An "instant pot" is just an ordinary electric pressure cooker. "Instant Pot" is only another trade name. I have an AEG "instant pot" for many years now.
Depends on the particular brand/model. Some of them do other things.

When I make a pot pie just for me, I do them in Individual servings. And a whole pie for my son and family. My granddaughter has renamed my chicken pot pie, it is now called Ry's pie. Her name is Ryleigh 😅

Ground beef make wonderful pot pies. If you want bigger chunks of meat then make meatballs with it and use them in the pot pie. YUM!
I was thinking of using ground beef also. I think it would taste just as good.
Hi Renea, you are exactly right it isn't about how it looks it's about how it tastes. I have attempted enough omlets to know that by now lol.. Your pies look beautiful and they look like someone has put a lot of thought and a lot of love into them. I would take those over the cookie cutter version in the box any day.

Renea, when you said "unthaw" I giggled. Daddy has brought up words or phrases like that off and on that get me every time. A couple of his best are a "hot water heater", there is no such thing. If the water was hot why would you need to heat it? And on prescription bottles they say something like "take one tablet three times a day". If you take a tablet in the morning you can hardly take it again two more times! 🤣
I have always made soups, stews and pot pies with whatever leftovers I had. The only thing I make with a recipe is my crust for a pot pie. I tried a whole wheat crust recipe about 40 years ago that is so delicious I've never used anything else. It's done as only the top crust but it's so good no one has ever minded.

That's how I make my chicken pot pie.
At work, at our small Deli, they use the small foil tins, and only put a dough cap over them. But people really go for them, because you crush the lid into the Chicken pot pie. Easy for us! I recently ate a couple take home ones heated in my ancient 1950's oven HA! I want your oven! HA! The husband of my coworker, said there wasn't enough chicken chunks in it. Party pooper...
Your 1950's oven is most likely well sought after. I remember my grandmas and it was 1950's I loved that stove. Yes I am in love with my oven too.

These meals are going into our freezer this week, now I do not know how long they will be in the freezer because our children children will probably grab them and take them home to feed their family. I love your channel and thank you for sharing.
My husband doesn’t like the texture of the mushrooms so I get dehydrated or freeze dried and grind them. We have the flavor and he doesn’t even know there in there.

I am so discouraged right now. My stove went out before Christmas and the new one won't be delivered until Tuesday. I need to make bread and some of these wonderful dishes. I guess it's ok because I came down with the big c and I am quarentined through Monday. Life is all about timing so starting Tuesday I should be good to go. 😊

I've never had tender round steak. But I'm willing to try this recipe because I trust you. When you say to bake it in the oven low and slow, how long do you bake it for? I've only had round steak pan fried, so it's always a tough cut of meat. I haven't bought round steak in probably 40 years just because of that. I remember buying a lot of round steak when I was first married because it was cheap. $1 a pound! Back then, in 1980 gas was $1/gal too.

Yes it was raw and yes you can refreeze it as long as you did not thaw it in the microwave.

Hello Renae. We usually buy pot pies when they are on sale at deli but by doing your way we will know exactly whats in them. I'm currently having stomach problems and trying to find out whats culprit
