  • In this segment of Blueprint Explosive Exclusive, Meghna Deka will take us through the landmark verdict by the Supreme Court of India for 'Equality'. The Supreme Court declared on Wednesday that the "religion-neutral" clause applies to all married women, regardless of their religion, and that a Muslim woman may request maintenance from her husband under Section 125 of the CrPC. Some of the key takeaways of SC judgement:
    - '1986 Act confers benefit of maintenance for divorced Muslim woman'.
    - 'Muslim women can seek maintenance under secular provision of Sec 125 of CrPC'.

This vedict is Mathetharam. Indian Muslims will appreciate this. Extrimists who support Rahul and India Munnani will not accept this. Rahul is interested on divide and rule.

Congress bitching is misplaced as this issue has been ruled upon by the SC & shows no involvement of ND Modi or Amit Shah. As regards releasing the convicts linked to the BB case, they should ask the High Court.

One minute! What kind of a reporting is this?! Is the reporter trying to sensationalise the same verdict that has already been given by the Supreme Court in 1985?! The reporter must have heard of the Shah Bano case for the first time. But here the apex court has only reiterated the pervious judgement and explained it. It has not given any new verdict on the claim of maintenance of the Muslim women.

We stand by Almighty Allah's commandments and in case of husband divorcing, wife is maintainable till iddat period and thereupon it is illegitimate and haram for divorced woman to claim as she is not longer wife. However children have to be maintained by father upto certain age with certain rights of father. These injunctions are based on natural justice and equity, which we are entitled by Article 125 of our indian constitution as well. Hindu personnel can never understand our sharia as they don't practice monotheism. Planted debaters have no impact on our opinion till doomsday.

This is the ritualistic aspect of religion you are talking about. Its different from the core aspect of religion, which is mostly universal in nature. India is not a theological state, with a state religion. So ultimately we ll have to move towards UCC under article 44, it might take time due to social inequality and acceptance, but in the due course of time UCC will be the norm.
