Draping a Skirt with a Box Pleat

In this video, I show you how to drape an A-Line Skirt with a Box Pleat and....a HIDDEN POCKET!!
Box pleats are made up of two pleats facing away from each other or, in other words, they are formed when two folds of fabric are folded away from each other giving a wide vertical pleat.

Looks great. Never thought of doing a pocket that way with the fashion fabric. Depends on the weight of the fabric and the feel.i usually cut them from silky fabric which doesn't show and it feels nice.

Thank you for this. I have been thinking of a wrap around skirt, into pants. Using box pleats at the front and back to hide the front crotch and the rise seam. And possibility the side seams too.
