We are proud of our not so tall buildings, since we are not copying to be anyone else, we are who we are, we are Ugandans. Just like many cities in Europe they don't have much skyscrapers but are beautiful cities. That's exactly what makes Kampala unique. We ain't in competition with anyone. I have much love for my City.

So Nairobi's KICC, 28 floors, which was opened in 1973 is still taller than all buildings in Kampala.

Though there are mega constructions taking place which I will be bringing next month.
I'm looking forward to the next list which of course will include Pension towers and The Marriott hotel. I'm Kenyan and I don't think its right to compare Nairobi and Kampala. Secondly KICC would not even feature among Nairobi's top 10 tallest buildings. Cities are different and its good to celebrate progress.

The tallest building is the Pension Towers with 32 floors. This has already topped out. The Kampala JW MARRIOTT hotel opposite Mestil Hotel is 29 floors.

Bro thats wrong sheraton has never been obote or appolo hotel , it was "Nile mansion" then sheraton after privatizing it from the government to a private owner thus sheraton though good content
