Building Bullards Bar Dam, Part 1

See vintage video of the third version of Bullard's Bar Reservoir dam under construction. At 645 feet high and completed in 1969, the dam is in the top 40 in the world for height and in the top 50 for reservoir size. The "new Bullard's Bar dam" is the second highest in California and 5th tallest in the U.S. Five miles downstream the reservoir drives two of the largest Pelton wheels in the world to generate electricity.
