- Video: An afternoon spotting trains passing at high speed at Lenham Heath on High Speed 1, this spot features passing Eurostar services to/from London St Pancras Intl, Paris Nord, Brussels Midi/Zuid, and Amsterdam Centraal (incl. a 373 in service on the 9031/9040 Paris Nord services), and passing Southeastern services to/from London St Pancras Intl, Margate, Dover Priory, Ramsgate, and many ECS moves heading from Ashford Depot to London for the evening peak.
This location is close to the TVM-430 speed reduction for the Ashford flyover by the Lenham Heath freight loop lines, so most passing Eurostar trains are seen varying between speeds of 270 and 300kmh (168 - 186mph).
TRAINS INCLUDED:
Eurostar Class 373 TGV TMST e300 & Class 374 Velaro e320s, and Southeastern Class 395 Javelins.
