A pleasure to see Dan at work 🙂
That trueing stand is huge! Beautiful craftsmanship. I rode a high wheeler once, I’d been on bicycles my whole life and as an adult the joy felt was the same as first learning to ride a “safety” bike. Very fun.
Beautifully engineered and built. A credit to you .
Lovely birds
Lovely to see those beautiful bikes being made. Hoping to secure my spot on the waiting list in a couple of months time 🤞😬🤞
This is so cool. Love your work, Dan. Now we can share some of the effort behind building such a machine to people interested. Great editing.
Well made video; always delighted to see your fabulous work Dan!
Nice video . dismounting must be an adventure.
Nice!!! Another video to watch over and over again in excited anticipation. Thank you very much, can't wait, I needed this.
Классная мастерская. С удовольствием хотел бы поработать там и научиться у мастера ремеслу. И интересно было бы покататься на таком велосипеде.)
I wish I try to ride a penny farthing someday, heh.
It's like unicycling on my 29"uni but with much, MUCH larger wheel.
Respect! Very interesting to see how you make tires.
Great video! Wish we could have seen the end badge😉
What operation are you performing about 9:30 minutes into the video when running a roller around the wheel between the tire and rim. Are you attempting to seat the tire into the rim?

Dan, why does the pipe not go spaghetti curly in the big bender? Does the action force it to remain straight?
Absolutely perfectly aligned dies so the pressure applied from the radius of the die is symmetrical so it equalises the forces.
@@pennyfarthingdan Thank you, sir! Such beautiful work you do. Thank you for keeping the art & tech alive. (I ride a 48")

Hi Dan, glad to see you! I have a creative experimental idea for you, why don't you create a penny-farthing, but so that the front wheel is only the leading one, and the steering wheel is made small by using cables, as is done on modern cargo bicycles. The front wheel will be the leading one, but it is fixed with the help of additional horizontal feathers, completing a full-fledged dropout. Moreover, I suggest that instead of a simple bushing, put a 3-step planetary one so that you can at least rest and not pedal all the time. And that in the dry balance, we will get a comfortable, safe bike, but at the same time with the advantage and feeling of a penny-farthing, a sense of flight and freedom.
I didn't know you could get that extruded aluminum to make wheels from. Hmmmmm.
It’s my own custom made design and production, specifically for big wheels.
Cool can you fix my tricycle please

Depends on the type of bike he builds. But it can go as high as $8,000. Check out his website in the description for more information.
