The shorter fiddle player with the higher pitched voice is bob wills, and the singer in the black cowboy hat and black shirt is Tommy Duncan. The band is the Texas playboys
Starrett rode 33 different white horses over the more than decade he played Durango Kid, he needed 2 just to play his own 2 roles, + there were different horses for different stunts, apparently he owned @ least 1 himself.
Singing cowboys were a long tradition, Durango was like a variety show, handsome hero, villain, comic relief, horseback chases, gun fights, fist fights, pretty girl.
