We invite you to turn your attention to this perfectly crafted 1966 Chevrolet C10, which has enjoyed a completed frame-off restoration in 2018. It only has 3,024 odometer miles, and 2,300 of them were put on it during the 2018 Hot Rod Power Tour.
BACKGROUND: The first-generation Chevrolet C10 (1960-1966) was launched in the fall of 1959 as a new body style of a light pick-up truck that featured many firsts.
This restored 1966 Chevrolet C10 has new, show-quality Mandarin Orange Metallic paint. The body condition underneath isn’t hiding any flaws - it has new metal in the floor, cab corners, rockers, and roof skin. The body lines and gaps are what you’d expect for a truck of this quality. It has been sealed inside and out with a bed liner spray. The hood, fenders, inner fenders have all been treated with rust inhibitor. In addition, a hidden latch has been installed on the new bed and tailgate. Other new items on this truck are the Optima battery, windshield, rear window, side windows with vent, door handles, gas tank (relocated to the rear) with billet fill door, fuel lines, aluminum radiator, aluminum transmission cooler, all LED lights, complete wiring, mirrors with LED turn signals, grill, cam bearings and freeze out plugs, rod and main bears, melling oil pump, high torque starter, flex plate & damper, aluminum heads 64CC/202SS, 1.5 roller rockers, 750 quick fuel carburetor, aluminum air cleaner, aluminum water neck, chrome timing cover & oil pan, 65000 volt HEI distributor, aluminum V belt pulleys, aluminum air condition bracket w/508 sanders compressor, aluminum power steering bracket & pulley w/chrome power steering pump, and all new synthetic fluids.
The interior is styled with new two-tone saddle leather. Also new are the seats, seat belts, one-touch power windows, upholstery, dash components, carpet, headliner, door panels, and sun visors. The instruments are Dolphin gauges. A custom dash has been installed to incorporate the gauges, A/C vents and controls. The custom console has stainless cup holders and a new Sony touch screen head unity with 6.5” speakers that sound incredible. Sound deadeners have been added upon the new carpet. Old Air brand air conditioning blows a cold 43 degrees.
Underneath the hood is a new 383 crate motor with a cast iron block, aluminum heads and intakes. It has a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system, billet aluminum pulley set and chrome A/C pump and alternator. The headers are hooked to a 3” diameter stainless exhaust and has magnaflow mufflers and turndowns in front of the rear axle. The transmission is a new Monster brand 700R4 overdrive transmission with a very mild 2200 stall converter. A one-piece drive shift connects to the rebuilt stock 3.73 rear axle with a billet cover, which is the correct gearing for this package. The rest of the drivetrain and suspension has been rebuilt and all in perfect condition. It has a 12 Bolt Rear POSI end and 3.73 gear ratio.
This 1966 Chevrolet C10 is an original short bed, 115” wheelbase truck, not a cut down long bed. It has been lowered 4 inches in the front and 6 in the rear. The frontend has CPP upper and lower control arms, lowering spindles, shocks and sway bar. The CPP turnbuckle steering arms connects the close-ration power steering box to the wheels. The rear has CPP trailing arms, shocks, sway bar, C-channnel and shock relocators. It is a coil spring rear end. The tires and wheels are chrome Ridler 650 and 20” front and rear Falken tires. As you can see in the video, this truck handles great and rides very smooth for a short bed lowered truck.
The brakes are Wilwood disc only all four wheels with a larger 14” fronts and 12” rear. Wilwood manual master cylinder with an adjustable proportional valve and all new stainless lines throughout. The parking brake has also been built with all new components.

Nice truck, terrible video. Call me crazy, but when I look at a truck for sale, I want to see the truck, not a fashion show or photo shoot for Hot Rod Magazine. You sales guys get carried away with that BS and it turns serious buyers off.
