Renly was the worst usurping scum in the damn show. His death wasn't brutal enough
Oh fuck stannis it was his killing of renly that pushed the tyrells right into the lannisters is arms. What did he expect for everybody to just go bend the knee to a guy who has no sense of humour, can not compromise and who expects absolute loyalty but can never offer anything in return. This is westeros a place where one is claim doesn't mean shit if he/she doesn't have the support or the troops to back it up.

Still mad about the direction the writers took Stannis in the show. It seemed he finally turned a corner for the better at the end of season 4 and start of season 5. D&D should have cast themselves as the two Bolton soldiers that attack the Mannis in episode 10.
Alamo Ranger I think I saw an interview where one of the main show writers basically barrated Stannis' character as unfit to rule. But thought his pussy ass brother would be a better king.

Honestly, considering his circumstances, Stannis was the best king. Robb might have been a tactical genius, but his strategic sense was way too short for the risks he took, and the one time he failed was the last. Daenerys is badass in pretty much every way, but she can't seem to hold keep control of her conquests. But Stannis... everytime he was crushed, he rose again.
Just a shame he's so fucking boring.

Stannis Baratheon and his huge army had a lot of potential even with use of brute force he nearly won against King Joffrey at kings landing but he listened Melisandre too much and ignored Davos which caused his downfall he even went as far as killing his own daughter the lord of light really was the wrong choice R.I.P Stannis

Tbh the lyrics would fit in that regard if it mentioned him not wanting to rule. Stannis didn't want to be king but fought for it as it was his duty to fulfil. That and God should be changed to R'hllor and it should fit well.
