Terrorism has a very specific definition. An act that is intended to cause fear in order to affect societal and/or political change. It has been stated by the FBI that he was being watched for suspicion of targeting Trump supporters and white conservatives. If that turns out to be true, and the intent was to make those with certain political ideologies fearful to express or support them, then it would actually fit the definition.

I have my ccw for my wife and myself, its not my responsibility to save you, even if I could by law I am not allowed to leave the danger zone securing a safe place for my wife then turn around and go back in and re-engage. Half the states require you to flee first, thank God I'm in Washington State and is a stand your ground state. Criminals will always have guns. Wake up and defend yourselves.

I'm very sorry for the victims and wish the families the strength to make it through this terrible loss. I also hope the supermarket survives. There are many more families that depend on that store for an income. It would be even more of a tragedy if those innocent families were also hurt by this.

The cops were called in my apartment complex a couple of weeks ago because the caller heard gun shots. It was a metal bowl dropped on the floor.

The women said she saw it was a semi automatic assault rifle that was being shot like rapid fire. It is impossible to tell if you are unexperienced with weapons if a gun is semi automatic or fully automatic besides the small hint of how many rounds are fired in a certain amount of time. She did specify how many rounds were shot but she didn't explain the time frame in which they were shot. She also didn't specify if she meant rapid fire as in the man was pulling the trigger fast to shoot multiple bullets in rapid succession or if she meant automatic weapon which would mean the terrorist would have to only hold the trigger down for a few seconds to fire multiple shots. However, @Darryl Hearne, you are also in the wrong here. The women could probably easily see what kind of gun the man was holding if she could see the dead body on the ground. Even if you have no gun knowledge there have been plenty of shootings in the past where the term assault rifle was used and explained on TV. Also any logical person could easily search up assault rifle on Google and spend a few seconds looking through definitions and if that's to hard you could also just go to images and you could find what your looking for. Next time, lets use some logic and reasoning skills to search up definitions of the terms used in the video so we can have intelligent debates instead of finishing every sentence with LOL or SMH.
Maybe she´s watched movies? Or school news? Assault rifle and Semi-automatic is common terms used in public debates, while fully-automatic is more of a pro term.

Everyone knows what a semiautomatic is. All you have to do is see news about other shootings that have happened.
Every time this occurs we have two conversations, one identify whether or not it was terrorism immediately followed by gun control laws. The one conversation that we are not having as a nation and worldwide as this type of thing is not uniquely American is the state of mental health in our overall population. Make no mistake, label this what you want, terrorism, hate crime, targeted killing, what have you but the reality is people who do this have reached a point of mental illness that one of two things happen. They either take their own lives or others. We have 7 billion people on the planet and with that number, the amount of them that are teetering on the edge is significant. Call it what you want, sane people do not do this.

@@chad9643 sometimes panic takes over and training goes out the window. As a veteran I understand that most people are just not equipped for these types of situations. You cannot expect a grocery store worker to be trained for this situation with ONE drill.

Who’s asking you to “give up your guns” ? Most of the proposed legislation is in regards to background checks. There might be some voluntary buy backs, but mostly it’s about background checks. Which even many police chiefs support. Not selling guns to domestic abusers for example.

I would imagine that there were some in the store that were armed but choked due to fear.
I would advance on a shooter no question about it , but I have an definite advantage over most that carry with nearly 30k rounds of pistol ammo used on the range and training for tactical situations
And I don't have any debilitating fear in stressful situations .

People in society need to agree that the people closest to the shooter won't run but will tackle the shooter. This interview is messed up... the witness claims to have seen the gunman shooting before he entered the store. But never called 911 and the news anchors never question her "did you call 911?" The witness talks about the gun used but claims to have never been around guns and doesn't know what gunshots sound like? She just happens to be a journalist, sees a man with a gun shooting people and never calls 911. Now obviously (and thankfully) many other people were able to call 911. On the surface this interview seems straight forward but it certainly is strange.

That is VERY false. Mexican citizens can still legally buy firearms but the location of where the firearm is being used is what's heavily regulated (concealed carry and as such) however its still possible for a citizen to buy a firearm and carry it for self defense.
@@spp6849 there is only one gun store in Mexico and for you to purchase a gun it has to be cleared by the Secretary of Defense hunting clubs have rifles but you have to have be a member of that club and your rifle is stored there if you do get cleared to purchase a gun the caliber is regulated that is the only legal way other than that Firearms are banned not just anyone can possess one.
