Sweet's Mill Forest Recovery

CAL FIRE Crews (Miramonte Camp) in January 2024 help out Sweet's Mill recover from the devastating effects of the Creek Fire. Over several days, 2 crews and volunteers cleared dead and downed trees, and helped make the land safer by reducing flammable fuels (brush and limbs) and clearing fire roads. Cal Fire has assisted Sweet's Mill for many years, first helping us cope with the Bark Beetle tree death event, then the drought, and finally the Creek Fire in 2020. Mill Volunteers assist year-round to help bring the forest back.
