the rest of the producy
@@Eon233 I mean, not really. It was supposed to be a certain way, and it's not. That's just what happened. Whether you enjoy what it turned out to be is another thing
@@Lynch2507 it wasn’t supposed to be a “certain way”. People wanted this game to be the next Jesus Christ. The next Mona Lisa. And hyped and spread every little rumor as truth and when it came out that it wasn’t, even though some of the stuff was never planned, it was lambasted. People like Yong Yea, Dantics, etc ruined the game for people due to talking about all the rumors and supposed features that wouldn’t come to pass. The game is not perfect but it is a very good game troubles by bad PR, poor upper management and the need to be 6 more months in the oven
Played this game on release day and loved every second of it. The hardcore mode was pretty fun to get through aswell.
Gotta say, I agree when it comes to GeForce Now. Even with somewhat decent internet I got it to work at native resolution on a MacBook Air to play plenty of games. I think the most graphically demanding was Kingdom Come Deliverance and that game at times had issues of artifacts and lag but overall I enjoyed the experience.
Oh, The upgrade system reminds me of the tank upgrades in Valkyria Chronicles,
Where you have some upgrades that are a slot you can put into your Tanks to mix and match them for more health, defence, accuracy etc.
I thought I was the only person who died a lot at that fuckin laser tower. Game is super fun. And also Ghostrunner 2 is in production
Love your vids man. Started with the warhammer breakdown, stayed for the diamond in the rough content.
This went from mildly informative to totally worth the time the moment a pug started dancing to some synthwave tunes. Good job.
I’m lovin’ this new Title format, Bricky
I played this game about a month ago and I was enjoyed the hell out of it but also that Hel boss fight almost broke my frickin controller
0:32 dude that smile made me smile. You look so happy
It all started with that smile
That damn smile
I loved the gatekeeper fight. I spent countless hours trying to master the boss fight get a 0 death run. A lot of people seem to hate it but personally I think it's one of the best levels.
Loved Ghostrunner, glad to see it getting attention and I hope they can bring us more like it! The only thing I thought took away from it a little bit was an enemy type close to the end of the game, the crawly, explodey bois. I felt like it just kinda took the fast pace out of it as you end up having to kite them around instead of focusing on killing dudes like a cool cyber ninja, but maybe that's just me
9:10 as a guy from Poland this does put a smile on my face.
same
ayyy I've played this game! Didn't expect Bricky to cover this.
Absolute blast of a game that feels amazingly smooth.
Bricky I'm waiting on the SEER review, take your time :)
This game is a great time, but relatively short. The game has so much more, that I don't see people covering enough. The hardcore mode, where all enemy varieties spawn in every level. The time trial mode where you have to reach the exit, while collecting extra time and killing enemies. The tacked on rogue-like that gives you god-level abilities. You only briefly mentioned speedruns, but the game is clearly meant for it given it lists your time at the end of the level. The tricks in the game are super easy to learn, even without watching a tutorial I picked up on some of the techniques. The hardcore mode almost pushes you to push the movement to it's limits, being able to fly at the speed of sound and kite around enemies is INSANELY fun. Like I said, they're super easy to learn and really improve the experience. There is SO much to love about this game, and I implore anyone interested to put in the time to explore it to it's full potential.
I listened to Daniel Deluxe before Ghostrunner even existed so i like it very much
I pre ordered this game the moment I saw the trailer, I just really loved the setting and titanfall looking movement.
I was playing on Xbox so some levels were slightly difficult due to frame rate but it still looks really good and controls pretty well.
i absolutely adore the way bricky describes things 😂
I’ve been waiting for this video
Great video, fantastic as usual.
Could you please explain all war hammer primarchs. I've watched your other video so many times, I've memorised all the words.
Dude T-073-M was like my favorite boss fight, because when you first do it its frustrating. but once you've learned everything there is to know and go back through its super fun.
I love Ghostrunner so much, i cannot wait for the second one.
Two bricky videos in one day. It's like Christmas
You sold me at the soundtrack.
As much as I despise ads, thank so much for the sponsorship. It has let me play so many more games such as this one that I couldn't before.
Thought G-Force ad was gonna be something lewd with that smile
I'd just like to say on my first playthrough, I had noticed two things that I made use of frequently to the point of stupidity.
The first and the one I discovered really quickly, you can move a pretty long distance laterally when you're using the mid air dodge. While the game teaches you to use that lateral movement to get out of the way of projectiles, I found the short dash afterward to be lacking, and would often get me killed in higher difficulties; So I would just turn my camera to the left or right and use the lateral movement to get closer to the enemy, however that did require some presence of mind, since you could get shot while doing so.
The second thing I discovered was that you could get a larger boost out of the dash from the dodge if you use it right after sliding. While I did mostly use it as a mobility tool to get through empty sections faster, as it left you pretty open when enemies would be shooting at you, I found it helped with getting through some parts towards the end of the game. There's some melee-range enemies that walk faster than you do, and can climb walls so wall running wasn't a free win, and the slide-dodge was really useful when I just needed some pure speed to get away from the abominations.
I can't believe you didn't mention Katana Zero!
Awesome stuff. Makes me wonder if you’d like Ultrakill if you haven’t already tried it.
That laser tower gave me flashbacks to clustertruck
I had no comment I was like that's pretty neat. Until the soundtrack hit and the pug popped up , for that I instantly hit the like. Thank you for that.
imagine a 40k khorne version of this. You're some random hive citizen who accidentally prays to Khorne, he boosts you up, and you just go on a rampage. Maybe there's a side thing where you can go into his arena to get stronger.
Dude I finished this game a few months back and have just been wanting more
Fully expected papa Brick to Ghostrunner. Fantastic game for sure.
Bricky is the light at the end of my tunnel
Everyone definitely has PTSD from "Amida station security protocols compromised"
The ghostrunner speedruns are indeed cocainum Bricky
That smile, that damned smile 0:32
Glad you like the game! Run on!
I love games like this with way more in-depth mechanics like this that the game doesn't really teach you, it's up to you to do limit tests and figure the most awesome way to do things. When you first start you're focused on killing the enemy and not getting hit but by the end (hopefully) you're doing 360 taunts dash slide jumping into enemies and get the ONE perfect clip where you just absolutely destroy every enemy swiftly and with style making it look like this is your first run-through of this and not the 20th lol.
I was so hyped when i got a 2 minute 0 death run on the tower level
"What are they feeding the devs over there?"
Pride and hard work
God I love this videos
Keep up the good work
This game was a banger to play. I think the only real problems I've had where with a few hitboxes that looked really off, but they weren't anything major tbh
I know the guy who voiced the Ghostrunner. Really cool dude, used to play Cod/Destiny with him years ago, but I'm glad he is making his dream come true of becoming a VA.
I've been seeing this game alot recently, I didn't really know how to feel about it, but it definitely fills that cyberpunk hole CDprojekt left behind...
I cannot wait to get this game I've been watching it sense it was announced, as a big fan of katana zero this game gives me a cyber punk katana zero vibe and honestly I'd have it by now if I could
I just played through the game and I had no idea you could rotate the upgrade nodes
That "thing" killed me 127 times
When I got the chance to truly play the game, it felt as if it was something I was missing came back, Ghostrunner lit a small spark of a speedrunner in me, and I wish I could wipe my memories of this game and play it again 😁
Sometimes a game’s music is so good, it becomes part of the story
The zoom in clap in the intro is always something I look forward to
Karlson 3d looking really good
Frostpunk 2 was announced baby!
The OST is made by Daniel Deluxe. He's amazing with everything he makes
9:16 i wanna know what their eating too because a second FrostPunk was just announced yesterday.
and now i kinda want to see Bricky play Katana Zero.
Frostpunk 2 got announced. LETS GOOOOO
"high hundreds" thats cute. On that tumbler level, mine was close to 1 thousand.
I used to play a lot of ghost runner on GeForce now but once I got to the tick level, it was over
Genuine question, what were you using to stream your game? Download speed, through Ethernet or WiFi, and on just your PC?
I’ve had really poor experiences myself with game streaming so I’m just curious, as I do want to try it more.
The best you can do to have a good experience is to have your pc connected with ethernet, that´s how I used to play with Geforce, with only wifi it gets very bad
The dancing Pug I now identify as Brick Bud
you have on steam a free demo of the game, you can try if i remember correctly the first level or so.
I had fun playing it on Luna until I got to the point with 3 shielded mini-gun dudes all next to each-other and couldn’t progress any further
something I wish ghostrunner would do is at the end of levels let you see everything you did from either your own or different perspectives in real time. so maybe you get to see some sick plays from the perspective of pistol boy who maybe didn't even see you.
I was already hooked, but that soundtrack... Why is it that the best games usually also have amazing soundtracks?
“You know exactly what my answer was.”
*M O N E Y*
Bricky apparently theres gonna be outer wilds Expansion and FrostPunk 2 trailer came out today
Did not notice the pug when it came time for the music
a very similar game is katana zero, same one hit death mechanic, spawn die on repeat, ninja/samurai in a futuristic dystopian setting, cyberpunk soundtrack (with a bit more variety), great story telling, except this game is a 2D platformer in gorgeous pixel art. I really recommend it.
As someone currently playing through Doom for the first time, all I care about is using the pistol almost exclusively.
Panam content, i knew my boi bricky was a man of culture
FPP = First Person Perspective
Also the answer to what we're feeding the devs is PIEROGI
In this case FPP stands for first person platformer.
I love playing Project Yi
this game was really hard, but i never got mad. its just like doom eternal on nightmare. super entertaining, really fluid, and when i do die, im immediately back in the action.
Speed very quick
The fast
10:08 i'm getting PTSD just from hearing this
You’ve mentioned Super Hot which is also produced by Polish developer studio!
Frostpunk 2 was announced!
This soundtrack reminds me of DEEP ROCK GALACTIC and I love it. I feel like that game would be right up your ally Bricky :)
Bricky : I rumbled like an eager machine spirit.
Me : Ah praise be to the Omnissiah
Bricky you got me addicted to frostpunk I hate you lol
You decker you forgot about the Poland Witcher
if it's not already in the works, I would absolutely love to hear your thoughts on the game Manifold Garden
