I do not understand why people keep saying that this is the Star of Bethlehem. It is not the Star of Bethlehem. I say again, it is not the Star of Bethlehem!!! What we're going to see tonight is Jupiter and Saturn. And they're always together in the sky all year long for the most part. Just look to the southeast and you can see them. That's what we're going to see tonight. However, the Star of Bethlehem is Venus and Jupiter not Saturn and Jupiter. Venus is extremely bright in the night sky anyway along with Jupiter being as bright as it is, when you put the two together, actually side by side, they produce so much light that it's almost like a full moon. That's not what we're going to say tonight. However, what we're going to say tonight will be pretty bright. Anyway TTFN Merry Christmas
Yeah, Monday, my opinion, was not that bright and kinda disappointing after all the hype. It was still neat, but nothing like what Jupiter and Venus would look like.

From an explanation I heard from a reliable source, early Church Fathers chose the time around the pagan festival, because it was already a highly recognized time of celebration. It was also explained that the early Church Fathers chose & designated for a Sunday in the also then highly recognized time of pagan “Oester” (Easter), to be the chosen & designated time when they celebrated *new life*, which is what Jesus’ Resurrection also means to people - a time of *New Life* in Jesus The Messiah’s rising from the dead, to call all men to Himself and His Return to Heaven in His Victory over sin and death, as The Sacrificial Lamb having died on the Cross to Save us; to be the time when we honor The Lord Jesus, The Christ’s Resurrection.
Jesus was born in the spring. December 25th is winter solstice and instituted by the Roman Catholic Church.
Then you should celebrate jesus's birth on another day. The point is you pick a day to celebrate the birth of our lord.

❗❗Ok so I've seen where everyone is excited to see the Star of Bethlehem tonight. Well I want to give you all some food for thought, like I was given, and then maybe get your opinions as well. ❗❗
In the book of Revelations it talks about signs and wonders in the sky such as the sun turning black as sack cloth (solar eclipse), the moon as red as blood (blood moons), stars falling from the Heavens (meteor showers), etc. Well all these things have happened this year. Now we will be witnessing the Star of Bethlehem for the 1st time in 800 yrs.
The original Star of Bethlehem was when Jupiter was in conjunction with Venus. This star is Jupiter in conjunction with Saturn.
We all know the 1st star signified the coming of Jesus.
We all know the Antichrist likes to mimmick everything the Lord does.
So with this star actually being different from the original, could this one actually mean the coming of the Antichrist? Especially with all the signs and wonders we've experienced this year.

Hi. You are very correct in your analysis. You may also be interested to learn, from the perspective of the Last/Final Testament, the Quran, that Jesus wasn't even born in December!
The Quran states that at the time that Mary ( Maryam) was to give birth, she rested under a date tree and took nourishment from the dates. In that part of the world, dates are not available to pick from trees in the month of December.

Yeshua was not born in December - it is only the time we celebrate His birthday. He was born in the fall or spring - not in the middle of the winter.

Don't be ridiculous. The star of Bethlehem wasn't a star as we know stars at all. It moved and then became geostationary above Bethlehem. It was at such a low altitude that ancient people could tell it was over Bethlehem and not some other town. If the ancients could measure say 5 deg and a nearby settlement was 10 km away, the star had to be less than 110 km altitude. If it stood over and thereby identified the actual stable where Jesus was born as Matthew suggests. It must have been very low indeed, perhaps 100m or so. Obviously, whatever it was looked like a star but that isn't a star or a planet or an asteroid, it's a mystery.

@@beckyc3127 I don't know about that exact date. But some Bible scholars believe it could not have been in December, because of the rainy season in that part of the world (i.e., the sheep would not have been out in the fields with the shepherds tending them).

The house? What scripture are you reading? Jesus was in Egypt for most of his early years hiding from Herod's soldiers. There was no star in Egypt.
@@CannabrannaLammer Luke 2:4-19 relates where Jesus was born and described Him as a baby in a manger. Please continue the story to Matthew 2. It says, “After Jesus was born in Bethlehem, .........”. Then on verse 11, it says, “On coming to the house, they saw the child with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshipped Him.” Therefore by the time the Magi found Jesus, He had grown to be a child. Christmas cards with baby Jesus in the manger and the Magi are all wrong. Hope that clarifies.

No conjunction cannot be the star of Bethlehem. The Magi followed the "Star" from Persia. It took a month to get to Bethlehem where the light stopped directly over the town. They had no problem finding baby Jesus in a manger. If they were truly following a star, they would have surely continued traveling west and only at night. But the Magi saw this light in the daytime as well. You will not see these planets in the day nor would you still see them together for a month.

@@media333 The Magi (three wise men) came from Bagdad. Over 1000 km. They were Persian. They are from a sect of priest of which the prophet Daniel was a member 200 years earlier. Daniel instructed them to watch for the star and when it would come in the future.

The star of Bethlehem was only visible to believers. Voltaire notes that both the Romans and the Arabs in Palestine kept meticulous notes on celestial observations. Neither reported any unusual sightings around the time of Jesus' birth.
The conjunction of Jupiter & Saturn was in the Pisces zodiac, very low in the sky, just before the rising of the sun. The Greek word in Matthew means, "in helical rising", (not "in the east", although of course it was in the east, which is where the sun rises). Pisces represents a fish. A fish represents the sea. The Magi interpreted this to mean, a King (Jupiter) who would eclipse evil (Saturn) would be born in the land by the sea, more specifically, Judea. So they went to Jerusalem to find out. Thence onto Bethlehem.

I've already seen it. I'm in West Africa. Don't get too excited. It's really not that exciting.
Many believe that the magi did not come looking for Jesus until two years after his birth. That is the reason that Herod had all children 2 years and younger, slain. Apparently the phenomenon translated as 'star' could just as fairly be translated as 'glow' or 'shining'.
If Magi meant scientists who studied the stars and they came from the East, I wonder why westerners don't think beyond Babylon or Persia. Actually India was one place which was really very very strong in astrology and astronomy. In fact, many thousands of ago the Vedic almanac was drawn up which is so accurate that the difference between it and western almanac drawn up just a few hundred years ago is just six seconds. I believe the three Wiseman could have been from India or Tibet who knew the planetary positions very well and could calculate and plot quite easily the latitude where the star would appear in such a bright fashion.

The 'star' mentioned isn't talking about one in the heavens, because nobody has ever seen a star standing over a house/place: Matthew 2:9 "And having heard the king, they went their way; and lo, the star, which they had seen in the east, went on before them, until it came and stood over where the Child was.
" The Greek word is 'astayr'. Revelation 1:20 says "... the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches ..." (same Greek word).
The Christmas Star was probably comet 22P Kopff. It appeared in the sky east of Jerusalem in April of the year 4 BC. Some think that Jesus was born then. Nobody seems to know for sure as there are differing opinions each similarly plausible.

This is a wonderfully done video, but I'm confused by your comment around the 40 second mark. The Babylonian Talmud wasn't written down until about 500 A.D. I'm sure Daniel is the reason the Magi came from the East, but they did not have the "Babylonian Talmud."

I'm sure the star of Bethlehem was a UFO phenomenon because I saw one stationary one hour standing. I am also of the opinion that a UFO is capable of being in one precise direction, that is, at the destination, at one exact point, brilliant brightness.

The MessiYAH wasn’t born on the 25 of December so this has nothing to do with Him. Y’all celebrating a lie don’t care how they dress it up. Did the Bible tells us the date of His Birth ? The answer is no. What our Heavenly Father wants us to do is to honor Him every day, to live in obedience.
Why are people celebrating by giving gifts to people who don’t need anything taking their children to see Santa/satan.
If we want to honor why not use the extra money and go feed the less fortunate the homeless I think our Savior the Almighty Father would appreciate that more people cooking all this food some of it end up in the trash when people out there hungry.
