I hope this doesn't sound too pathetic - thus past year I had moved out of my mom's for the first time ever, got my own place and she moved half way across the country. It was really hard for me, we always argued but now that she was really gone I felt so alone. I didn't realize it until recently but your videos have been helping me recover and adjust. I've been listening to you since 2013, when I had my first experience at an aquarium "underwater experience" show, before I came home and googled why some voices made me sleepy, and discovered you. To this day, I'm able to find peace and comfort in your videos, no matter where I am. I'll always have your impact on my soul :) I truly appreciate you and all that you do.

Not pathetic at all. I been listening to Maria since 2011 when I was in afghanistan alone in my metal box lol. I been through so much but every time I was going through something rough (like a break up) and I could not sleep, Maria was there for me and I was able to sleep an get through it bcuz of her. I dont knowyou or have never been in your situation, but I KNOW i can relate to the feeling you feel when watching Maria, because I think we all feel that same comfort from her :)
I still live with my mom and am still terrified of being away from her at age 31. when you have a good relationship with your mom, there is nothing else like it. especially if you're an only child and you've never had it any other way.
She is a godsend. During covid, my work quadrupled (mortgage purchases and refinance) and I could not turn my brain off/to do list…To sleep. Maria was the only thing that helped me fall asleep!!!!!!!!
One of the things I love most about the internet is that no matter where you go, all your familiar things are still right there. I've moved around a lot in my life, and those first couple of weeks feel so hollow and sad. Being able to go on Discord and talk to the same people, or put a familiar video on repeat while falling asleep (so it feels like someone is in the room with me) is SUCH a comfort! ❤️
That Dr. Seuss book, that just hit my heart heavily. My dad used to read that to me at night to get me to sleep. He read it so much in fact, he memorized it and even when it wasn’t with us when we traveled, he could read me the Sleep Book. Man, to be that child safe in bed with just the gentle lull of story telling. I miss that so much. Thank you Maria

Right now I am excited about lifestyle changes. A few months ago I finally got the courage to join the gym. I started because I am getting married in the fall and just wanted to lose weight but lately I am noticing all of the other changes that come with it. I have energy to spare, I am stronger than I have been since I was in my 20’s and I just plain proud of myself. And if I could be anything and not fail, I would want to own an assisted living home that caters to those with dementia.

I'm part of those who discovered your asmr videos ages ago (back in 2016) and have not stopped watching them since; so it was time to get in touch! Your content is not only a really effective way to relax at the end of my day, it's also packed with human warmth; the best of humankind really.
Bear with me for a second. I believe in the incredible power of human energy in affecting positive change around them. Just think about someone pulling a simple, genuine smile on a stage in front of a 50,000 strong audience; and the heart-warming effect radiating through everyone at once, maybe even leading to 50,000 immediate smiles back. (Sadly we mainly know how to use that power to cause damage.) You certainly are among those who know how to use that power effectively.
I admire your unique way of connecting with people. I find impressive how personal and intimate you manage to make your "conversations" when all done digitally without knowing nor ever meeting the majority of us. You have given me so much over the years, with nothing in return from me!...

The part with hallow tapping and she says "dot dot dot" so many tingles! Sounds accompanied by sound mimicking words are such a trigger! Or visual triggers with sound micking words. Huge tingles!

I have been studying really hard the last two years to learn something that has been very difficult for me, but I want to have the skill very badly. My mind first went to this for the quality question, to wake up tomorrow and be amazing at it, no effort required. But I thought better of it after a moment. Is that something I'd really want? So much of learning happens in the process. So I think instead I'd just like to be physically healthy.

Maria! I am almost 30 years old and that Dr Seuss sleep book was one of my and my little brother's absolute favourite bedtime books when we were small. There are entire pages of it that I still know almost by heart. It was so soothing and so nostalgic and to unexpectedly see it come up in one of your videos. Really lovely and just what I didn't know I needed today.
