Arrested Development is an American television sitcom created by Mitchell Hurwitz. The show follows the Bluths, a formerly wealthy dysfunctional family. It is presented in a serialized format, incorporating handheld camera work, voice-over narration, archival photos, and historical footage. The show maintains numerous running gags and catchphrases. Ron Howard serves as both an executive producer and the omniscient narrator and, in later seasons, appears in the show portraying a fictionalized version of himself.
The series received critical acclaim, six Primetime Emmy Awards, and one Golden Globe Award, and attracted a cult following. It has been named one of the greatest TV shows of all time by publications including Time, Entertainment Weekly, and IGN. It influenced later single-camera comedy series such as 30 Rock and Community.

A lot of jokes that aren't on one TV show will eventually end up being on some other show. But Arrested Development is so different. If AD hadn't been on, there NEVER would have been a "mayonegg" joke, much less one so GD funny.

People tend to overlook just how incredible Micheal Cera was in these scenes. For instance, the mayon-egg scene wouldn't have worked half as well if it hadn't been for the faces and sounds he made, and the sincere display of his affection for Ann. He really gave Bateman something to be horrified about 😂😂😂
I agree. About the 3rd or 4th time Michael says "Who? I haven't met her.." George Michael answers almost under his breath, "You've met her... so many times..." It was another perfect delivery by Cera. I also like how GM kind of pauses as he's talking to Michael when he gets blue on his fingers as he's getting something out of the refrigerator. Little subtle stuff makes this show so hilarious.
Honestly he and Bateman are such great actors. It’s the little intricacies like this that set them apart!!
Michael Cera was amazing in AD. One of the youngest, but, I think, one of the BEST actors on the show.
When they had an all-cast reunion, the host asked who the most talented actor was and literally everyone said Michael cera, hands-down.

I will never get over how brilliant the "Ann hog" bit is. You think it's just a little throw away line, then they drop, "Check out who's riding that hog in the rearview mirror." It's so beautiful.

Omg I didn’t catch that the first time! I guess it was because there was time elapsed between the two jokes so you had to be remembering that he’d said “Ann hog” earlier in the episode in order for the motorcycle joke to make sense. I hadn’t remembered, and thus the joke flew right over my head!!

Her involvement in Season 4 was especially indicative of a cool attitude, since by that time she had become a pretty big TV star thanks to Parenthood. She was arguably more successful at that point in time than any other actor on AD.

When Lindsay says "Check out who's on that hog" she is refering to the private investigator on the motorcycle. However, hog is also used to describe a pig. Michael thinks that she is talking about George Michael mounting egg@@kaymadd

@@hurryingman9071 It’s just part of the running gag where Michael verbally mixes up Ann’s name with other things, in this case the common phrase “it’s as plain as the nose on your face.” But it’s perfect.
On top of that, 'plain' is a classic (though dated) term for a person who isn't especially attractive@@hurryingman9071
