My name is David and with my dog Lefty we travel the country in our ambulance conversion RV. I made this change to my life and you can too! Like, subscribe and comment! Lefty would appreciate it - he wants the adventures to keep coming!
The Campulance is a 2002 Ford E450 Marque Commando 164 Class III ambulance powered by the Ford 7.3l Powerstroke turbo diesel engine and a 4 speed 4R100 transmission. Lefty is a 68lb American Staffordshire Terrier (best I can tell) that came from the Verona Street Animal Shelter (www.vsas.org/) in March 2014 at the age of 9 months. I absolutely loved this one. Thank you for inviting us into your home. I have watched you put a lot of this together, and to see how it has worked for 4 to 5 years is great. You have it just the way you want, trial and error. I remember when you sold your house and spoke to your neighbor as you were leaving the neighborhood. You and Lefty have come a long way, and share a very special bond and friendship. Plus you have the freedom to come and go where you want, stay as long as you want, and move on. We recently had a STORM in Spencer; thankfully the Rig was up on jack stands waiting for me to install the air locker in the rear differential.

Someone seems to have discarded a 'koi' fish from their garden pond. And, it has grown without being molested by other outdoor critters. And, it has been finding food -- and grown. WOW!!
Lefty didn't like the Storm very much it would be fun in a big lot with some jumps

Very thorough rig tour. Hard to believe how many years it has been. My grandson is crazy about playing with his toy monster trucks and construction equipment, so he'd go nutzo over the storm RC truck.
You have created a comfortable living space. You should be proud. It is impressive. Many people strive to be a minimalist. Your space actually removes many worries.
Lefty can make a STORM when he gets excited.

Thanks for the tour David. My wife and I are looking forward to quartzite this year. We want some more snowflake rolls! Would like to see you and Lefty. When you’re not recovering from illness. We are glad we could get those rolls for you. I could have some fun with my grandsons with that STORM. They have some cool RC’s. Our trailer is almost done. It will be nice traveling with full utilities this time. We told our daughter no car accidents this time the day before we are to head west. She’s up and about now she has a limp and still some infection to deal with. She was laid up for quite a while. Safe travels to you guys.

Hi David, seeing the rust on your hitch, I was reminded of a product I first used about 8 years ago and several times since with great long lasting success. Rustoleum Rust Reformer. It somehow neutralizes and converts the rust into a paintable surface. No need to sand; just wire brush all the loose stuff and spray. The project from 8 years ago is still perfect. All the best!

!!!! STORM!!!! Hello David and Lefty, thanks for showing us around your home. Wish i knew rv electronics like you do, it would really help on our 1999 Econoline conversion. We live in Cottonwood Arizona, so we have plenty of desert space to enjoy the STORM rc truck.

STORM….Great video I’ve always loved your rig. The opening of this video where Lefty grabs the wheel of the RC car made me smile. I had to put my little man down Wednesday he was fourteen and his health had been declining since last year and he used to grab the lawnmower wheels and the vaccum hose and bark like crazy, so brought fond memories to my heart. I’m really struggling with this loss so seeing and hearing Lefty was good for me. He is such a fun dog. You got a good boy there even with his little shananagains he is awesome. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤

Hi David and Lefty: ive been watching since the beginning so I've watched you build that campulance. Your learning all about that truck and the time it took was inspirational. One thing at a time. Deliberate and always simple. No need to make anything more difficult than it needs to be. It has been great watching and I've enjoyed all your videos. A suggestion, perhaps put up some family photos. I'm a bit surprised there are none. I'll write storm for my nephew. You take care of yourself. Glad tge eye is healing.

I was an EMT for over 10 years. It's funny when I went out on calls, on the way back to the building after a call, I used to sit back and think how this could be a great camper type home. That was back in the 90s. At that time, it was never heard of.. To see what you have done and to watch you along on your journeys is pretty cool. I'm glad you took my thoughts and made it possible. I have seen some pretty amazing rigs gone camper!!! The wiring an entity all its own!!! Hahaha, stay safe out there.. ohhh, by the way, It looks like you may have conjunctivitis, aka pink eye.... It seems to be going around!!! Odd....
