Shadow of the Tomb Raider is an upcoming action-adventure video game developed by Eidos Montréal in conjunction with Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix. It continues the narrative from the 2013 game Tomb Raider and its sequel Rise of the Tomb Raider, and is the twelfth mainline entry in the Tomb Raider series. The game is set to release worldwide on 14 September 2018 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Set two months after the events of Rise of the Tomb Raider, its story follows Lara Croft as she ventures through Mesoamerica and South America to the legendary city Paititi, battling the paramilitary organization Trinity and racing to stop a Mayan apocalypse she has unleashed. Lara must traverse the environment and combat enemies with firearms and stealth as she explores semi-open hubs. In these hubs she can raid challenge tombs to unlock new rewards, complete side missions, and scavenge for resources which can be used to craft useful materials.
The story takes place two months after the events of Rise of the Tomb Raider. The protagonist Lara Croft is an archeologist on an expedition to Latin America looking for a Mayan relic which has a connection to her late father. Trinity, a paramilitary organization dedicated to investigating the supernatural, seek the relic to reshape the world. During the expedition Lara sets off a Mayan apocalypse and she attempts to save the world. - Hry

This tomb was the most interesting to me. It's like it was made by giants and not men.
And that bit at the end with the drums always gave me thrills each time I managed to get past it. Honestly, all the DLC tombs were fantastic, much better then any of the core games tombs (though I'm more forgiving of A Survivor is Born Tombs as it was the first game in the reboot and the focus there was more on combat).
I'm working on a Tomb Raider Project and if given the chance to turn it into a game I would borrow from Shadow's DLC's because they were, for the most part, really fun and challenging yet fair. The one exception is the one with the poison gas as I honestly felt that one was to easy and I honestly feel the same way about the Path Home's DLC. But the other tombs were amazing, fun and easily the best part of a game that I found to be rather dull and boring.

Really loved this tomb, it was an ode to the older games.
Just got through this bloody level with the help of this video. For anyone else like me who was struggling to push the stone levers in, you need to know that some of them ONLY WORK FIRST TIME ROUND, which is just stupid! I restarted the level, was VERY careful to not get speared & I finally did it.
PS - it's almost the end of 2021. How can it be that this bug STILL hasn't been fixed??
Bro same, but I just keep pulling and pushing those levers and eventually they will work (the first one was most frustrating lol cause the lever can be ON TOP of the hole and still don't go in)
@@ljkai1108 Turn off vsync, set frame rate to half/60 fps, and set graphics to Direct X 11. You can reset after the switch activates.
For all of you who have issues pushing this on 6:52 I've found the solution. Basically you gotta push it like 5-15 times and then it finally works.

Turn off vsync, set frame rate to half/60 fps, and set graphics to Direct X 11. You can reset after the switch activates.
My favorite tomb. So original.
I died like 10 times because of the final drumming clubs path. I couldn't for the life of me time my run with the beat.

Same here...last savefile from a day ago. Can't leave the tomb :(
all you need to do is try twice or even 3 times consecutively, then you will be able to push the pillar. Stay there and try a second/ third time. Good luck.
@@danielatrifu This happened over a year ago, definitely not worth going back to try, but I spent hours trying to get this to work and it would not no matter what I tried. I ended up just loading a save from a few days prior and re-playing that portion of the game, and it worked fine the second time. Good lesson in keeping backup saves where you can.

very easy puzzle but that last jump sequence kept fucking me because the bar she swings on doesn't pop up in sync with everything else. i've died a ton from this one not due to difficulty but mostly because Lara decides not to grab a ledge or she randomly doesn't jump as far as she usually does.
I just finished this. Got it on my 6th try. Definitely one of my favorite challenges

what happens if one of the stones get bugged? how can I "restart" the level?
Why am I not seeing the stele at 1:55? Is it because i finished the game and maxed out my xps or something? For me there's an empty wall.

The create at 8:10 is bugged and stuck to the wall...I cannot pull it all the way in between the platforms I need to jump from and to. Been stuck on this for an hour idk what to do. Maybe I just need to take a break ):

Is it just me - or did this level seem to have a LOT of seemingly "false paths" - such as a broken bridge that it seems you should be able to reach? It seemed to branch a couple of times as if you could go (e.g.) left route or right route - but in the end it seemed only ONE of the routes could ever work...even though I think I could see Loot I thought you were shown could be collected (but couldn't reach) - don't know if I am making sense...but then...this level didn't make much sense (until the drums part)
What do I do if I went through the right side? I'm stuck! Can't go back to the beginning of this part!
In case you never got the answer, go in the area where a mural is and a door switch. One of walls has a wooden bar that Lara can jump up and grab. From there you can climb out and progress. I got stuck in this part too and this video was not helping. No offense, uploader.
I managed to get past it... everyone liked the question but Noone ever answered so I figured it out after dying about 20 times lol

How do you open the door?
For all those who are stuck at 6:52
Ik even after you push both the triggers that platform won't rise.
Trick here is that, get back to the rope pole which is at left side by sliding up there. From there you'll see that platform isn't rising in front of you, so just jump back in the space where the stone face has gone inside, with help of lever there pull that stone face out. And there you see both platforms are working like a charm. Tried and tested multiple times.
Didn’t understand literally stuck here since one stupid stone slab refuses to go back
i got there had no arrows didnt have any suppy to make any no campsite near by had to cheat to make it went back to last check point made some arrows can back to this Challenge

SOLUTION FOR BUGGED 2 PLATFORMS:
@6:53, this leaver needs to be pushed few times in order to set in, but IF you press it in, and the one before that, on the left side of this platform, and your whistling platforms still don't get raised, solution is to go to the previous platform on this side, and there is another leaver at the very end of it, same drill, wait for spikes, do the leaver and gg.
Done it like 5 times never worked, and then realised i missed this one. :D

This tomb was much too difficult, even on the easiest setting. I gave up, after those movable switches that go into the ground refused to move. Damn bugs.

Instead of jumping down, i ziplined down to the opposite side of the trench, and I have literally no idea how to get out of here or do anything

This was the correct path. You miss a collectable if you do not take that zip line. So go down the zipline, and gather the resources, then go to the left. Look across the gap, and you will see a small area to the upper left that you can jump towards, and then click your key or button in mid jump to throw your pickaxe at it, and then climb up to that solid ground. Then go across the thin walkway, and there is another mural. After the mural, climb the wall to the left, go through the window, and rappel down.
The path that TheNinjaGuyDon took, takes you to this area, but his path causes you to miss resources and the mural. This tomb has multiple paths you can take, but only one path gets you all the collectibles. You went the right way. Just after you go do the zipline, turn left, go to the edge, and look up and to the left at the ledge across. That's where you will see the climbable rock face.

The setup of the tomb pulled me really out of the game, as even in the world of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, this one made no sense. Most of them were quite bad, but this one topped it.
I get that Tomb Raider always used to be about these kind of sequences, but in a modern story telling, riddles should be told according and fitting to a story. Or else just throw it overboard and look for weird ornaments and be like Resident Evil.
did you ever figure out how to get in that door at the bottom of the zip line at 60 seconds in?
Those doors are for co-op mode. One person jumps on counterweight, door opens, partner goes in, jumps on similar counterweight on other side of the door and so on. Those are irrelevant for solo mode.
@@ravendark5588 What a stupid fucking game mechanic that is. i didn't even know this game had a co op mode. I've been trying to figure those door switches out for ages. Why doesn't a message pop up explaining that you need co op partner when you jump on the switches, or just have a different mechanic for solo mode.
Thanks dude i truly despise this dlc and the puzzles in this game in general arent hard they just make no sense when u watch the video u still are like ok how does that make sense tho the first 2 were challenging but at least made sense this game angers me

No, seriously, why does she pronounce "turbine" like that? That isn't "British English" or anything. It's just plain annoyingly weird.
I hate this stupid game. I hate it. I hate it. I really hate it. I am so fucking tired of trying to complete this goddamned challenge. 4 hours later, and I still can't beat the goddamned thing. This whole fucking game has been this shitty for me even though I'm a pro at TR 2013. Climbing in Shadow of the TR is total garbage.

Sure... ok so why can't I push the stones back? Cause I've push a couple in the wrong order? Now I can't undo it. How pathetically absurd. Literally a game breaking bug on keyboard/mouse. I immediately fell in love with this tomb, until I spent 2 hours fkn around trying to push stones that would barely budge.
