  • I was born with a speech impediment, an inability to pronounce ‘r’ sounds in the English language properly and consistently. To overcome/correct this impediment I went through speech therapy as a child. When I fell backwards, hit my head, cracked my skull, and got severe amnesia in October 2014 I had a variety of memory and brain function abilities impaired, reduced/impaired motor function, severe long-term memory loss, and my speech impediment returned. I am still healing and recovering from the head injury/amnesia. My ‘r’ sounds still slip from time to time. This video is Part 2 of 2 broaching the topic of my speech impediment and my amnesia and includes a brief discussion of two things that have helped me in my recovery from my amnesia: (1) visiting places I have been before, (2) writing.
Filmed by me (Tanis Coralee Leonhardi) in Shoreline, Washington State, United States of America at approximately 9:17-9:23 a.m. on Thursday 31 December 2020. Premiered 2 January 2021.
