KRS-ONE REFUSES TO BE OBEDIENT HOUSE NEGRO FOR THE CULTURE VULTURES & OUTLETS EXPLOITING HIP-HOP

  • The Teacher breaks down how he will not be an obedient house negro for outlets who don’t respect or honor the culture looking to monetize off the culture.
He says fuck you to the grammy's, stands on Hip Hop morals before bending over for outlets who don’t give a fuck about representing the true essence of Hip Hop.

Much respect to the teacher! He's 1000% right for declining the invitation. Let's not forget that Mainstream music ignored the genre known as Hip Hop. Let's not forget how the naysayers said that the genre wouldn't last 10 years . Let's not forget how the artform was ridiculed, made fun of and often bastardized when it was on the come up.
NOW that white America has yet again found anther way to steal that which was created in the black and Latino ghettos of America NOW suddenly mainstream music wants to include Hip Hop?! NAH Miss me with that BS!!!!!

KRS-One is from a different era, when there was still something real, and raw about the music.
The days when BDP, Poor Righteous Teachers, A Tribe Called Quest, and even PE were doing the thing, and making real music are long gone.
I theorize that the initiation of this destruction was the introduction of 'gangster rap' around 1990, when it came along promoting and attempting to legitimize all of the worst stereotypes about young black men. Then, when there was a glimmer of hope, in the early 90s, with Tupac Shakur, he was hunted down and character assassinated, throughout his brief career, until that night in Vegas. In fact, the cover story for his murder, up through the current day, has been that it was a 'gang-related' killing.

14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
Acts 7:6 And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years.
7 And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.

    32:13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
Isaiah 28:15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
16 ¶ Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
Jeremiah 16:19 O Lord, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

Rap and Hip-Hop are both Black AmericanDOS creations, however they're two different things with different histories. Ninety-nine percent of the time when people say Hip-Hop what they really mean is Rap, the "Hip-Hop" term needs to be phased out when discussing music. Technically, Hip-Hop is a youth movement that was birthed in the Bronx and died there. The Hip-Hop term has been misused and thrown around loosely and inappropriately for decades, it's caused confusion and that's one of the reasons Rap doesn't have a proper standard history as a music genre. You don't associate the creation of Blues or Jazz with any type of separate youth or cultural movement so why would you do it with Rap?

He's telling the truth because if he wanted to, back when he started, if he went the same route as Dr. Dre and others, financially he would be up there. Probably way up there, to be honest.

And didn’t do jack for Scott LaRock’s family after Scott got murdered. KRS is a great artist with a lot of good messages in his music, but he doesn’t seem to be that great at being a human.

@@moussegarbonzo8352yo. You probably don't know that Scott's family never liked KRS ONE they looked down on him as low life street kid, and they blame KRS for his death.

@user-SubvurzIVKRS ONE did not and does not support the wicked behavior of an individual, KRS ONE refused to throw Bam's positive contributions in the trash. Be careful not to misrepresent people's stance.

@@ZZEB Scott LaRock Jr looked down on KRS? He was a baby when his father was murdered. Regarding the Bambaataa situation, I saw at least two interviews he talks about it. It’s much deeper than KRS refusing to throw Bam’s contributions in the trash. He refused to acknowledge the allegations and said if it’s true it tarnishes all of Hip Hop. Which is a ridiculous claim. He also said Black folks don’t talk about these things in the hood and don’t go to police. Those are his excuses. In the words of Ka, “it ain’t snitchin’ if you’re telling on a pedophile”. That’s real.

@@ZZEB And don’t get me wrong, I’ve been listening to KRS and BDP since the beginning and have seen him live and still think it’s the best Hip Hop show I ever saw. But the way he defended Bam is unforgivable. Both Bam and KRS have contributed heavily to the Hip Hop culture. I won’t take that away from either of them. But they are forever badly tarnished as human beings as far as I’m concerned. Hurting kids like that is never ever ever ever okay, and defending it is vile.
