  • Walk through the magnificent rain-forests of MacMillan Provincial Park on Vancouver Island. If you are on your way to Tofino this is a must see attraction. Bring comfortable hiking shoes and prepare to slow down and take it all in.

    I absolutely LOVE coming here, it's one of my favourite places here on the Island. If I had a car, I'd be here more often. I always think of Treebeard when walking amongst these beautiful giants!

      I have been visiting the island every year for over 20 years and I always love visiting Cathedral Grove the most! Almost as much as the roof goats in Coombs lol😀

    Happy New Year. I found the other video of Vancouver Island and I found it fascinating. From the mountains to the ocean, to the forest and all of the above. I will be heading to Vancouver Island in June. Thanks for taking the time to film the video of Cathedral Grove. It sure is a wonderful place.

    Was just at this spot, but it has been shut down for a couple months as fires damaged the roads before it and boulders were sliding on the road. Real sht show but hopefully it reopens soon. Sad for tourists who came here to see it and it was shut down, and the smoke was blocking all the views.

    I didnt get the sense they were much wider or larger in scale than some other old trees in parks and forests

    • @InsidersTravelGuideCanada
      @InsidersTravelGuideCanada  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah that's a tough one. I should have had more people in the shots to show the scale. Next time for sure.

      Honestly it's hard to show off how massive these trees are with video or picture. You have to go really experience the true scope of it.

      Trust me they are huge. We walked by a fallen tree that was a fifteen foot wall beside us. It’s amazing
