Kosem got what she deserved.
Murad one of the best SULTAN of ottoman. But kosem poisoned him.
I love Murad always.
You do realize this is fiction right? This is not what happened..
@@thewraith3366 in real life Murad died by liver cirrhosis. But I think kosem also poison him. Bcuz in this series Murad also had liver cirrhosis but the physician gave him poison instead of medicine bcuz kosem order it. And in history kosem really killed ibrahim. So I think it's possible kosem killed murad too in history.
Kösem Sultan was the 3 longest reigning Valide Sultan:
-Turhan Sultan(mother of Mehmed IV,of Russian Slavic origin)-35 years
-Perestu Sultan(stepmother and adoptive mother of Abdülhamid II,of Circassian origin)-28 years
-Kösem Sultan(mother of Murad IV and Ibrahim I and grandmother of Mehmed IV,of Greek origin)-28 years
-Gülnuş Sultan(mother of Mustafa II and Ahmed III,of Greek origin)-20 years
-Mihrişah Sultan(mother of Selim III,of Georgian origin)-16 years
-Pertevniyal Sultan(mother of Abdülaziz I,of Unknown origin)-15 years
-Bezmialem Sultan(mother of Abdülmejid I,of Georgian origin)-14 years
-Hafsa Sultan(mother of Süleyman I, of Unknown origin from the Caucasus region)-13 years
-Nakşidil Sultan(mother of Mahmud II, of Georgian origin)-10 years
-Saliha Sultan(mother of Mahmud I,of Greek origin)-9 years
-Nurbanu Sultan(mother of Murad III,of Venetian origin)-8 years
-Safiye Sultan(mother of Mehmed III,of Albanian origin)-8 years
-Dilaşub Sultan(mother of Süleyman II,of Serbian origin)-2 years
-Handan Sultan(mother of Ahmed I,of Bosnian origin)-1 year
-Halime Sultan(mother of Mustafa I,of Abkhazian origin)-1 year
-Şehsuvar Sultan(mother of Osman III,of Serbian origin)-1 year
-Sineperver Sultan(mother of Mustafa IV,of Circassian origin)-1 year
-Şevkefza Sultan(mother of Murad V,of Circassian origin)-3 months
Turhan Sultan was from Ukraine. Otherwise French diplomat de Lacroix would write that she was from Moscovia, not Rus'.
@o4ei1ip2i Turhan Sultan was Russian from the Russian steppes.
Her exact birthplace is unknown.
Hurrem Sultan was Ukrainian(Ruthenian)from Rohatyn, but Turhan Sultan was not.
@@drfhgs428She was born in 1628, Moscow did not start expanding into southern steppe until Alexis Michailovitch and his children.
She would be Ukrainian, not Moscovite. Not that it mattered. She was a slave of Christian and Slavic origin.
Sultan Kosem can win and have it all...but are not forever❤
At least she found peace. Her whole life of suffering finally has comes to the end.
That monster can't be resting, she is probably paying her dues
@@georgemargaritis2392right I hope so
Who knows what she found in the after life after. All that killing
At least Kosem never stole the ring instead it was given to her by the previous Mother Sultan! She proved she was more than smart to rule a dynasty.
No matter if Turhan is now the queen Kosem will always be the queen Kosem is the real queen 👑
True
Being most powerful queen, doesn't mean that she was so nice . She was thirsty for power. She was horrible as a mother. If she didn't kill sultan murad iv , ottoman could reach in new era . If you live by sword, you'll die by sword . And it happened. Feeling bad for kasim , murad , Mehmet that they got this kinda mother.
Bye Kösem, you were one of the most powerful Sultana in Ottoman Empire.
First being Haseki Sultan of (Ahmed I)and then three times Valide Sultan and three times being regent(to her sons Murad IV and Ibrahim I and her grandson Mehmed IV).
But she didn't desreve such ending.Yes her third regency wasn't good and she had done a lot of mistakes in her third regency. But she went mad after Ibrahim's death.
Osman II, Kösem Sultan and Selim III didn't desreve their ending.
But at least their murderers got what deserve in the end.
In Kösem's case,Turhan wasn't the one who order her execution, and Süleyman Aga and Melike Hatun(who were the main responsible for her execution) were thrown to the rebels in 1656(the reason wasn't because of what they had done to Kösem, but because of their corruption, so yes they didn't achieve their plans as they had thought).
And it was Turhan who order them to be thrown to the rebels, lol.
Suleiman Aga was exiled not killed and win well his life ( I think that Turhan knew he was too much ambitious and maybe will betray her and her son if he could gain more power), and Mehmed ( and surely Turhan) really try to save Melike ( even if Melike was really corrupted I'm always uncomfortable when we talk about lynching because that's what happened).
But I think that Turhan was aware to the plot and at least cover it, I mean I don't see this people kill a Valide without the approbation of a powerful person ( but it is only a theory we will never know the truth)
@@nesiacha3659 Yes,my mistake Suleiman Aga was exiled in 1652 and he died in 1677. Melike was executed with her husband.
Also parallel between Turhan and Safiye-execution of Melike and Esperanza(both clouse friends to them, but Turhan didn't try to avenge for her friend, like Safiye wanted). Ah yes,Turhan was aware of the plot and probably involved in but what I wanted to write is that she wasn't the organiztor of the execution. It's seems that they didn't want to execute her,but something happened and was it sudenely or not,we can never know.
We can never know what happened to cause Kosem's execution-there are only legends, not informations about it.
Turhan, Kosem, Suleiman Aga, Melike, Dilashub ...
Only God knows.
@@drfhgs428 I think that they really want to kill Kosem to the start because unlike Safiye she got still allies, and if she came back after they make her into the Old Palace , we know what she could do to them.
I think she didn't want to dethrone Mehmed, but she signed herself her death warrant by becoming more erratic and make her regecy a castrophic and then didn't want to retreat anymore ( I said that when I really love Kosem but clearly not her best moment).
Agreed about Turhan.
@@nesiacha3659 Well, the main difference between Kosem and Safiye is that soldiers- Janissaries still supported Kosem, while they hated and never supported Safiye.
In the harem it was contrary, the harem supported Turhan over Kosem, while in Safiye's case with her exile, almost all harem left.
So she still had alliences, but Handan exiled a lot of them and in the divan she replaced all corrupted statesmens(Safiye's men) with her Bosnian countrymen(who were loyal to her, even after her death).
But yes, that wasn't serious like Kosem-Turhan, as soldiers never supported Safiye, unlike Kosem.
I don't think they wanted to kill her from the beginning, probably there were intrigues by both sides-Turhan and her supporters to sent Kosem in Old Palace with their growing support, and Kosem wanted to scare Mehmed and Turhan and her supporters with her support from the soldiers, and it seems that things have just gone too far, which lead to the execution.
But idk really.
@@drfhgs428 Melike Kösem's servant? The one she took under her wing
Taking stuff from dead body- that too personal stuff 😢 really bad idea😮
Listen, I just stumbled across this account. I have no idea what season or episode this is. But I have watched, I'm guessing, the last 5 or 6 episode. And all I know is that Sultana Kosem is the freaking boss and that the lady in the red can go kick rocks.
I so wished they continued the series. I would have loved to see Turhan's story told❤
They did dirty to Turhan with just 4 episodes, she deserves an entire season... I mean, her own series.
Not much to tell, the real history was she was so inexperienced that the Grand Vizer took over, she stayed out of the picture...
@@FauZhee le lien stp
Turhan had a very interesting story as well, just like hurrem and kosem. She was also the last of the sultanate of women if I remember correctly. A series about her would make an amazing endings to the trilogy of muhtesem yuzyil, serving as a closure to the sultanate of women, the ending of an era.
I’m glad to see all those who betrayed murad many years ago, finally they came to their end. Turhan was their karma as they thought they were immortal 😂
Yes Sultan Murad one of the best SULTAN of ottoman.

Kosem 👑
Mother Turhan and Koprullu sent their regards! And these regards have never been sent back, unlike how Kosem worshippers claim!
That's because it didn't happen this way...this is a historical fiction show....the reality is Turhan did not wield any power since she was very inexperienced she stayed in the background..
Turhan hatun is such evil! Kosem sultan killed so many people those traitors and villain who are not worthy for the dynasty but she had not killed just to get power. Kosem sultan and Sultan Ahmed is my favorite ruler in the ancient history...💓
What was Farya Sultan and Silahtar’s fault why did she killed them and deprived Sultan Murad of his loved ones ? So he ended up giving up on everything and cruel ??
Sultan Ahmed Khan would never have allowed traitors like Turhan Sultan and his party to kill Kosëm Sultan for no reason and for sure he would have liked to live that long to prevent this from happening.
It was coming. Finally Kosem got what she deserved. She set up this moment the day she decided to kill Sultan Murad.
Murad was becoming a tyrant. He was executing people simply for disagreeing with him. He may have started off as a good sultan and he was brave and strong unlike his brothers but as time progressed and his power grew he became increasingly paranoid and he began to develop a God-complex - believing he had absolute authority over everything including life and death. Kosem was right to overthrow him and you could see that compared to Ibrahim she was more devastated with Murad's death. She was racked with guilt but she knew it was the right thing to do. The "right thing" would be debatable of course depending on whose side you are on. What she did next though, which was to crown Ibrahim and make him her puppet was when it all went south for her . She knew that Ibrahim was unfit to rule. He was weak and mentally-disturbed, but she placed him on the throne anyway to secure her power and position. For the first time it was no longer about protecting her children or saving the empire. It was about her. That's when I lost all respect for her.
@@s_shaleh fair enough but kosem is the one who is responsible for driving Murad that crazy. She started it off by killing Musa and constant schemes to control and influence Murad's decisions as a Sultan which hurt Murad that deep. She finally killed Silahtar and Farya to marginalise Murad. Kosem always wanted Murad to act as her puppet, never recognized him as a sultan and a Sultan of Murad's calibre would not tolerate such schemes you know. When Murad ascended as a child, he needed her but you just cannot try to control a grown Man ( Sultan) . So, Kosem had a fair share in Murad's becoming that cruel, she is the architect of the monster.
@@iftanik4604 I disagree. He and Ibrahim were both mentally-disturbed because of the trauma they experienced in their childhood. Kosem might have annoyed him by undermining his authority all the time but it doesn't justify his cruelty towards his people. A king must be just and remain level-headed no matter how dire the situation is. His reaction to losing his (and Farya's) unborn child was too extreme to say the least. That had nothing to do with Kosem, by the way. She spared his child even though she couldn't stand Farya. She also pleaded with him to show mercy to the people but he refused. He executed hundreds of people on the streets without even giving them a fair trial and when he was rebuked by a cleric who reminded him that it was a grave sin to abuse power, he attempted to execute him too. As I said, Murad believed that his was the word of God.
@sueshaleh Kosem however was ALWAYS a tyrant.
She deserved her fate and then some more
She never try to kill Murad.
Kosem sultan is one of the great queen
@15:46 can anyone tell me the name of music
the death of haci was very emotional
That monster got what she deserved...
She killed, murdered and deposed on her way to absolute power.
A pity she ended up hiding in the closet - she could at least have a knife and stab anybody who found her.
What happened to Kosem, she got greedy and power hungry. This is not the end I thought she would receive. I thought she would be different from others but sadly she was bo different. Dissapounted.
Kosem was the strongest Sultana, a powerful ruler in difficult times. She faced worse times than Suleyman itself. She had her mistakes, but who are we to judge? Suleyman also killed two of his sons. This show has loads of fantasies. In reality she never wanted Ibrahim or any child death. But, same as all great rules, has put the dynasty before anything. No woman is known to have ever had such power as she did. There are loads of good rulers around the world, including Mary Queen of Scots. Her death was awful.

In my opinion kosem was greedy of power and he used Ottoman sultan as their toy instead of muhtesem yuzyil kosem the drama should be filmize on Sultan Murad Khan in detail his 8 years of rule
End of the show.
Both in history and show Kosem was better than Suleiman ( even if her third regecy was catastrophic because for all her tragedy). With Handan and later Turhan she put an end to the fratricidal law even if she will paid the high price for that.
Rip Valide Sultan. You do very good things to Ottoman Empire.
Some bad points of the show ( in fact there is a lot of said about it , but I will only make few):
-Suleiman Aga was black ( just like a lot of eunuchs). Why we don't have more black people in Ottoman Empire. There were a lot ( we only have Golge).
-They make Kosem try to dethrone for power. Wrong she was not, she did well her part of regency even if she had to dealt with chauvinist, she never opposed to her son Murad and always support him publicly, and he respected her in return. They make her a Cixi, or Mary of Medici. For Ibrahim he was mad so yes, she must to rule instead of him. When he throw her, big problems appears.
-Murad IV was butchered like his mother. Moreover in real life he was attracted to men (although he liked Ayse a lot). It could have done something interesting in the show and it would have destroyed certain stereotypes which are always present concerning the men attracted by the men. But no instead we have hero male white 100% attracted only by women.
Plus he was having teenage fits all the time he was unbearable.
I'm glad you pointed out the lack of diversity in the cast, because that is something that has bothered me from the beginning of this series.
@@TJRhea What do you mean with "lack of diversity"?
Kosem better than Suleyman?Tell that to the damaged status-quo and hierarchy and a lack of military management ...both în history and series I thought Suleyman would have made a cardiac arrest to how corrupted this Empire became.
@@paslaruflorin-alexandru9088 Kosem inherited of a horrible situation.
The Ottoman Empire was already in great decline when it took power (some historians think that the fault lies with Murad III, others say that Suleiman was one of the architects, in particular by useless conquests and by not pursuing the plan of his father. Suleiman inherited a very good situation due to the hard work of his father and his ancestors but the traces of decline began under him and not under his son Selim II contrary to legend).
