bro please never stop this beautiful editing and landing everything on beat. it does not go un-noticed.
FOR REALLLL🔥🔥
factss its so satisfying
Right?! These videos always bring a sort of calm to my daily life. You’re the goat, dude!
At 1:35 I understood exactly why this skatepark is loved. Look at how buttery each trick looked. Maybe not a ton of variety but each obstacle feels great. I feel like this park belongs in NYC
Yes, it really has that vibe. LA: please mail us back our park. Sincerely, NYC
@@thundernixonthis belongs in the LA hood its at, alot of these parks in the trenches yall wouldnt even know. The county builds these crazy good parks bc they have money, but alot of these parks are ij compton, south central, long beach east LA etc. westcoast > everycoast.
The retro look of the park and its location make it unique as now 90% of the parks are made of perfect smooth concrete.
I visited this skatepark on my 3 month trip around the Americas, I cycled miles from my hostel to get there all because I saw Ty Moss's video all those years ago. It has a chill vibe that other skateparks in LA don't have. I'm not a great skateboarder but other skaters cheered me for landing tricks just cos they could tell I was battling for them. Good vibes.
One thing I think John missed in this video is that neighborhood/atmosphere of Frogtown skatepark. Its quite literally on the LA river, tucked away in a small lower income neighborhood that has been no bullshit for years. Although its getting a bit more gentrified down there now, its authentic, removed from the main streets and tucked away its a bit of an oasis in a sea of chaos.
I remember coming to marsh when I went to azusa years ago
Bro. I have been watching you for 8 years. There are so many things that I admire about your work ethic, and creativity. But the one that sticks out ALWAYS, is that every land is on the snare of the background music. As musician, that tiny detail tickles my preverbal creative prostate. 🤤
Love to see you making the same great videos you always have. Progress daily, and keep killing iiiiiiiit. Love you bye!
Great vid john
Loved the video! I love all your videos actually your so good at skating and it’s cool seeing someone be them selves.
Back when I lived in LA Frogtown was my favorite skatepark in California by FAR - same with most of my friends. A lot of the most fun I had was going there every week and messing around (mini ramp is the best obstacle!)
You're the best obstacle 😎
Videos like this got me back into watching you not going to lie I stopped for almost a year maybe. Still saw you through the feed. Thanks for still putting out videos
Solid video bro. Much love.
I grew up in LA. I remember 15 years ago you couldn't find a soul at this park or south pas, now they are all the rage. skateboarding changes, it gets back to its root. love this park so much. it's also really great cement
I feel like the frogtown park has more character. While parks now might be perfectly symmetrical and be a hotbed for Olympic training, the frogtown park has weird little set ups and obstacles that you have to think a little more about to get creative. The analogy i'll go with is while a normal basketball net is perfect and what is standard, a metal one give off that crazy sound and also lasts a lot longer. Both are incredible and you would be stoked with either in you local area.
Love your skating man!
Got a skatepark like this in Nevada, MO. Thanks for giving me some ideas.
my favorite park... it was really fun to skate when they shut down the park due to the corona.... You had to get in through a hole in the fence. Kinda wish you woulda kept this one on the low but hey
i agree with koston, the yellow skateparks feel so generated/copypaste, i still hate what they did to lake street park. Yea it was beat up etc. but it had character
me too
Would love to see you hit up hollenbeck skatepark, Belvedere skatepark , and smith park! !
I love your landings on beat 😀
We refer to these parks as crust parks. Metal prefabs are huge back here in Chicago and now where I am in Vermont, where there’s all these smooth parks, i can’t help but gravitate towards the prefabs
Love your video’s
I love the jazz tunes you use. Anyone got recommendations for some heavier jazz that focuses on electric bass lots ?
That one under the freeway is fun to watch, gnarly, my favourite is pool's, and 12' half pipe with 4' of vert
Its funny because Illinois has plenty of these metal parks. The ramps squirt water from underneath days after rainfall and many people dream of these LA type concrete parks.
Anyone got any skate shoe recommendations? I really wanted the Nike SB Shane and as a backup the Janowskis but they’re both currently sold out. I’m looking for something similar.
Grant taylors
Last resort
id kill to have either of those where i live wilmington nc has transition parks and more transition it sucks i want rails
Dope. Those are the shoes I gave you in THPS remake. Pretty sure you had them in NYC too
Come to Kamloops BC, Canada!!!
This is where gifted hater and Rickey glazer played skate
I don’t know what it is, but Marsh Park is top tier 😂
I love skating concrete always have even as a kid. I think it’s because I grew up in Az so metal was too hot to land on
Looks dope
that wood piece is my fav obstacle
This dudes out at Chevy chase at 7 am lol
When does that shirt you're wearing drop? Love the content as always man!
Come down to watts
109 skate park it’s kinda hidden
I want one of those "one more try" tops
Probably the same reason the Baker crew preferred that old Huntington Beach skatepark back in the day.
i agree with Koston. The metal park is sick.
Anything is better than flat (flat is cool too..) like this middle school would have days where they would put a bunch of stuff like ramps and rails in the basketball court and open ut to the public. Other days we'd just hit a curb. Good times 😂
frog kills this park 😍
This? This is cinema.
Belvedere skate park is my fav
reminds me of some parks in the north east
Short and sweet
remember when you visited the skatepark in the RGV? that skatepark looks like it. in that video from years ago, you said this it’s the type of skatepark you’d have in every town.. or something along those lines. i see what you mean by that
Good video
I think the thing with the smaller shitty parks is it forces the locals to think outside the box and try things that arent the norm since there is such a limited selection of obstacles. That being said, I can not stand ARC ramps.
I’ve been skatin for over a decade I love parks like this they’re chill no lil kids no mfs tryna be nyjah n I can jus roll up n skate
It’s a vibe
Prefab parks are so underrated
Do a video on LA spots
this video was so fast i didnt even finished my breakfast
Cool skatepark
You should go for adventure Man travel to world with your board - the ones from portugal was soo Good ! Get more people and interactions with people ! ❤
Damn I wanna go skate either one lol
OMG i live in frogtown, cant believe i missed seeing you here again =/////
Yeah it's loud, but louder is BETTER!
He moving in on GHs territory
Do you have any videos about how to skate if you’re a beginner?
Hey can you drive down to Port aransas Texas and review their skate park? It is probably a long drive but I think that it's a pretty good skatepark mainly because of the bowls and weird features but make sure to bring wax if you do go cuz nothing there is waxed.
While your skating is mind blowing , I think your graceful falls is even more impressive. If I hit a tic tac sized pebble there go my ribs , you miss a huge ledge and not even a skuff on the pink shoes. Keep killing it...
frog town is a good park because you can get so creative with the obstacles and use them in a unique way unlike any other park in la at chevy everything is so linear and perfect that there is no way to do things the way you want to you have to use it as a training facility
I wonder what have John the idea to have the tricks land on beat with the song
How’d you get to both marsh and ccp on the same day both absolutely empty lol
some people land 'raw' tricks, you land beautiful looking tricks. big difference.
purple slip ons look good.
Dan Corrigan collab when?
Rank Rob Dyrdeks spots!
the ugly one looks more fun and gives you more freedom.
Wasn’t Eric Koston just joking? He’s usually not serious about anything.
frogtown looks like a park i would avoid at all costs probnably rather just skate a curb tbh
I tried to think about the skateparks, but kept getting distracted by how good you are getting.
What do you listen to while you skate ?
Your tricks look like you have better flow and transitions into the Banks
tbh it’s all you really need that’s why koston is top tier
Content has been📈📈📈📈📈 recently
I think I’m have to agree with koston
Looks like every skatepark in the UK
lol real locals know frogtown is dope but only stay in the park
A lot of metal parks are actually a lot of fun. People just like to complain about shit because its what the "core" skaters do.
Duno brah koston been erralevant for a minute now he jus stuffs around when he skates these days.for me the world is a big skate park for everyone.
Dont you ever talk back to your daddy eric koston🫣
I never met a skatepark I didn't like. But the surfaces do have to be decent.
ONE MORE TRY
Shoes = +5 agility
What are those shoes
Wow
Come to Germany🎉
watch strobeck's recent the whole violet team ripped this park apart
I used to work right next to this park. It's ass. Don't let anybody fool you. Lmao
LA John Hill is bringing the real content blizzard. 🥶
What color is that? Puce⁉️
JH, why you so cool?!
same song every video. he owns it now
💀
at this rate john is bound to run into gifted hater
Cool park but Id hate to be the neighbors 😀
🛹🛹🛹
4th
Idk, I kinda prefer the "boring" skatepark tbh.
