- See various methods for solving equations for x (linear, quadratic, exponential, etc.). This video uses the Casio fx-991EX Scientific Calculator. You will see how to use the Calculate Menu and Shift-Calc (Solve); use a table of values with the Table Menu; use the Equation Solver Menu (polynomial); and use the Inequality Solver Menu. Depending what type of equation you have will help determine the most appropriate method.
While solving the equation of first type, the calculator asks value of x and some equations can only be solved if you enter the value in specific range. Otherwise it just displays 'Cannot Solve'. How is the initial value of x selected of that type of equation?

hey, how do i use it to calculate the brackets and show it in a polinomial form? for example i want answer for x^4+4x^3(1-x)+5x^2(1-x)^2+3x(1-x)^3. The answer i want to get is: -x^4+3x^3-4x^2+3x. Can I solve this on the calculator?

But in calculate menu we can't write complex numbers
So how do you solve that then?

For solution 1, do ensure u reset the calculator memory, as it seems to be storing the previous answer and using it to derive along with the equation.

how do i remove L-r its interfering with my calculations
L-R only appears on the solutions screen of the SOLVE function and stands for left member / right member. L-R shows the precision of the solution presented above it (e.g. 2x+5=0; x=-2.5; L-R=0)
@@CasioEdTechhi could you pls tell me how to make sure l-r is zero since it keeps giving the wrong answer when it's not zero. I once calculated √(14-13cosx)^2+(13sinx)^2 =15 and it gave me the correct answer which is 67.38. But then i reset my calculator and now it keeps on giving me the wrong answer with 10000012.62 with 9.3907x10^-9 as the L-R. Pls help me fix this issue. Thank you!
But in a quadratic equation there are two values of x...only 1 was given how to get both of them?

i had the same problem and when i got x=0 i pressed enter again and it gave me the value.
I figured it out u have to click the equal sign twice, and u just have to hope the x u put in right 😢 if it's wrong it will show an error
