I have been watching you three for years and I believe I cried tears of happiness for you when you bought your land. SO explore every inch of it and love every minute of it. Live each day like its you last and Thank You for sharing your journey, experience and lives with us. It has been a pleasure.
I love the beginning stages. When I purchased my home, I had such dreams of a wonderful garden. The Work almost killed me, but it was a grand adventure with, in my humble opinion, a glorious outcome. LOVE my garden. As you work, PLEASE, take my advice. Lift with your legs, ... not your backs. Over time, lifting all those rocks with you back will make you pay big time! Very excited for you. :-)
You guys have inspired my wife and I so much! We have seen all of your videos, even the body paint ones and stuff from before scamp life! We bought a 21 foot school bus and did a very basic and simple conversion and are now living in it! We will be hitting the road very soon!
I have so much respect for these two. Being true to themselve and each other encouraging especially in such a consumer driven world! Keep on keeping on!
Favorite parts of this video: Baron is talking about Camp. Camp raises his eyebrow in acknowledgment. Love Elsa making a compost spot and being proud of herself. Adorable! Best part: you are on your land. So excited to follow you guys into your next chapter!
Your happiness is what matters the most! That said you made the right choice with fixing up the Subaru. A new car costs a fortune! Why have a bill when you don’t need one.
The absolute BEST phrase when buying land is, "and it backs up to national forest land". LOVE to watch you two getting the lay of your land. I spent a week with a friend of mine in the country. I came home with a TICK stuck in my hair!! How do you keep the "critters" off of you and Kamp?? 😊🐾💝
Absolutely love this video and your land. Trees, a river, elevation, and borders public land.....you definitely got a rare piece of paradise in that area of CO! ❤ Congratulations on holding out for exactly what you wanted! 👏
When I first saw the busted solar panel when the dramatic piano segue started playing at 3:29, my first immediate thought was, "Now, ain't that some shit." And Elsa saying "Dang...!" put the topping on the cake. :D
Especially right now with everything being overpriced. Anyone that buys a new or used car right now is going to lose a lot of money as the market normalizes.
“Today I’m just gonna show myself eating a BLT” 🤣🤣 I friggin love you Elsa. You rock too Barron haha! so glad you guys kept and upgraded the subie, such a sick looking rig and keeps it special and original! ALSO LOVE YOUR LAND! One day we will visit, ONE DAYYYY
Brewers yeast powder in your dogs dry food and thiamin/ Vitamin B 1 for you. In a pinch you can use nutritional yeast but it’s more expensive. Bugs don’t like the taste of it in the blood. Happy journey.
We bought land outside ATx 20+ yrs ago. Like y’all it took awhile to find. Required was land thick with oak trees. When we drove up to the property it instantly felt like home. When I see that look in y’all’s eyes on your land I see my husband and me looking at our land and how freaking amazing it was! That feeling will be with y’all from here on out. Super happy for y’all!❤️🌄
Soooo stoked every time you say you saved the Subi!!! Solid decision and again I was there last year and I don’t regret my decision to save my sweet Ninji Knight Rider. She is part of the family and will now be for years to come! Cheers.
What's the best way to make a Taurus ( Earth signs) ecstatic? Give them a piece of land!!! So cool to be a witness to the genuine happiness you two are experiencing with your very own corner of the world. It's breathtakingly beautiful! 🏞️😊
I highly encourage planting trees and setting up a retention structure in the drainage alleys. Not only will it benefit you but it will benefit the entire environment around you. Anytime you can slow rainwater down or decrease its total volume you reduce erosion and flooding down stream where it all adds up! Love yalls content!
I yelled -- out loud -- "SUBIE!" when the video began. Guess I'm slightly invested in you all... 💛🌄🥰. Freakin' awesome! You got a beautiful creek, Mt. Elsa, and LAND! Rock walls are going to become a new artistic endeavor (we call 'em "stone fences" in my parts). So very pleased for ya. Keep showing us around. And, yes, want to hear about the improved car.... it looks higher. Can't wait to hear/see what was done. Peace guys.
Your shared joy and fulfillment absolutely shines through every aspect of this video, it's truly lovely to see. I can't believe how readily you were able to set about making 'land' into 'home', especially in the face of so much adversity (RIP solar panel, hammer) and good to see Kamp feeling a bit better too!
Have no issues with y'all keeping the Forester & giving it a new heart. You know everything about your Subi, taken great care of it & it's been reliable+. Only been following for about a year or so. I may have missed vid's that address this but; you should give him/her a name.
I used to watch your videos many years ago. Then my life became very busy. Yesterday your videos…the energy of them, came up for me. Couldn’t remember the name….except for Scamp. Eventually found you guys again! Glad to see you’ve both grown (even more) closely. So glad you purchased a home base. I’ve been able to do such as well…5acres with a funky cabin w electricity but no water…wood stove heat…..we have one class C on the property for guests or my get away. I have a very tiny beeswax candle business that keeps money dribbling in and sustains my pocketbook. It is a ideal life. Plenty hard work. Sense of purpose. Close to Spirit. Simple Joy! Congratulations on your endeavors. I have years of videos to watch, to catch up to your channels adventures and lessons. Life is good. Thank you for sharing yours.
Same here. Turbo just blew in my 09 OB from stupid $15.99 banjo bolts clogging which (depending on oil tests) might have damaged engine from fragments.
People really like to 'mother' other people, especially on the internet. Being a mother of 3 myself, I'm not interested in being told or telling others what they should or shouldn't do. I'm too damn tired. I think what you guys are doing is pretty groovy. I hope everyone just lets you do you... Peace.🖖
So happy for this beautiful couple! They are going after their dream and taking control of their future!!! AND...they have a gorgeous Dog...lol! Luv U all!
What a spectacular view!! I am so elated for you two and Kamp, glad he’s feeling better. Congratulations and thank you for being so genuine….so inspirational 😊
I'm so happy you love your land / Barron's right that some vehicles are worth keeping / it'll be fun for all of us to watch all the Seasonal changes of Your Home...
“Dear Diary” 🤣 I had to stop there to comment or at the end of the video I would have gone on to 17 other things I loved. But THAT was hilarious! You two oops, I mean three do such an awesome, fun & absolutely great job!
Don't doubt the Subaru engine replacement.... ever. That Vehicle has CARRIED you... and now it will continue to do so. Great on you. There's always those who bash... ha. My first time responding to ya's, love the journey..... trust me, you've just opened the cover to the book of life... and that is witch we are all writing{sp}, lol. as we go with you. Never Waver,Never Doubt, and thank God every Morning for the day.. Blessings from your true friends and neighbours up north in CANADA... we got your back...:}
I’ve been putting off buying some Unbun bagels because I haven’t had any bread in almost 2 years, that sandwich just convinced me to order or find some locally. That looks so good
Camp is a trip...lol him riding on Barons back was cuteness overload. Hey..you ever thought about giving him his own channel? You know with lil kid voices and stuff? I love watching your excitement over your land and the prospects for the future. :)
That little dip where the water comes through--but not enough for a creek--could be a good place for farming. Self-watering and all the nutrients would pass through there.
I have started watching your vlogs last year in July and I am fascinated with your videos. Love camp and your mini cooking series. We love you here from the philippines 🇵🇭❤
4:25 Barron! You really ought to know by now to not give Mother Nature any ideas! She was like, “Oh, you want hail, do you? I think I can fit that in for you!” lol! Hopefully it didn’t last for too long. Watching the two of you on your own land was such a shot of joy for those of us (in Canada), that are still in lockdown. Ontario lifted its restrictions today, so we will see how that goes.... meanwhile, I love your videos, each and every single one.
My honey and I are a couple of old folks who have raised a family and traveled around a bit in a small trailer - early marriage and now again in "retirement". Can't begin to tell you how much we enjoy being part of your "family"! I was born and raised in Kansas City as well :~). Treasure your new land the new adventure. Thanks for making it possible for us to travel along with you two (three!) .
WOW ....You found paradise! It must feel so calming to know you don’t have to pick up and move. It’s yours!! It is breathtaking ! I knew it would be if you two bought it. Congratulations and look forward to seeing more of it in the future.🥳🇨🇦
I'm so late to watching this video and catching up but I cried when you announced you bought the land and I'm crying again. I'm so happy for your little family!
I love seeing all your adventures! I wish I would have followed my desires when I was young rather than taking the ‘traditional’ route. However, I’m now retired early and I am planning to begin full time van life as soon as I find a vehicle. Safe travels ~ keep on keepin’ on❣️P.S. Please don’t eat any more snakes!!! 😳🤮😳
How beautiful! That creek is delightful! I wanted to tell you about the horrifying insect situation that persuaded us to get a compost barrel that is up off the ground and closes 😬😳 if you compost it, they will come. They are gigantic cockroaches here in South Carolina. I wonder what sort of horrifying Eldridge horror insects you guys get? Can’t wait to see! Love you guys!!
Awesome! Really love seeing people keep older vehicles going! I had a 03 WRX that I lifted and had a lot of fun with throughout the western US. Miss that car A LOT.
I once worked on a landscape crew. We built a long long Cotswold wall of stone. Amazing technique they used once in the Cotswolds, walls standing for centuries.
While you’ve had to have less stuff living in the scamp as nomads, do you think you might build a small shed and acquire some tools now? Kept thinking how helpful a wheelbarrow would be as I watched you moving rocks.
Yes, the complete car story. All Barron’s research too. Lol did js rocks make great garden beds and homes as well? And those wood pieces can start a hugel garden!!! I love cactus too and the moss is a sign of wet ground a lot of the year so prepare for water!
Hi guys, hope you are well. The ideal vehicle is such a subjective thing but when you find yours, and it's the Subi, you'll know. And a new engine means a whole new, long life. My choice of wheels is Volvo XC70, so it's kinda along the subi lines and really practical in so many ways. The subi is a better off-roader though. I thought Elsa was just randomly clearing rocks and cacti before realising there was a purpose in what she as doing. A plan. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and keep up the good work. :)
Ah, Kamp is sooooooo cute. "no, I don't want to be filmed" turn the other way "I said I don't want to be in today's vlog" turn the other way "Elsa, WTF is wrong with you; you're not hearing me -- not today, I don't look my best" oh, sorry Kamp.
Glad you guys decided to fix the Subaru!! The land is amazing and those cactus flowers were absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing guys always appreciate it!
The first thing she builds is a compost! You're going to make it! Play! Learn! Live! Be happy!
human food in a compost will attract bears, etc.. Oughtta make it unavailable to wildlife.
“Elsa! I am preparing for an expedition.”😂😂😂
Me everytime I go outside my apartment.
I have been watching you three for years and I believe I cried tears of happiness for you when you bought your land. SO explore every inch of it and love every minute of it. Live each day like its you last and Thank You for sharing your journey, experience and lives with us. It has been a pleasure.
Yes! Exactly all of this!!!
Baron: "The only thing that can make this day worst is hail."
God: " I have that too" LOL
Welcome to high-altitude Colorado, where it can hail on the 4th of July!

“Dear diary, everything is in shambles..” 😂 hang in there.
My favorite segment! LOL!
The essence of 2020 and 2021
Omg such a funny couple! 🤣👍
That was cute! 😂

Schoolie life has to be incredible!! Congrats and thanks for watching!!
All of those rocks would make excellent and more permanent property markers. Stack them at the corners and halfway between.
glad to see the subie living another day :D
How ideal!
A pretty little creek right on your land and now a compost pile. 😊
It's really wholesome how happy you guys seem even just being on the land :) im excited to see what you guys make of it
I have so much respect for these two. Being true to themselve and each other encouraging especially in such a consumer driven world! Keep on keeping on!
Do what makes you happy. So happy for you both that you now have land.
You could get a large aluminum carport. To put the scamp and suburu under. For protection from the elements. Beautiful landscape👍 you have!
Kamp in the backpack is the most adorable thing ever!!
Ya, & their car goes with the Scamp. It's a nice matching pair.
I love watching Tyler and Todd who are carving out a home in the bush....now I also have you guys to watch which will be equally as fun and exciting.
LOVE! Tyler and Todd 😀
Love the boys!!

Welcom to southern CO. Lots of piñon juniper, and prickly pear cactus (edible).
You can burn the juniper greenery over a fire and save the ash .and use it for blue corn meaL mush
Yep and who doesn’t love piñons? Only if someone can teach them how to make the blue corn mush.
Watch Navajo Grandma's channel for everything you can do with a juniper tree. Yucca plants too.
I just love Kamp in the backpack. Just so cute❤❤❤❤❤
The car you own is always the cheapest car you will own. It is always smarter and cheaper in the long run to repair if you can!
Especially right now with everything being overpriced. Anyone that buys a new or used car right now is going to lose a lot of money as the market normalizes.
You have found paradise there - despite the difficulties. And one of the nicest parts of it all - No Close Neighbors!

Ya, blt? I was like...where's the closest fast food joint...but it's homemade!
& no one else would just buy dry land like that, but u guys r working it hard !
Oh man, Barron couldn't win for loosing and you guys were still all smiles.
Beautiful land. I'm so happy for you.
I don't think I've ever seen elsa smile so much. Im so happy for yall cant wait to see all that you have planned
Aww, Kamp was so proud of that coyote bone. He found quite the treasure! 🦴👀
You have a creek! That makes me super happy for you!

"Dear Diary" 🤣 Love you both! I'm SO FLUFFING STOKED for your adventure. What a DREAM!
You can burn the prickly parts off of cactus and compost it. We burn cactus pricks all the time so cows can graze on poke free cactus afterwards.
You made the right decision regarding the Subaru. I once had a VW Beetle that had three new motors. 😊❤️
yeah... I rather just get a toyota and drive in 300,000 miles than swap 3 motors
The nod of approval after the first bite. Delicous
