Time After Time by Molly Keane BBC2 John Gielgud, Googie Withers, Helen Cherry, Ursula Howells, Brenda Bruce, Freddie Jones, Trevor Howard, George Baker, Tim Ward
Excellent . Owned the book years ago and lost it during a house move . Have to say this adaptation is so good , but the book is better . The brother in the book is much more quietly mean 😂 However enjoyed this very much 😀 Thank-You.
Kandy Kandy I might try to ask my son , I don't do ' buying stuff over the internet ' due to not really understanding how it works 😂 Thanks for the suggestion . My son will so roll his eyes and say ' Mother !!! ' 😂
It's relatively straightforward. They give you directions on the sites/ Just enter the information...click next ... make sure it tallies at the checkout and you're done.
Thank you so much for sharing this film. I've been looking for it for years. My old copy with no captions wore out and it was a bonus to find this and have access to captions.
What a marvelous surprise ! I thoroughly enjoyed this program ! I wish the quality of the video were better, but I found the program so entertaining I continued to watch it all the way through.
Strange Googie Withers decided to adopt such a strong accent when she the didn't have one as a young teenager in this adaptation. Why has Baby June an Irish accent when the other members of her family don't? Maybe I need to read the book. The kitchen was a horror story. Thanks for the upload, I'd never heard of the author Molly Keane before.
If you go to the 20min mark in Pt1, you'll see Baby June's little back story. I think the idea is that she had learning difficulties/ was dyslexic, so they just sent her to a local school rather than going to England to be educated (like the others, who would have had elocution lessons). The parents didn't want her 'condition' known about in their social circle.
Such a treat to be able to see this -- thank you. I broke my rule ("Never watch an adaptation of a novel you love") bc the cast was so good -- I can never resist Googie Withers -- and I'm glad I did. And then to have the extra treat of learning that the poster was in it (you were very good) -- thank you!
I played young Jasper years ago!
How cool! Excellent film, loved it, thanks ❤

Thank you SO MUCH for posting this! I owned it years ago and lost it when I loaned it to someone. I've been dying to see it again! What a treat! :)

Your local library might have the book....give them a call to check!
Thank you so much for uploading this series.
What a wonderful cast, so charming to see John Gielgud playing himself , yet again - leaving all the ' acting ' to be done to the ladies.
Thank you so very much for sharing this. I loved watching it,

I just loved that . Funny but also sad. Not so good growing old. Don’t think it will appeal to younger people.
