10 Reasons Why Doctor Doom Is Worse Than Kang

- Remember when the joke of the MCU was their villains? Not only did I never think that was legitimate, but look who’s laughing now. After Thanos, the MCU has quite a reputation to live up to when it comes to multi-phase villains who pose a threat to the entire universe, and they have not just one but possibly two of them up their sleeve for the Multiverse Saga. We already know about the coming of Kang, with his first appearance in Loki, his confirmed appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania, and getting his own subtitle for the next Avengers film. However, signs point to possibly a bigger threat on the way. Victor Von Doom is probably the most notorious villain of all time, and if Fantastic Four and Secret Wars are any indication, Dr. Doom is coming as well. He is perhaps the only one who can rival Kang as a villain, so let’s take a look at all the ways the Latverian leader outdoes the Master of time, right now.
Truthfully Doctor Doom and Kang the conqueror are very evenly matched. There are very few things that differentiate them in terms of power, and while Dr. Doom has earned his spot as top dog, there are definitely some versions of Kang that could beat some versions of Dr. Doom. It’s our new favorite rivalry, and both characters have long storied histories to help determine which one is worse. Who would you rather see coming for your universe? I think Doom will pose as a good guy up through the end of Avengers Kang Dynasty and, then, make a move to take godlike power for himself.
While I’d be kind of happy with that, I do feel it might look like they were just repeating Spiderman’s mysteryo again.

@@echo_z319 “Pose as good guy and then betray hero(es)” isn’t remotely a unique plotline and neither are most, you’ll almost always find an older story with the same idea. However if you put ones that are so similar in quick succession it is more likely to *look* like it was simply taken right out of the last successful one. Not merely that it was just that there are only so many main plots people tell the first place.

Pragmatism does not need the moral high ground to be effective. Doom wants to achieve whatever goal he has without care of good or bad. He is not evil he is amoral and goal oriented.

Message to mcu: as a fan, I beg you, if you go with the time runs out/incursion storyline, please, for the love of god, DO NOT leave out the scene where iron man and captain America die fighting each other. That's panel HAS to make it in for the gravity of the whole situation. To illustrate how screwed everything is. Please, don't forget that scene.
Kang is a villain through and through. Bored security guard from the future gies back and time and becomes a bully...then a time threat... until one if him becomes Immortus. Doom though struggled through oppression with a goal... to free his mom and get revenge on the government who wronged him. He dedicated his life to ensure he was the strongest so no one would harm him or his people, while still looking to free his mother. He truly believes he is the sole protector....and defender.

I'm truly excited for Doom in MCU but releasing Fantastic 4 so far in the Multiverse Saga (Phase 6, the last phase) worries me, if he's gonna be such a big role in the saga, he should start being introduced earlier

There is rumour going on that he might debut in the Thunderbolts movie, in the same T'challa was introduced in the Civil War movie
I'll hope Doom nevers sees the big screen again or that he is introduced when the MCU product dies out and is gone for a few years. I can't think of a director, script writer and actor that could pull off a proper Doom.

We need to see a Kang and DR Doom team up and then DOOM is the big bad in the next phase.
It would be cool if in the MCU, at the end of Kang Dynasty, Doctor Doom teams up with the Avengers and helps them kill Kang. But before Kang dies, he tells the Avengers that they should let him live because he was trying to stop what he believes to be bigger threat to the Multiverse. But they kill Kang anyway. (And Doctor Doom secretly takes Kang's powers.)
Then in Secret Wars the Avengers have a mini civil war over whether they should have listened to Kang or not. Then Doom helps the 'don't listen to Kang' side. And later in the movie it turns out that Doom sided with the Avengers against Kang in Kang Dynasty because he supports the bigger threat. (what Kang said was true) Then, they defeat Doom, but fail to learn about what this big threat is. This could set up the next saga.
The comics have had multiple reasons for what allows somebody to lift Thor's hammer... One of them was worthiness of violence. One of them was to spite Thor, everyone could lift it but him
So kang dynasty will be about kang and secret wars will be doctor doom.

Guaranteed that Iron Man and Capt will be back during one of these Avengers movie.
The MCU is still doing fine, everyone just wants another Thanos as quickly as possible yet they would cry if they weren't fleshed out for a decade first. I'm just gonna keep enjoying what we get when we get it and then I'll enjoy the real "big bad" whomever that may be, when they get here.
Fun Fact: Docter Doom is powerful but kang can eliminate doom before he was born so none are worse
Doom also has access to time travel and he's directly connected to Kangs origins so Kang cant wipe Doom from the timeline without affecting himself.

Whose ‘ancient’ technology do you think allowed Kang to time travel in his original origin to begin with?? Doom predates Kang in reality as a character. Doom is the OG time traveler sending the F4 back in time via the time platform in F4 #5 in 1962 before Kang as a character even existed.
Kang stumbled upon Dooms very same platform time travel tech (in Fantastic Four Annual #2 in ‘63) in a warehouse in the 25th century when he was just a lowly master criminal. This allowed Kang to travel in the past to ancient Egypt where he then became Rama-Tut starting his journey as the Kang we know.
Doom was the one who invented the first time traveling machine and tech in Marvel not Tony Stark like in the MCU, not Richards, and def not Kang.
Without Doom there would be no Kang.

Dr. Doom is a far better and worthier Avengers foe compared to Kang.
On a serious note. We’ve seen in the previous saga how the mcu changed things up by letting the bad guy “thanos” win.
However I think somewhere in the next avengers 5/6, we’ll see the two biggest bad guys having a conflict/fighting which is gonna be a fresh take on the avengers movie through “kang” and “doom”.
Just think about both are great adversaries to each other’s in the comics + it would be super cool to see them fight in live action.
Imagine if it comes down to every other hero and villain so far defeated and doom appearing to finish the battle

Just as a note do you think Marvel's movie villains are getting better say what you will about phase 4 but it is brought us three top-tier villains in Wanda Wenwu and the Green Goblin and I think Namor would be great especially if he's going to stick around

How is doom stronger if kang can see him coming before he gets close. Kang can literally write doom to die in his script.
As much as I like Dr Doom, What this guy forgets is Kangs related to Reed and even somehow Doom, therefore I'm sure if he really wanted to he could do what doom has done and maybe beyond unfortunately the Creators don't go into depth of what kang can do, if a man can take over unlimited time-lines and even conquer his entire Universe what could stop him from doing what Doom has done, especially a Being who found a way to make himself immortal by living outside of the time stream
I think it is a case of what Kang could do Doom has already done and what Kang has done Doom could easily do. Doom came first by a long shot and has a much better design in appearance and in character. He is an OP human who struggles with what he should do and what to do when he finds the goals he achieved don't suit him. A much more relatable character.
@@thorinhannahs4614 you're right but the last time I checked The Millions of Dooms have had they're brains Scrambled by the Council of Reed while the council of Kangs have been running things since the Beginning of Time almost, Doom may be Smart but his ego gets him Defeated while if kang gets Defeated Kang could escape to a different timeline and go back before the event and do it again better, Kang has Conquered time to the Point where is Mistakes could be easily fixed without it being Noticed
@@KravenTime I don't see the value in unlimited restarts that don't achieve much for the character or the universe. I guess I see it as Kang gets unlimited lives and that is it.
@@thorinhannahs4614 because if comics were realistic and didn't talk so much during a time he could just eliminate his Opponent the first time he was Defeated then went back he could easily know the next move and wipe out the Opponent, comics are to busy thriving on the Hero winning especially to beings who would realistically take them out without a Thought
@@KravenTime So how do you make Kang fulfill your vision of him? Have Secret Wars meet Flashpoint Paradox? He travels through time and dimensions pulling edge of tomorrows until? Given his kit and scope him being a big bad seems silly when he should be a sort of one off interloper in the universe. I guess that frames him as a redundant derivative of Doom.
This is what i was hoping for...2 big bad's with separate agendas and the avengers trying to fight on all fronts. It will be glorious.

Comic Book feats doesnt always translate well into the movies, biggest example was CA: Civil War. Tony’s team would definitely be able to stop Cap’s but they weren’t successful.

I always said Doom is the one who can bring that same level of "Infinity War" type hype back to the MCU , Kang is cool and all but Doom is far more known by the masses than Kang is and is a top tier Villain in all of comic history ...but with that being said they have to do him right on the big screen for that same hype to return but Doom can definitely bring that feel back.
You need to read up on when Kang goes to the future to meet his younger self. Nathan is in the Doom's library, and Nathan is attacked by a Doom bot.
Nathan says (paraphrasing: Doom bot your master is dead, stand down) Kang appears and shoots the Doom bot, then tells him to go back to the 20th century
and tell Doom who sent you (something like that) the point is stop trying to hype Doom over Kang, Kang will out live Doom.
So, in the 31st or 41st century, whatever timeline Kang was in when he was speaking to Nathan Doom was dead, and Kang was still alive.

DOOM is the only possible final villain of the marvel universe. I cannot wait for a proper DOOM story. He's arguably the greatest villain in all of fiction, if he's represented properly he'll easily be the greatest cinematic supervillain all time, even eclipsing heath ledgers joker.

Kang plays the long game. This is why Doom can not defeat him. MCU knows what they are doing with Kang where they can take him. Just read the uncanny average 2012, and you will see why Kang is a tier 1 villain.
